Jesse Powell (lt) –PhD Founder and President of Maglev 2000.

James R. Powell (rt) – Director of the MAGLEV 2000 of Florida Corporation. Dr. Powell invented the superconducting Maglev while at the Brookhaven National Labs in Long Island. He holds patents for the Particle Bed Reactor (PBR) for nuclear rocket propulsion, and many other scientific break throughs. Maglev is a system built on the repulsion and attraction of magnets which causes an elevated, non-friction mode of transportation. Maglev vehicles are – essentially – just an empty box with magnets attached to the corners. Building a 300 mph maglev and its guideway will be ultimately much cheaper and easier to build than any other transportation mode.
