Sunday morning, Memorial Day, Let’s go to New Jersey and what us today is Christine Handlin And she’s the GOP chairwoman of New Jersey. And Christine, You’ve been working very hard in New Jersey. And I still scratching my head.
I got a big bald spot. I still don’t understand how jackson a rally lost it lost it by fourteen points. Do you have an election integrity down to a science?
Well, that is something that we’re working on right now.
And I’m not sure if a lot of people know this, but the Republican Republican National Committee has been focused on election integrity for the past several of the years. They just launched and you know, made public a big effort that they’re doing going into the midterm elections. We have people on the ground here in New Jersey from the
Republican National Committee, but we decided to launch our own Election Integrity Task Force to work hand in hand with our partners at the Republican National Committee, and we just launched it last week. And you know, we’re working hard to make sure that we have you know, clean voter rolls and you know that people have confidence in the system.
Well, I mean, the American people have to have confidence that that when they vote, that they vote counts, and that when they vote it’s the American citizens that are voting and not people that are not supposed to be voting.
I mean, how many know? How well?
Where the heck are we?
What do you think? I mean?
You know what’s interesting And one of the reasons why you know, we started thinking about this was, you know, just recently, we had an indictment announced by the US Attorney’s Office, you know, prosecuting for non citizens who were voting in federal elections in New Jersey.
Uh.
And then also we just had our Attorney General’s office announced the guilty plea of a mayoral candidate in New Jersey who tried to submit one thousand fraudulent voter registration forms in an effort to swing an election. So, you know, it’s just important that we look at these things and we try to ensure that things are being done the
right way. And I’m an election official, so it’s really important to me to make sure that the elections have integrity.
I have to tell you something. Last week or the week before, I had and he’s originally from Brooklyn, we had Senator Norm Coleman, our host Sid Rosenberg. That’s his first cousin, and he was the US Senator in Minnesota.
And when he ran the last election he ran, he won. Nine months later they found some votes someplace and he lost by three hundred votes. I mean, I just I can’t believe it. Nine months later. You know, it is Minnesota.
It is Minnesota. So I mean, at what point do we straighten out all this nonsense?
Yeah, well, I think one of the reasons also in New Jersey, you know, we just want to look at how the process is working and can we make improvements to the process. So one of the things that.
Has been concerning to voters and some election officials and some of our legislators, is that each year in New Jersey for the past you know, several years, there’s a new election law, there’s a new thing passed by the Democrats in Trenton and the governor that you know, tend to erode the process a little bit in terms of
the checks and balances. So you have to really look at.
Those things and say, hey, is this is this.
Where we want to be. Should we reform this particular policy or a law so that, you know, we can tighten up the system a little bit.
One American, one vote, That’s what it comes down to. And I can’t believe it finally came out. Why the all the Democrats wanted more migrants coming in because migrants accounted in the census. I never realized that.
And if they.
Bring in a million migrants and put them in New York on New Jersey, they get they get more congression, more congressional seats, which is which is nonsense. What does migrants have to do with American citizens?
Well, this is one of the reasons why during the last Trump administration there was an effort to try to make sure that non citizens or illegal immigrants were not counted in the census, but I believe that a judge said that we had to count even non citizens. So it really makes a difference in terms of congressional redistricting.
So it’s a really big deal.
Well, Christine Handling, a GOP chairperson of New Jersey, let’s let’s work hard and get a better a better working out of who votes and who doesn’t vote. And thank you for coming on this Sunday morning, happy Memorial Day weekend, and.
We’ll catch up again to take care.
And God Bless America.
God Bless America.
