Speaker 1 Sunday morning. Well, we started a conversation in New Jersey state chairperson for the GOP, Christine Hamlin, on Thursday and it’s been bothering me for a few days. So we got Christine Hamlin backed on the ten million dollars that the federal government gave New Jersey. But New Jersey still wants to charge one hundred and fifty dollars for to

go to the soccer games on the trains in July. Well, Christine Handling tell us we had a few days to think about it. How can we straighten this thing out?

Speaker 2 Well, I think good leadership is needed, you know, and unfortunately the Democrats has been in control of New Jersey for a long time. This has been going on for several years. And like the question is why is this all of a sudden the problem? You know, the federal government gave New Jersey over ten million dollars to deal

with costs for the World Cup, you know, and all of a sudden, our governor are saying no, you know, we’re not paying for transportation costs. FIFA is very upset and they’re going back and forth fighting over the transportation.

And you know, this all should have been resolved. This is a major major event for New York, New Jersey or residents, for tourism, for the economy, and it really needs to be straightened out.

Speaker 1 I mean, between New York and New Jersey, soccer has become a big item lately.

Speaker 2 It is huge, and you know what people are coming from all over the world to. And it’s not like it’s a surprise, you know, if New Jersey should have been planning for this for a long time, and it’s not like it’s happening all of a sudden. You know, this is years in the making, and it really doesn’t

make New Jersey look too good when we’ve you know, we’re trying to figure this out on the fly. So it is a major problem in New Jersey and hopefully it gets resolved pretty quickly.

Speaker 1 So we’re keeping an eye on it, understood, So are they at least sitting down and talking.

Speaker 2 I believe so, you know, I’m not in on those meetings, but you know, we’re hoping that the commuters are not going to be left with this big this big cost. It was proposed one hundred and fifty dollars per ride, and I believe that all of the parking, you know, at the stadium. You know, no one’s allowed to drive there,

so it’s how are people going to get there?

Speaker 1 Well, and they want to charge an observerance fee for parking.

Speaker 2 Besides, yes, yes, so this is not good for New Jersey. You know, I understand things cost money, but we’re was the planning getting ready for this. This is not like all of a sudden situation.

Speaker 1 Yeah, understood. Anything else you want to tell Sunday morning? You guys haven’t figured it out yet. Maybe we’ll talk next week. Anything else you want to are you?

Speaker 2 No, I’m so so glad to talk to you. You know, we’re just working hard here in New Jersey. The Republican Party is keeping an eye on things, and you know we’re working hard to going into the midterms.

Speaker 1 Thank you so much for calling in this Sunday morning, and we’ll catch up again real soon.

Speaker 2 Thank you so much. Great b
