Speaker 1 What is today is Mario Economo. He’s been acting as a correspondent in Europe. He’s a former banker, a central banker from what London, Zurich and New York and Mario Economo. A lot of stuff is going on in Europe. Where do you want to start?

Speaker 2 Yes, good morning, mister Katsimithidi. So let’s start with a decision which was recently reached by one of the European courts regarding the European Commission President, and that was specifically, if we recall with COVID, Europe actually went out and bought thirty plus billion dollars worth of vaccines and many people into Parliament in Europe were asking to see the

contracts and the agreements made. They were not given access to that. So they took the matter to court and the court agreed that there was a lack of transparency by the European Commission with respect to providing this information.

This is important for two reasons. The first reason is because I suspect lawyers will now try to see if they can somehow actually go after legally the pharmaceutical companies. And secondly, and more importantly, it comes at a time when the European Commission and the European Union are discussing assigning a specific person to be a European Commissioner on Defense,

the equivalent of the US Secretary of Defense, and his or her role will be to actually arm Europe. So they will need to go out and buy all sorts of weapons systems to be able to arm Europe. This, of course, if it’s not done in a transparent way, could result in very large expenditures and people raising their

eyebrows wondering where all the money is going. So I think that’s a very important case that actually was brought against the European Commission today or sorry, earlier this week. The European Commission President was actually re elected Miss vonder lyon and she’s now going to serve a further term in that role.

Speaker 1 Understood, now, there’s so much turmoil going on. Well, we’ve got to talk about the Ukraine and talk about the new government in England. What’s going on with the new government in England.

Speaker 2 Yes, So the new government in England under the current Prime Minister, he is going to take a very different position with respect to immigration, and he’s also announced he is essentially going to double down on support for Ukraine and their war with Russia. He has said that he is going to focus on building England’s defense to make

it actually a much larger force than it currently is. The problem is England is nowhere near the two percent NATAL threshold requirement and he hasn’t given a timeline, and many people are asking where is he going to get the money from. It’s interesting because a former UK Minister of Defense actually stated recently that if the UK were

to go into a Natal led war with Russia, UK ammunition supplies the stoks would be exhausted within seven days, and for Germany for that matter, ammunition stocks would be exhausted in two days. This is very important because if something worked to happen, this comes right back to what I’ve said many times on your program over and over.

Europe is not prepared for any type of an altercation whatsoever, so that by default means it’s going to drag the US into it.

Speaker 1 And in Ukraine, I thought that the defense minister made a comment that it’s time to make peace.

Speaker 2 Yes, so it was the Armed Forces head of the Ukraine, mister Sirski. He actually said that it’s now time to sit down and to speak to the Russians and to reach in agreement with them, because he conceded there is no way that Ukraine can actually win this war against the Russians. And I think it’s important to response that

this man is on the front lines. He’s seeing what’s going on. He sees the level of weapons and soldiers that the Ukraine has, he sees what the Russians are throwing at them, he sees how the Ukrainians are constantly withdrawing against the Russians that are steamrolling ahead. And he’s saying it’s time now to sit down and to discuss

with the Russians in order not to lose any more men, soldiers or people on the Ukrainian side. I would like to also follow up with one other thing which is very important Hungary. The prime minister there are mister Orbin.

Hungary currently has the rotating presidency of the European Union for the next six months. And when mister Orbin got the rotating presidency, what he did. The first thing he did was he flew to Ukraine to meet with mister Zelenski.

He subsequently flew to Russia and he met with President Putin. Subsequent to that, he flew to China and met with President she and he then went to the NATO Conference where he attended the NATO conferen and subsequent to that he flew down to Palm Beach and he met with former President Trump. The European Commission and the various parliamentarians

apparently were highly offended by mister Orbin taking these initiatives and by his meeting with President Trump, and he sent them a letter and he’s asked them that it’s time now to sit down and to figure out a lasting peace between both parties so that the situation doesn’t snowball out of control in Europe. And the European Commission has

basically said that he is not authorized to take these types of initiatives. And the meeting that had been planned in September for the European Commission Commissioners to attend Hungary, which they always do when there was a rotating presidency, they have canceled. They have said that they will not attend, which is a shame because if the European Commissioners really

were interested in peace. The fact that Prime Minister Orban act he has a personal relationship with mister Trump, who may become the next president of the United States would actually create the perfect backdrop for a discussion revolving a lasting piece between Russia, Ukraine and MATH for Europe and the United States.

Speaker 1 Mario, we have thirty seconds left. Anything else you want to tell you American people on a Sunday morning.

Speaker 2 I would like to end well, like I always do. It’s important to end this war in the Ukraine. It’s a very scary situation. A lot of people are needlessly dying on all sides, and I would like to leave one last thought to all my friends in Europe who think that they can go and fight the Russians. The

national health care system of Europe is in no position to handle any type of war which would involve a mass casualty of soldiers returning home without limbs, arms, or worse, other types of impairments, including PTSD. So everybody needs to now sit down and needs to listen to mister Warr and see if we can actually negotiate a lasting piece

between Russia and NATO and the West.

Speaker 1 MARYA. Konoma, thank you for your update and we’ll catch you up.

Speaker 2 Again real sir, thank you. Enjoy your day.
