Speaker 1 With us today this Sunday morning, is Nicole Marior attackers and so many things are happening in our city, state of country, and Staten Island where she lives. Nicole Mayor attackers. Where do you want to start today?

Speaker 2 Well, look, John, obviously we’re having a battle here in New York City to stop all these shelters that keep popping up in our communities. The mayor and the governor have zero regard for the community, for taxpayers that have to put the bill for this. They’re opening shelters in assisted living facilities, in a schools, and they want to

go to parks, They want to do all sorts of things and take away these open spaces from our community. So we’re fighting this, as you know, to nailed all the local Republican elected officials on Staten Island files of lawsuits.

And in Friday morning they announced that we received the temporary restraining order to halt any migrants moving into Saint John’s Villa. So that vacate order is critically important to give us some further time in this fight. That’s a good first step victory locally, but the reality is we need President Biden to undo his executive orders we need

Senator Schumer and Senator Deilibran the Senate to pass the bill that the House pass in May that would reinstate the policies of the previous administration and make sure we have a secure border, make sure that we give CVP the tools that you need and allow them to actually do their job.

Speaker 1 I understand from a VISs I understand from Borough President Vito for Sela that there’s a little girls are going to school across the street from that migrant sector. I mean, that is a little bit going a little bit too far, aren’t they.

Speaker 2 Well, what’s ludicrous is that there isn’t proper vetting. We don’t know if these people are criminal, have criminal record. I mean, some, I’m sure are good people like my parents who came to this country for a better life, like you came as an immigrant as well. But the problem is no one ever paid for immigrants housing. They

never took a resources from citizens to provide all these services. If you look at what Governor Hockel just did in a letter the other day, which I’m furious about, I mean, she actually wants to give Section eight housing to people who just waltzed into our country. When you have citizens domestic violence victims. You have veterans who have been waiting

years for Section eight housing. She wants to give them free Metro cards, and she wants the federal government to pay for it at a time when she’s hammering our citizens over the head wanting to raise fares and tolls and jam through congestion pricing. I mean, it’s outrageous how much they are bending over backwards to give people who

never worked in this country or contributed or pay taxes. It is so insulting to citizens, tax paying citizens and legal immigrants. People who followed the rules and did everything right and waited online ask for nothing. They asked for nothing and they got nothing. They just got an opportunity.

Speaker 1 Well, I mean I scratched my head. I’m getting a bull spot already. Tell me, what else would you like to talk to all New Yorkers, all Americans about this Sunday morning.

Speaker 2 Well, and I think one important thing for people to know is we also have another lawsuit. Okay, beat off the sala and I and the other local officials are also suing to stop Mayor the Adams administration from implementing Build de Blasio’s law that would allow non citizens to vote. Now, think about this. They are pushing for work authorizations, the

magrants that are currently in New York City, and that law says after thirty days residing in New York City, if you get work authorization, you would be able to vote, to vote, to register to vote in municipal elections. So that’s an important thing that people also need to be aware of. And it’s unfortunate that we’re being forced to

sue on so many fronts. I mean, we have about four or five outstanding lawsuits right now on various issues. But unfortunately we don’t have partners in government that are listening to the concerns of the community. So we have no other choice but to take the legal action to try to stop. And one last thing, because I represent

Fort Wadsworth and I know there’s a lot of protests outside of Floyd Bennett Field, I’ve introduced legislation to prohibit any federal lands from being used for homeless encampments and that would put an end to this. And again we’re going to try to see what we can do use our leverage through the Appropriate Asient’s process in the House,

which is coming up in September to get this through, but to also demand put on lining the stand that we’re not going to fund Homeland security CBP efforts until we were I should say, we’re not going to give any extra money for President Biden to continue this open border crisis. We want to make sure that we have

Homeland Security and CBP agents getting the money to actually do their job, not what President Biden is doing with this open, open border.

Speaker 1 Process understood now Washington. Is there any hope that Washington will come to his senses and control the borders better?

Speaker 2 Look, there is. We need people to really get on the phones and demand from Senator Jillibrand and Senator Shure that they do their job, because, as I said, we passed this bill, they won’t do it. So we’re going to try to use this upcoming appropriation spending you know, the budget, the upcoming budget, to be able to put

in some parameters in there because they want us to fund the government. Well, you know, we want to fund our government only if our government is doing what it’s supposed to be doing, and national security is a top among it. So we need to see some policy changes at the border, and that’s what we’re going to be

pushing for when we return to Washington for session in September twelfth.

Speaker 1 Understood anything else you want to tell the American people.

Speaker 2 Look, John, I appreciate you always letting us get on your ways and tell the truth to the people. They need to know what’s going on. We also, as you know, Vito and I are planning a lawsuit on congestion pricing.

I think we’ve got a good angle for that as well. And we’re also fortunately suing to stop the redistricting of our progressional lines. Look, they want to do what they want to do. They don’t want anyone holding them accountable, and so New York Democrats are suing again to try to get our lines redrawn after they were drawn by

an independent special master that was appointed by the court. I mean, this is how crazy they are going for power that they can’t even respect a court decision from last year or the fact that the lines were drawn independent.

So that battle continues as well, because they try to eliminate the Republicans from New York State. But we are here, we are fighting. We’re going to continue to look for every legislative and legal aspect to stop them what they’re doing.

But the most important thing people can do is get out and stop voting for these people that implement these policies. And it starts with Joe Biden next year. But you know, unfortunately, you know, if we had Les Alden as governor right now, this wouldn’t have happened. If we had Curtis Sliwa or you or me, all three of us ran for mayor,

we had one of us, this wouldn’t be happening. So the reality is election do matter, and we need people in New York to recognize that.

Speaker 1 Nicole Mario attackers, thank you for coming on, have a great, great rest of the weekend, and we’ll catch up with you again.

Speaker 2 So all right, great to be with you, John, Thank you,
