Sunday morning, Memorial Day weekend. Well guess what I mean. I can’t believe the summer is here already and with us today is a good friend, Angela Vivilo, and he is with the Columbus Heritage for a Foundation. And Angelo, you know, we know Eachela for a long time. I’m worried about the city. I think you’re worried about the city.
What do we do to make sure the city survives and the state survives?
Well, John, first, thank you for allowing me to be here with you. I mean number one, If people had what you always talk about common sense, we wouldn’t be in this situation today with the kind of government that we’re facing, especially here in New York City. Look, we both love New York City. We both will hope it thrives.
But under the present leadership, I have my doubts we’re chasing people out of the city, important people, people who who can support the city.
And that’s really unfortunate.
So you know that’s something that the only way we can change that is by voting next time around the right way, and hopefully people will wake.
Up and and and.
They will realize that there needs to be change and they need to use common sense.
Well, I don’t understand. I think there was the perfect the perfect storm. Uh. And you know, Andrew Cuomo was running, and Curtis Leewa was running, and Eric Adams is running and Zohimmandami, and.
I guess it was a perfect storm. Absolutely, you were absolutely correct. And unfortunately I was happy to support Andrew Cuomo. I thought he would have been an excellent mayor. And unfortunately I think we took it for granted that Zoramandami had a shot. To be honest with you, quite frankly, I thought, who is this.
Guy, you know? And his views?
His socialist views are just not what the city needs, the state needs, or this country.
So God willing things will change.
People will realize, especially a lot of the things that his promise can not ever come to fruition.
So look, I hope.
Now you talk to a lot of people. Yes, when you talk to him, what are they saying to you?
Well, even his foremost, even his supporters, are telling me about their disappointment.
So you know, we’ll see you.
Know, John, I know in your heart you really have this city, as do I, and we hope for a successful mayor. But unfortunately under this leadership, I just don’t see it. You know, talking about leadership. Next week, I know you’re under twenty sixth you’re having my dear friend Tom Denopoly at the PO luncheon. Unfortunately I’m fortunately I’m.
Going to miss it.
But I just want to say, there’s a guy who has integrity, honesty, has no agenda except to the best and the right thing for New York State. So I’m hoping that the people support him. He’s a common sense guy.
I know Tom DiNapoli for thirty years, maybe even longer, and he’s always been a common sense guy. And he’s going to give us the state of the state in let us know where we are. I mean, the stock market is at fifty thousand, and let’s see where we’re going.
I mean, I feel good about the market’s being high. Now. The interest rates have to come down, and we have to end the war absolutely.
And you know, as.
Americans, as the citizens of the greatest country in the world, in my view, we have to support what’s going, what the president’s doing because of the.
Future of the future of the world, let alone the future of the country.
Angelo Vivolo and the Columbus Heritage Coalition, thank you for everything you do and putting all our friends together to row the boat in the same direction all the time. God bless you, God bless America. And I hope you’re going to Italy because I missed the Italian.
For that’s where I’m going next week.
But God bless you John for all that you do, and and my dear friend Margo, God bless to thank you.
