Speaker 1 What is today is the Senator Ted Cruz, one of the I’ve been told, one of the smartest US senators our country has, and he’s there to protect Texas in the United States. Well, good evening, senator, how.

Speaker 2 Are you today, Good evening, John, great to be with you.

Speaker 1 One of the largest problems our country has is the border. And you’re from Texas, and you’re right on the border, and things are getting worse instead of getting better. The federal government has sued Texas for what they’re trying to do to protect their own constituents. But the governor has the responsibility of protecting the Texas constituents. How is this

going to sort itself out?

Speaker 2 Well, I think the only way it’s going to sort itself out is to get a new president who will actually enforce the law. The scope of the christ at the border. It really does defy words until you see it firsthand. As bad as you think it is, I promise you it is worse. I spend a lot of

time down at the southern border. Every time I’m down there, I go out on midnight patrol with the border patrol agents to see firsthand. I bring a lot of senators down to the border so they can see firsthand what is happening. We have had nine point six million illegal immigrants cross into this country under Joe Biden. It is

over ten thousand people a day are crossing the border illegally. It is the highest rate in the history of the country. And the thing to understand this is man made. It is caused by Joe Biden and the Democrats. They want this invasion and they’re perfectly happy to look the other way at the people who are dying. Last year, eight

hundred and fifty three migrants died crossing illegally into this country. That’s almost three a day. Last year, thousands and thousands of children were physically assaulted in sectional assaulted. Thousands of thousands of women were sexually assaulted. Over one hundred thousand Americans died of drug overdoses, seventy percent of which was Chinese fentanyl flooding across our southern border. And all of

this is because of deliberate decisions by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and the Democrats.

Speaker 1 I mean, the President of the United States is supposed to secure our borders. Has he violated his oath?

Speaker 2 Absolutely? And I got to tell you, John it is qualitatively different than we’ve ever seen in the history of the country. In fact, Joe Biden has made me do something I never thought I would do, which is miss Barack Obama and look, Barack Obama. I disagreed with Obama on a lot of policies, but on immigration, by in law,

Jobama followed the law. What Joe Biden has done that no president of either party has ever done is he utterly ignores the law. And so why do we have this crisis? It’s very simple. The reason is because when someone is apprehended illegally by the way, you know, the border patrol doesn’t go hunt and look for them. The

illegal aliens go and find the border patrol and they turn themselves in. When I go out on midnight patrol, I have groups of illegal aliens turning themselves into me. And the reason they turn themselves in is the Biden administration asks them, where do you want to go? And they all tell them a different city, and the Biden

administration puts them on a plane or a bus and sends them to those cities and look, you’re in New York City. The Democrat mayor there, Eric Adams, has said that it’s a crisis illegal immigration, that it is destroying New York City. Those are his words, that is, with one hundred and ten thousand illegal immigrants. Now, I agree

New York is paying a real price for the Biden open borders. But if one hundred and ten thousand is destroying New York City, what the hell do you think nine point six million is doing to the Texas and the rest of the southern border.

Speaker 1 What is the muss you can do? I mean, the governor of Texas has the right to protect your constituents. I mean, if I had a home one hundred miles from the border, I’d better buy extra guns.

Speaker 2 And you know what they all are. Look when you talk with farmers and ranchers. I was down last week in a ranch on South Texas. They’re all armed. I had a South Texas mom who told me she does not allow her kids to go out on their ranch without a loaded firearm at all times because it is

too dangerous for them to be on their own property. There is a lawlessness and John where we are now, nobody who sees what’s happening can defend it. Nobody in South Texas says this is a good thing. When they see the human suffering that Biden and the Democrats have caused.

And the thing to understand is this is deliberate. When Biden came into the White House, he inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in forty five years. We were having real success securing the border, and instantly, literally the very first month Joe Biden became president, the numbers skyrocketed.

And the reason is simple. That is because Biden began using catch and release. When they apprehend someone, they just let them go, and that is what causes this crisis.

Speaker 1 Senator, somebody is paying airfare for Africans to fly to Mexico and to walk into the United States.

Speaker 2 Who is doing this, Well, we don’t know entirely. What we do know is that the cartels are making billions of dollars from human trafficking. The going rate typically is between three thousand and twelve thousand dollars that you have to pay a cartel to come in. And by the way, nobody comes into the country without paying a cartel. If

you try to swim the Rio Grand on your own, the cartels will murder you. They have complete control of the southern side of our border. What it is done economically to the cartels. I’ll give you some statistics from the New York Times. In the year twenty eighteen, the Mexican drug cartel made roughly five hundred million dollars from

human trafficking. Last year, those same Mexican drug cartels made thirteen billion dollars from human trafficking. That is a two thousand, six hundred percent increase because they’re literally printing money. And by the way, the three to twelve thousand dollars to come in, that’s typically from Central or South America. If people are coming safe from China, it could be upwards

of fifty thousand dollars. And you know, many of the people who come they still owe money to the cartels. They owe thousands of dollars. So when they get sent to New York City, when they get sent to Boston, when they get sent to every city in America, many of them are still working for the cartels to pay

off the money they owe. And you look at the crime in New York City today. There is someone being mugged in New York, there is a car being broken into that there are drugs being sold in New York in order to pay off the cartels. Because if the people coming in don’t pay off the car, car tells

the cartels will murder their families back home.

Speaker 1 Senator, I pray for our country and I want to thank you for everything you do to protect Texas and to protect our country. God bless you, and God bless America.

Speaker 2 Thank you so much, Thank you, my friend. God bless, God bless
