Speaker 1 Joining us this morning is Scott Walter. He’s president of the Capital Research Center, and Scott testified before Congress this week on foreign money being influencing our elections and some of it is being used to go through charities. Well, Scott Walter, tell us what the heck is going on?

We’ve been talking about it here at WABC for a long time. Can we get proof?

Speaker 2 Well, you know, this is the thing, right, some of these guys are really squirrely. You know, one of Roy Singham is one of the top ones, and he has been a maoist since he was a teenager. And despite the fact that he was able to make seven hundred and fifty million dollars off of a business that he

built and sold right, so obviously America did right by him, but he still hates America and maoists are not the most honest people. So uh. The The New York Times, however, did a lot of good reporting on his international network, and they say it’s hundreds of millions of dollars that he is poured through a vast network of groups, some

of which, of course are very happy to have riots, you know, incite riots in America, like the People’s Forum there in New York City, which is notorious.

Speaker 1 Understood, Now, uh, how do how does you know? We used to have the FBI, we have everybody? How could this happen to us? I mean, there’s the word I hear is a lot of these foreigners that are putting money through charities is also some of it is govern foreign government money that’s being siphoned through them and being

and they you use these people’s congress ready to do something, because if nobody goes to jail, nothing’s ever going to be cured.

Speaker 2 Well, this is the thing, right, you know, there need to be investigations and then if people are are in fact violating laws, they need to be held accountable. And in the case of that the Singham character, after he got his three quarters of a billion from the America’s fine capitalist system, he races to Shanghai, lives in Shanghai

and starts working, as best anybody can tell, with the military and intelligence apparatus of the Chinese communists. So, but it’s all possible in this What they’re doing in this country is only possible because our homegrown left has created an amazing nonprofit system where they can do all kinds of political things through nonprofits that are including charities which

of course are not supposed to be changing our politics.

Speaker 1 Understood. Now, not only are you doing that, is they move it from charity to charity to charity. So he gets lost in the action.

Speaker 2 Well, this is the thing, right you. The money, the money flows do go from group to group to group and making it, you know, nearly impossible to trace. Uh. It’s you know, it’s it’s gonna take serious law enforcement and maybe intelligence service work to uh to figure out exactly what’s going on. But there’s a whole lot of

smoke and it’s very hard to believe there’s not fire. Uh if the full investigative powers are brought to bear.

Speaker 1 Understood, what else did you tell Congress? And what do you think the solutions are?

Speaker 2 Well, there’s another, you know, the number two guy.

Speaker 1 I would say, Uh, who’s who’s.

Speaker 2 A foreigner and bad in this is? Uh a guy named Hans Yurg b P. And he is a Swiss billionaire and he he has given hundreds of millions of dollars to another vast network of nonprofits that’s been run by something called Arabella Advisors, And they have charities and political nonprofits and the money slashes back and forth, and

so I said that that’s another big problem. And here’s the hilarious thing the Democrats witness at the hearing, right, the person the Democrats invited to testify alongside the rest of us had to admit that he at his entity public citizen, that they had received money from this very same Hans jurig Vis. And they tried to pretend that

it’s American money because it came from a foundation that vasts, you know, incorporated in America. But of course nobody else is given to that petition except this the Swiss billionaire.

Speaker 1 Let me ask you, what’s in it for him? Does he get a return on his investment someplace? Have they favored him with with business? What do you think is in it for him?

Speaker 2 Well, his sister wrote this gushing biography of him, and in that biography what she said is that he wants to fundamentally transform America, you know, like an Obama or Biden’s people or on and on or you know George Soros.

I mean, some billionaires, uh, you know, have this crazy idea that they need to change America in these big, profound ways so that we’re not so terrible the way we are now. And of course they say this even though they’re doing extremely well in our system.

Speaker 1 Well, let me tell you, Scott, it’s it’s crazy, and I hope the problem is, Uh, there’s a lot of money being spent that if we if the Republicans lose Congress, then the investigations go away and we’re back to where we started from in deep doodo.

Speaker 2 Well, why do you think that?

Speaker 1 Well, Scott, please, you know, you’re always welcome to come on w ABC, you know, and please keep us informed of what’s going on in Congress. And thank you for keeping for letting the American people know. My pleasure
