Speaker 1 Well, we’re on the brink of a new year, and it’s Sunday morning, and what’s going on in New York. Well, people are scared. Lots of things happening. What U is today is AJ Carrow, and he owns the Aero Security company, And you give us a glimpse of how executives and how various business people feel in New York. AJ, happy

new year to come and hope it’s a great new year for all Americans. People are still scared walking around. People are still scared going out to dinner at night when it’s dark. Tell us what you feel.

Speaker 2 Well. I think things are are changing, and I think recently with the United Healthcare CEO getting assassinated, it has brought things up to the forefront that people we’re kind of not paying attention to enough in certain aspects on the executive side of it. So I think you have an overall look at that situation not going in a

great direction. You know, there’s more shootings and more shootings in schools, and executives a big company is being targeted anytime there’s a disruption. You know, looking forward to to January, the new presidency is going to be both sides of it.

It’s going to be good things potentially, and then there’s always a fallout, So there’s going to be people pro and again, I think the decline of trust on a governmental side, on an institutional side, on large companies, like we’re seeing people just don’t trust people in power as much as they used to. So I think you’re going

to see things not in a great situation for a while, and you have to pay attention. You have to pay attention for yourself, your family potentially, just be more observant because I think things are going to get worse before they get better.

Speaker 1 Hey, Jake, tell us about your company. How big is your company?

Speaker 2 We have about seven thousand employees right now, and we’re growing at a pretty good rate and we’re expanding. We’re doing more acquisitions going in.

Speaker 1 And with the service corporate the corporate world as well as corporate executives.

Speaker 2 Yeah, so we have a couple of parts of the company. We do corporate investigations, we do security guards, then we do executive protection, and we do it for all kinds of companies, so the biggest companies in the world, the governments.

We do work for school districts, universities, all kinds of things the City of New York. You know, we’re doing security for the migrant centers for the past two years now when we were doing the you know, during COVID, we were doing COVID testing sites and mobilized for the City of New York. So things along those lines are

what we do on a regular basis. So school, your regular school district, we could go to school, we have guards at those. You know.

Speaker 2 Even that is another thing that you see a change in the State of New York. They’re starting for more and more armed security guards at schools. You know, I’ve been doing this for thirty years. That never happened before.

Over the past couple of years, it’s been a shift that certainly this past year a big shift that we just haven’t seen before.

Speaker 1 No, I understand. And I talked to the governor last week and I asked her to re look at her policy that people would carry permits, should be able to carry it in a restaurant, because right now you’re not allowed to carry it in a restaurant because of the fact they serve alcohol, and also you can’t take it

to church. So you know, you putting you know, a lot of people would carry permits, put this disadvantage.

Speaker 2 Well, people that had permits before. I have carried permits before, like you and I. Now that that carried permit is worth less. You can go less places than you could before, especially because of that Supreme Court reversal. Yeah, change things.

Speaker 1 Because we have to protect our families and protect you know whoever, and protect ourselves. Yeah.

Speaker 2 So I think there’s a big, big uptick in people applying for pistol permits. You know, people that I’ve known for twenty or thirty years never had gun before. They are getting guns. But it’s an interesting situation with the the permitting process in the state of New York after the Supreme Court decision. So they came back with you know,

accounted to the Supreme Court decision to make it more difficult in some regards to get a pistol permit. And then some counties are getting sued, I know, like Nassa County is getting sued because they wanted your social media use the name and passwords as part of the process, and I believe there’s lawsuits now against them for that.

So they start to make up their rules on a county level about the permit.

Speaker 1 And exact the governor’s officer the Attorney General’s office, who is that? And well, is it a law or is it an executive order?

Speaker 2 Well, at a state level they changed things, and then on the county level, wherever you get your permit from, they have their own rules and they were I think largely not governed very tightly because I think the rules are different county by county on what they require is what sort of a background check and how long it’s taken.

So they run somewhat independently as far as I.

Speaker 1 Have seen understood, And have you found that your business has doubled in the last two three years because it is a migrant crisis. I mean, I don’t understand, and I’ve said this publicly, how they allowed people of Homeland Security or whoever pressed the button, how they allowed murderers and in criminals from other countries to come in.

Speaker 2 It’s astounding that they were just allowed to come right in and people that were even convicted of crimes that they knew were criminals and other country were allowed to come in here. Now these people are dispersed all over the place, and you know, even if there’s a round up like they’re talking about, people aren’t going to just

sit around waiting. They’re going to disperse, They’re going to hide, They’re not going to want to leave. So as they start closing these migrant censors, these people are going to go somewhere. They’re not gonna just sit around. So it’s going to be an interesting situation over the next six months or so.

Speaker 1 Well, would you please keep us informed, AJ and AJ carrow And from the aerow Security Company, Thank you so much for everything you do keeping Americans safer and corporate executive safer, and look forward to meeting you again realso sounds good.
