Speaker 2 With us.

Speaker 1 Today’s Edward Romaine and he’s running for Suffolk County Executive and today, well, actually on Friday, he was endorsed by the Police Beenelvings Association of Suffolk County. Edwardmayne tell us what’s going on.

Speaker 2 What’s going on is in this race. Not only has the PBA, the Detectives, Association of Superior Officers, Correction Officers, WUT Sheriff’s, Suffolk Police Conference and the State Police Conference have all endorsed my candidacy. All law enforcement, I am happy and proud to say, is supporting me because my desire to keep the residents of my county safe.

Speaker 1 And so you got all the law enforcement agencies to endorse you, which I guess Suffolk County is going to be a law and order.

Speaker 2 County I hope so absolutely. My opponent is running on a working families as well as a Democratic line, and as you know, they are supporting defunding the police, castless bail, clean slate for felons, things I don’t support. Obviously, a law enforcement is concerned about the future of the county and about keeping our county safe and keeping the crime

rate down, and that’s one of the reasons that they have endorsed me. And obviously, as as we’ve discussed in the past, I’ve told you that I don’t believe Suffie County should be a sanctuary county. I see what it’s doing to the city. I can’t believe it. Our presidents should be closing the borders, to be securing our borders

and vetting any of the migrants that come into our country. Look, we’re a nation of immigrants. We all come from different places. But you cannot have open borders.

Speaker 1 You have to have check some balances of who’s coming and going. And I said, doctor President Clinton, when I spoke to him last week and he was on our radio show, even he said, he said, you have to have checks and balances. Just like when my forefathers, my grandfather’s came there was Ellis Island and they they would check. Yeah,

we need I said to the mayor, Mayor Adams, they should take Riker’s Island, rename it Ellis Island and put everybody over there and let them, you know, check and balances. Make sure we don’t have terrorists, make sure we don’t have drug dealers, and make sure we don’t have sick people entering our our system. I had doctor Mihailos on

before and doctor Milo says that tuberculosis cases coming in from mostly the migrants probably is the worst it’s ever been and it’s making our kids in schools sick.

Speaker 2 Public health is a major thing, and that’s absolutely true. It’s also the southern borders with most of the pentanol comes in. And I can tell you in Suffolk County we had three hundred and ninety nine deaths from Fenton all last year, and nationwide we had seventy thousand deaths.

More people died from Fenton all last year in the United States than they in Vietnam War. I mean, this is something that should worry us. Or with the drugs coming in over the southern border, the human trafficking, people who are carrying diseases, people have criminal records. We have an open border. We were having thousands of people just

pour into it every day. Now that doesn’t mean we’re a posted immigration. We just want a more orderly process and not open borders.

Speaker 1 Well everybody agrees with that. Well ed remain Suffolk County. You’re running for Suffer County executive. If I lived out there, I’d be voting for you. Thank you. Very much for coming on and anything else you want to tell all the people in our city, state, or country or county.

Speaker 2 Yes, John, you’ve lived there for forty years. In the summer and on weekends. We’re going to make you an honorary citizen the next time you’re in this county. You’ve lived here longer than just about anywhere else. God bless you, Thank.

Speaker 1 You, ed remain and we’ll catch up with you again real soon. Thank you
