Great winner of the Gracie Awards, Cindy Adams. And Cindy, you were great at those awards. How do you feel about it? Well?

Good and I met her.
We were together at the Gracie Awards. Cipriani’s had a thousand people in there looking at her and watching her and adoring her. And Cindy, how did you feel about it? Well?
Actually I thought it was pretty good because I don’t want anybody to be annoyed with me. But it tended to be a little bit dry and boring with all the people who got up there. They deserved their awards, but they weren’t interesting, and people weren’t listening to them.
They were on their phones. So when I got up, I decided to pee on everybody except of course myself, and I said, how wonderful you are, how wonderful Margo is, how wonderful the lousy president of your company is and I decided to be funny and they loved it, and I genuinely enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it. I got
a wonderful kick out of it.
You were terrific.
And we have the audio of your speech and we’re going to put it on a WABC website so everybody could listen to it. Go to Cindy Adams and her speech from the Gracia Wards is on the website.
And what did anybody say to you afterwards? After I left? I left early because I was doing someplace. What did they say about it?
Was I they loved you, and you could hear a pin drop while you were talking. There was nobody talking when you were talking. And that’s that’s when you know that.
You are great.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. What I also said was I love you. How did you get your How did you decide to get a radio station in the first place? You own half of everything else. How did you do this?
I bought it by accident. It was a good deal. You know anything that’s a good deal. I write a check for And now I understand w ABC. I’ve been told that is a number one AM station in the country.
In the country, country, not just the York.
How did that happen? Tell me how you suddenly become important.
Again because of guests like you?
Besides that, I understand that, But how did it happen? When nobody was it was? It was quiet, radio was quiet, everybody was onto television. Now it’s back because of the telephones. Is that it?
It’s because we used to have a transis radio that was only three transistors. People’s iPhones have fifteen billion transistors. And we’re now in one hundred and seventy three countries and fifty states.
You mean this station is in so many countries? In English?
Last month we only hit one hundred and twenty nine of the one hundred and seventy three.
My god, that’s terrific. Do you think because I’m in one hundred and seventy two countries I can get a raised absolutely?
Besides that, I’ll buy your dinner. What are you going to be talking about at two o’clock? Your show goes on two o’clock on Sundays. What are you gonna be talking about?
Well, I’m gonna be talking about a lot of things. First of all, I’m gonna be talking about some stories. I want to tell a story about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. I want to tell a story about the governor who I had dinner with the other day and she decided she was going to have this great pricing
congestion pricing. I wanted to tell a story about all of these people that nobody knows their private stories, and I’m going to tell them. You know, I may even tell the story. You and I know each other a lifetime, at least meet at.
