Automated transcript · uncorrectedWhat is today is our correspondents from Europe, Mario Economo. And Mario has been with money center banks in New York, Switzerland and cut, cut cut.
What do we used to say, New York, Zurich in London. Oh? Okay, ready, he’s a former banker from New York, Zurich in London.
Gotcha three two one Sunday morning with us. Is Mario Economo, a former banker from New York, Zurich and London, and he’s our go to guy in Europe to find out what the heck is going on? Marioconomo. So many things are going on in the world. What do you hear in Europe?
So good morning, mister Katsuma TV. So a lot of things happening in the past week. I guess what we can do is we can start with some statements made by Germany and specifically that their goal is by twenty twenty seven to be in a position to have raised an army in Europe of roughly eight hundred thousand men
with piece two hundred thousand pieces of equipment in order to prepare for what they say will be a war with Russia, because Russia, they believe is going to invade Europe. That falls on that also falls on the back of what the European Commissioned President said, who said she believes that by twenty twenty seven as well, China will make
a move on Taiwan, and therefore Europe itself needs to be ready to intervene and to assist Taiwan on that front. These statements, of course, were made in advance of what was Russian Naval Day, and President Putin addressed those statements by basically saying that he believes that if the US puts intermediate range cruise missiles and nuclear weapons in Europe,
he will essentially surround Europe as well with these intermediate systems. The problem with these intermediate missiles is they only take roughly three minutes to hit pretty much a lot of Europe, so it’s a major escalation if they decide to go down that path. What’s interesting at the Russian Naval Day event, the countries that were present were of course China, India,
and Algeria. Now that’s interesting. Algeria there is there again. Remember Algeria is the country with four a state of the art Russian submarines which do have cruise missiles on them. The equivalent of a cruise missile, the Kaliber, the Russian Khaliber.
And my guess is what President Putin is doing is if in the event of a war does happen, he will close the Strait of Gibraltar. So you’re going to essentially have the Red Sea and the Suez Canal close.
You’ll have the Strait of Gibraltar closed. He’s going to hit all the choke points, including the Strait of Horror Moves, which is where all the Persian gulf oil comes through. So the situation is very interesting, it’s very vault it’s very dangerous, and it comes back to what we’ve said all along for the past two and a half years.
We really do need to sit down and speak to the Russians. We need to resolve the situation in Ukraine, and we need to have a lasting piece as far as Ukraine goes. We know that some of the first F sixteens were delivered to them, but the reality is only three of them can fly, not because the other
machines don’t work, but because they don’t have enough pilots that have been trained to fly these machines. They set by Christmas. By December of this year, there should be more pilots available to fly them. But the reality is what that’s going to do is it’s going to give the Russians an excellent lead time to figure out how
to actually hit those F sixteens, these three that are flying now, so that when more end up in the sky, the Russians will destroy them. Have no doubt that the Russians will destroy the F sixteens, and the F sixteens will have very little, if any impact on the outcome of this war.
Mario, let me ask you a question. The Ukrainian, a diplomat or minister or whatever he was, went to China, but China to intervene with Russia. What was that result.
Yeah, so he basically said he’s open to having China essentially broke or a peace agreement between Russia and the Ukraine. President Putin said he’s open to it as well. However, President Putin did say it’s only going to be on the basis of Russia keeping the land that it is so far occupied. It’s never going to return that. In fact,
we’ve discussed he’s named Nova Rossiya, he’s given her a name, so basically that land will not be returned. Mister Zelenski himself realizes that this is a very difficult road he’s on and the outcome, if we judge by all the battles that are being fought and the fact that the Ukrainians are losing just about every battle, is not a
good one for the Ukraine. So he needs to have some kind of peace agreement reached in order to salvage what he can of his existing country. Know that in Poland, a former general, a retired general, a retired Polish general who I believe, if I’m not mistaken, was in charge of NATO and Poland. He came out and actually said
that there is no way Ukraine will win this war. And in fact, he said that even if Ukraine were to join with Poland to fight the Russians, both would lose and Poland would lose decisively. He doesn’t believe that Poland has the weapons capability, and he further doesn’t believe that the US would actually come in and rescue Poland
in the event of an engagement with the Russians. That’s his view. He’s on the ground, and I believe you know, if he if he’s saying it, there must be some credibility to the things he’s saying.
Now, I heard a rumor, Mario that Germany is trying to get rid of some of the migrants to other countries in European community.
Yeah. So this has to do with something called the Dublin Agreement. And what they want to do is they want to be able to return migrants that in Germany break the laws, or that they’re are not in favor that the German authorities are not in favor of keeping there, to be able to return them to their first point
of entry into Europe, which in most cases is Greece. So there have been some planes which have actually left with migrants on board and they’ve actually essentially been deported from Germany and they’re now in Greece. What will the Greeks do with them? I’m not sure. On My understanding is that the Greeks do get money for every migrant
that’s returned. What is the longer term plan, I’m not sure there is.
So how much if you have to pay to take you a bunch of criminals and put him to Greece.
Yeah, those are agreements that Brussels has reached. An agreement that Germany signed with Greece, the finances of which I’m not particularly familiar with, but I understand there is there are payments involved with respect to returning these.
Mario, please investigate that more so, and maybe we’ll talk about it next week.
Yes, okay, very good. Maybe we can just skip over now to what’s going on in specifically in the Middle East with respect to Israel, the events that unfolded in Tehran and the assassination of the second in command of Hisbola and Lebanon. I’m not going to focus so much on what exactly is going to happen there. We can
do a segment on that if you’d like. You know, I was raised in that part of the world. But what I do want to focus on is the rhetoric that’s coming out of Turkilla and specifically mister Erdigon, who has threatened to actually invade Israel and to go to Lebanon’s aid. Now, that is a very interesting thing because
if President Hereddan and Turkia actually invade or move their troops to Lebanon to assist the Lebanese, those troops will never leave Lebanon. They will stay there, They’re not going to go anywhere. So clearly that needs to be prevented because all that will do is it’s going to put a huge army literally on Israel’s doorstep, and it’s a professional, trained,
strong army, and I’m not sure that Israel. That’s what Israel is seeking to see happen, and I know for sure the US doesn’t want to.
See that got out of Cyprus.
Well, that’s why I’m telling you they’re going to stay. If they move into Lebanon to assist the Lebanese government, they’re going to stay. And if they get the permission of the Lebanese government, then they can say that they have an invitation to actually come in and to assist.
It’s important to point out one more thing about the Turkia. They’ve sent a fleet of five ships off the coast of Somalia to actually drill for oil and gas. The deep sea drilling that they’re going to be doing there is deeper than anything the US, Norway or any other country has ever done in any part of the world.
So they clearly have the technology, they clearly have the desire. They’re clearly spreading their wings all around the globe, initially in conture within their rain, and.
It’s certainly never going to give it up. Thank you. Mario at a time, and Daniel we’ll talk to you again real soon. Mario Kanoma, thank you.
Enjoy your day.
