dinapoliTom Dinapoli, New York State Comptroller is a Democrat – is the 54th Comptroller of the state of New York. He is a former state assemblyman in New York – who was appointed as New York State Comptroller on February 7 – 2007. He’s been making government more accountable and transparent to the people for more than 35 years.  The New York State Comptroller manages the State’s $200 billion pension fund – audits the spending practices of all State agencies and local governments.  He was formerly the Chairman of the Assembly Environmental Conservation Committee.  DiNapoli is from Long Island.   Since taking Tom DiNapoli has aggressively fought misuse of public resources – strengthened one of the nation’s top public pension funds – and consistently spoken out against fiscal gimmicks – imprudent actions and government inefficiency.
