Ray Perini is running for Suffolk County District Attorney in 2017. Ray is a formerray periniSuffolk Prosecutor, and Brooklyn Prosecutor. Ray established the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office Narcotics Bureau. In 2017 Ray vows to take the fight to the gangs in Suffolk County, end Suffolk County’s heroin crisis, and take politics out of law enforcement.  Ray started at Kings County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney in 1973. Between then and 1976, he tried numerous cases including high level narcotics prosecutions.  In 1976, Ray was recruited by the Suffolk County District Attorney to start the Narcotics Bureau. He remained as Chief Narcotics Prosecutor until 1989. During his tenure, he prosecuted Columbian nationals smuggling heroin and cocaine into Long Island, as well as organized crime figures and gang members involved in the distribution of cocaine and heroin into Suffolk County. Ray founded the law firm of Perini & Hoerger in 1989. The firm specializes in high level felony investigations and litigation in both state and federal courts.
