Speaker 1 What is today is Michael Whitley, and he is the chairman of the Republican National Committee, so he’s in charge of everything, and we’d like to get an update of what’s going on in the Republican Party, what’s going on in the country. Michael, we know each other while tell us an update on the congressional races, senatorial races, the

well the race for president, and give us your aspects of what the American people should know about what’s going on.

Speaker 2 Well, I think that we have to start with what happened in New York this week. I mean, there’s just no way for us to have a political conversation anywhere in the country, but particularly New York with what happened.

And I think that you know, we saw two things, right. We saw the end of a weaponized judicial assault on the president which resulted in the convictions, and you know, the reverberations off of that. I think the fact that we saw snappoles that said that the approval for President Trump went up six points after the verdict was returned,

that’s important. I think the fact that he raised thirty five million dollars hours thousand individual donors the verdict was returned absolutely stunning, right, And so look, the American people, they know that this was a sham. The American people know that the Democrats, Joe Biden led Democrats, have weaponized the judiciary to go after Donald Trump. And it’s not

just New York. I mean, we’re talking about cases all across the country, and we’re talking about civil cases and criminal cases. And they’re not just going after him, they’re going after his allies. And all Americans understand this, which is why you know, we saw polling already that says that this verdict is not going to affect the election.

Where we saw you know, one poll by Maris that said sixty seven percent of voters say that this will have no impact in how they vote. Seventeen percent said they would be less likely to vote for Trump, and fifteen percent said they’d be more likely to vote for Trump.

So it really is a wash in terms of how people see this. And the reason for that is because they see this trial as a wish hunt. They see this trial as weaponized judiciary system going after Joe Biden’s political opponent. I think that that really is the table set for every other discussion that we’re having, you know,

right now, President Trump is leading in every single poll that we see. He’s leading in the national polls. He’s leading in battleground state poles in every single battleground state, actually tied now with Joe Biden in states like Minnesota and Virginia. In New Hampshire where Democrats have not lost for twenty thirty years. We are also leading on every

single issue on the economy, on the border and immigration, on national security and foreign affairs, he is leading Joe Biden on every single one of those issues. So we’re kind of seeing right now that the American public expected this type of a verdict, and they understand this type of a verdict and where it came from, and they

still are supporting Donald Trump. When it talk about the House races, the congressional races, obviously, New York is very important for what we’re trying to do. You know, we’ve got we’ve got four seats there that are seats that Republicans are holding that we’re Biden districts in a big way.

We need to win every single one of those. We need to win, frankly, all ten Republican seats in New York. We’ve got the same situation out in California, you know, New York or North Carolina, my home state. We’ve got a new set of maps thanks to a Republican Supreme Court, that are going to get four new Republicans into Congress

with it. So you know, we’re we’re looking at net out on Congress, and the determining factor whether we’re going to have a Republican speaker or a Democratic speaker is going to be whether President Trump wins this election or not.

And then in the Senate, we feel great about West Virginia, we feel great about Maryland. Then we’ve got really really good candidates running against entrenched opponents in states like Montana and Ohio and Pennsylvania. You know, so I think we flipped the Senate, But all of this is going to depend on the presidential race, which as of today, I

still feel like Donald Trump is in the driver’s seat.

Speaker 1 Well, when people ask am I better off today that I was four years ago under President Trump? Uh, Well, what I’ve been saying is that President Biden told the poor people were going to take care of you and take youre to middle class. Well, the poor people got poorer and the middle class got poorer. So I don’t

think very few people can say they’re better off today than they were four years ago.

Speaker 2 I think that’s right, and you think about it. Four years ago, we had a solid economy. Four years ago, we had a very strong position internationally and around the world, and four years ago we had a very secure border. Today, none of those are the case. And inflation is not just a statistic. I mean you’re talking about you know,

housing that’s that’s doubled. You’re talking about gasoline prices are up fifty five percent. You’re talking about the average household in New York and around the country is paying twenty percent more to live every month, but they’re not making twenty percent more in terms of their wages. So it is absolutely difficult under any circumstances for Joe Biden to

win this election, which is why, frankly, they went after him with a weaponized judiciary system.

Speaker 1 Interest rates double what they were and the thirty year mortgages over seven percent, So I mean, it’s hurting the real estate industry. Gasoline is double what it used to be, food prices are way up there. And the biggest problem, and I tell everybody, is the Suez Canal and the Red Seal closed down because the Commander in chief refuses

to use our air force or a navy to open it up.

Speaker 2 Could not agree more. You know, you think about it, this election is really going to come down to strength versus weakness. Donald Trump was a strong president. Joe Biden has been a week president. And the American people cannot take four more years of this Biden Democrat weakness. They won’t stand for it. And I really think that that’s

going to be the determining factor and why we’re going to re elect President Trump and have him be r. Forty seventh president.

Speaker 1 Well, mister chairman, thank you for the update, and we looked to you. You know, maybe you have once a month of every few weeks for continuous updates. Now, the biggest problem we have is all the newspapers on the front page saying Trump guilty, and when he’s found innocent, he’ll be on page thirty nine in the small print.

Speaker 2 Well, the media has never been fair. We can’t expect them to be fair, and we’re very fortunate that we’ve got a candidate who can talk directly to the American people unlike any other candidate I’ve ever seen.

Speaker 1 I agree one hundred percent. Now, thank you so much, have a great weekend. And we’ll catch up again real soon.

Speaker 2 Excellent, Thank you John,
