Speaker 1 Lynn’s warriors won the war with us. Today is Lynn Shuwa and she runs lynswarriors dot org, which protects all our children nationwide. Well, Lynn, you won the war. Give us, give all Americans an update.

Speaker 2 Good morning, John, We are so excited we’re here today to discuss this major development in the fight to protect our kids and families online. Right, we’re always talking about digital safety online AI. Well, this is great and impactful news coming out of Washington, d C. Now let me take you back a little bit. Last May nineteenth, twenty

twenty five, the warriors we stood in the White House in the Rose Garden with the President and the First Lady. They signed together the first time AFLOATIS actually signed a piece of legislation, the Buy Partisan Take It Down Act, into law. This landmark designed to combat the spread of these non consensual intimate images. And John, with all this

AI generated deep fakes now and online sexual exploitation, this is groundbreaking. But the good news is it took a year. John, I’m still trying to figure out why it took a year. But it’s a year later, and now the Federal Trade Commission the FTC is officially beginning enforcement of this law. Marking.

This is a major turning point.

Speaker 1 Now you know what the law is. I know what the law is, but there’s millions of Americans out there listening to us that don’t know what the law is. Tell them exactly what the law is the law exactly.

Speaker 2 First of all, let me direct everybody to the website. The website is take it Down dot FTC, dot gov as a very important website. What is this Taken Down Act that I’m talking about. Well, the law requires online platforms, not you. If you see your image online, right, the platforms themselves, big tech to remove non consensual intimate images, right,

including AI generated deep fake sexual content. We have all of that going on right now, once properly reported, and that is why that website is so important, because they take the case over for you, the big tech. The platform has forty eight hours to remove that image or else they are held responsible monetarily different fines. The person

who put the image up can face jail time. I mean, this is something that has not been done before. And those who are sharing this and distributing this abusive material have to know there’s finally a piece of legislation you could potentially go to jail. So while everybody’s sharing these deep fakes now or revenge porn, we keep hearing about

our kids. We have fifty five percent of kids. A new study came out the other day that say we are being saturated with these deep fakes.

Speaker 1 So, Lynnshaw, finally the Democrats and Republicans all agreed on protecting our kids.

Speaker 2 Know, John, it’s hard to believe, but they should be doing the beginning with everything. Everybody came together on this one. So this is we know what can be done though, right because right now we also have the Kids Online Safety Act that we’re trying to get over, you know, this hurdle. We know they can work together, and John,

what better you know? Topic with everything going on then kids and families. Everybody can get on board with protecting kids. And now with all the AI, we must put some laws. I mean they’re urgently needed into place. Look, we are pro technology, pro innovation. I think you are. We are, everybody pretty much is. But the truth is that technology

is moving so much faster than law than any of us. And you know what we seem, well, I say, all.

Speaker 1 The all the bulti billionaires and almost trillionaires are all as technology people. So I mean don’t they want to protect our kids?

Speaker 2 Frankly, no. Do you want an honest answer? No?

Speaker 1 Yeah, I always want an understance.

Speaker 2 That is the honest answer. No, because there is no.

Speaker 1 So give us one example, so if we can, if we can accomplish one thing on this phone, the rest of this phone called the rest of this to our listenership, give us one example so they all know about it.

Speaker 2 I want everybody to have this website handy, keep it on your phone, keep it, you know, on the with the magnet on the refrigerator. You never know when you might need it. It’s called take it down dot FTC, dot gov. And what it does if you’re child or yourself, even there’s a nude image or again something AI generated,

we don’t even know what’s real anymore. John, pretty much, unless we get things online, you can pursue. You can pursue action against these companies, the company itself, whether it’s X, whether it’s Meta, whether it’s Google, because if they fail to comply with removing these images that are not yours, Okay, this is about victim protections, then they take care of

everything for you instead of usually a big tech playbook is oh you know, it’s on the parents. It’s on people to take care of protection. Finally, we have something where big tech will be held accountable by the government.

And what you have to do though is understand the steps John. You know, screenshot the image, you know, document like the date, report directly to this website, take it down, dot FTC, dot up, file your complaints. Contact also your local law enforcement. Always we always need to change, you know, a record of everything, and you know, use organizations specializing

in online Okay.

Speaker 1 So if it’s bad stuff in front of your children, a pawn or anything that’s you know, uh, well, we got to protect our kids. Go to that website. Tell us that website again because we are out of time.

Speaker 2 Everybody needs to know it. Take it down, dot FTC, dot up. And it’s especially for you know, non consensual images and there’s so much sexual content with our kids in it. And if you didn’t put that picture up, if you know, will be held the platform will be held responsible.

Speaker 1 Lin Shaw, thank you for everything you do. Thank you for saving a lot of our kids. And God bless you and God bless America.

Speaker 2 Thanks John, you are a warrior. Thanks a lot. Thank you
