Speaker 1 Is Horn and Hard Art coming back to New York. Well, there’s a gentleman. His name is David Arena. He’s a Philadelphian and he wants to create one in Heart Art all over again. David Arena, David, why do you want to do One and Hard Art all over again?

Speaker 2 Thanks? John, great to be here. I found out about Horn and Hard Art probably it was about twenty seventeen or so. I had not heard of it before then, and when I kind of found out more about it, I really fell in love with the history of it and the story. I’m a really big history nerd, and

the opportunity to kind of combine my love of great iconic companies like this business and history and a company that really stood for some pretty amazing values I just got really excited about. And flash forward about five years.

Had the opportunity to come on as a majority owner and the CEO and try to reopen the Autumn at and it’s really been just a wonderful, wonderful opportunity for me to do.

Speaker 1 So you’re going to open it up. We’re in New York City in Manhattan.

Speaker 2 We’re focused on the pobbyist major markets that Horn and Hardart was in so Philadelphia in New York. I’m local here to Philadelphia, and this is where we’re roasting our coffee and where we’ve sort of set up our initial operations.

But we’re looking at both cities, and I think that, you know, if we open one in Philly first, New York is going to be very close behind. So we’re probably looking at both cities relatively quickly, you know, to do both.

Speaker 1 I’m passionate towards hont in Hardt because my father worked as a busboy at Long Champs restaurant on forty second Street and Lexington have you, And I was a kid, like ten twelve years old, I used to go to the Horn and Hardart on forty second Street and wait for him to break for lunch and come to sit

with me.

Speaker 2 Oh wow, dude, said, that’s by yourself.

Speaker 1 That’s sixty years ago with my mom so nice and so Horn and Hard. I always had a passion for that company. When do you expect to open the first one?

Speaker 2 I’m hoping in about a year, So if within this next year we can get open, probably early to mid twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 Understood. Well, if you need any help in New York, please look upon US, and like I said, I have a passion for it.

Speaker 2 Well, thank you so much. Yeah, it’s been a really great journey. And about a year ago we launched online, so that e commerce is up and running. And now with this next stage, I think we’re we’re going to be really ready for retail. So I’m excited for.

Speaker 1 It, look forward to it, and God bless you and God bless America.

Speaker 2 Thank you so much, Thank you, John
