– “The Zika virus originated in Africa, it was first discovered in 1947…lately there has been a huge outbreak of this virus in South America. It is carried by mosquitoes. If a mosquito bites someone who has the virus and that mosquito flies on and bites another person that second person also gets the virus….1.6 million people have been infected.”
– The CDC “flatly told me that they are not going to assist local communities within the U.S. to eradicate mosquitoes and yet all across the southern U.S. they are at risk year round…right now its only a travel disease, only people in South America have it…travelers are bringing it back to our southern states…mosquitoes will bite someone in the U.S. who has been infected and that’s how the disease will start being endemic in the U.S. as well.”
