Speaker 1 With us today is former Congressman Peter King, a long long time resident, a lifetime resident of New York and Long Island, and good morning, Happy Labor Day weekend, Congressman. How are you.

Speaker 2 Today, john I’m doing great and it’s a great Labor Day weekend. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night on attaching tiesby. But right now it’s Sunday and we have a lot of issues to discuss.

Speaker 1 I think, yes, we do. I mean, uh, it’s Labor Day weekend. A lot of problems in the world. You live in Nassau County. Tell us what bothers you the most that they’re trying to change our way of life.

Speaker 2 Yeah, Johnny, you know all of us have been observing you in the last few months. What’s happening in scott Island and Queens. This is came by the Mayor Adams and the governor and again the lack of leadership from Joe Biden in Washington to how illegal migrants put into unities that we’ve seen it in Staten Island where Curtis

is leaving the tribes, and for President of Vido for Sella and Congresswoman to call Milia Tarkas. But We’re not immune from that challenge out here on an island. For instance, in Theresare you have the just on the other side of Italian line of the city line is the Treatmaw where they end up putting in an eight hundred person

hensso with illegal migrants, which is just steps away from Nasau County and communities like flad Park, like Success that has some new high park. All of them are very fearful of this coming in. Yet to have again eight hundred thousand men who basically don’t have jobs they can be wandering around, or in other areas where you have

migrants that do have kids entering into the school system. So I’m very pleased. Listen, all of a sudden, you have a certain sympathy for the migrants, but you have to have a policy that makes sense and right now.

And it’s very important that the brief pointsman the Nessra County executive has said, under no circumstances from Manstroll County to become a sanctuary county, and then any circumstances he will fight any attempt basically you know, putting up a legal wall to keep the mayor Adams or the governor from trying to put any of the migrants into Nanshall County.

He’s going to oppose it. He’s committed to that, he says over and over again. The Nansra County is not a danc cuarry county in Romantoy, but Wiland. We often tend to think together about NaNs and Stuffolk. So Suffolk County where we’ve seen that Mayor Adams wants to put migrants out into the Fresky Airport in the Hampton’s John

you are very familiar with that airport out there Westhampton. And then you have also there’s reports that they want to put them into the former Kings Park psychiatric facility. And ed Remain, who is the Republican candidate account executive and a longtime friend of mine’s, suddently the supervisor of the town of Brookhagen. But Edward Mayne has said that

he will not allow Stuffolk County to be a sanctuary county as he will fight, fight as hard as he can to keep these migrants from me pushed into Stuffolk County. This is you know, people try to say this is a humanitarian issue to help these migrants. The fact is no one is being hurt more than these migrants are.

They have been put into communities where they’re basically not wanting. There’s no facilities for them. And we see what’s happened in Manhattan. You walk breast the Roads hotel and there’s hundreds of people outside. The bikes are there. They are just coggregating walking around. They show something went upstate, there were sexual assaults, and it’s just a reality that had How.

Speaker 1 Do the people of Nassau County in Suffolk County, uh, whether they’re Democrats or whether the Republicans aren’t they all opposed to just getting invaded like that?

Speaker 2 Yeah? They You know. One of the things we’ve said about politics the last few years is how divided we are and how the political parties is are divided. But one thing which has brought Republicans and Democrats together in Narsa County and Suffolk County is this opposition to have hundreds of migrants forced onto them. This is a serious issue,

not just in a partisan political way, but in the best sense of politics, where the people speak out, the people stand together, and the people vote, and right now and into the foreseeable future, Nassau County and Suffolk County, Democrats and Republicans, Independence Conservatives. They’re going to be standing together in opposition to this attempt to foist these migrants

into into national suffolk. As we’ve seen what’s been happening in Staten Island. And I think John the people will hurt the most by this on the migrants. Also talk about the people who’ve been waiting online, the immigrants from Central America actually all over the world who are waiting on line. We’re doing it but by the right way,

doing the right way, and they and they’re being basically jumped over by these illegals who have come across the border. And when that Governor Hopel says, Mayor Adams says that we should give them all working papers put into work.

How about the people who want to get in the country legally to work. And to me, by saying that they’re going to get the working papers and get them for jobs, that’s going to be an incentive to bring more people across the border. And by the way, I don’t blame them. If I were living in some of

those countries and those conditions, I want to come across the border too. We can’t solve all the world’s problems we as it is. We take in and rightfully sew more legal immigrants than any other country in the world. John, you and I actually you are an immigrant. I’m a product of the immigrants, family and immigrants who you know.

They’re the light fline of the country. They put new water into the country. But it has to be done in a legal or also orderly way to the benefit of everyone. Not just the people with me now, but the people coming in as immigrants have been committed them to these comm now it’s unfair to them, it’s certainly

unfair to us. And I really commend Vito for Sella and Thomas from Malia Talkers for the job that they’re doing well.

Speaker 1 Vito’s taking a position. Vito’s taking a position for for Staten Island and UH Bruce Blakeman this position for Nassau County, Uh Peter, Uh Tom No. Steve Bloone is the current executive of of Suffolk County. I don’t know. I haven’t heard about his position.

Speaker 2 No, we haven’t heard much from Steve Steve Blogan, but I do know, and I haven’t heard much from the Democratic candidate for tiny executives because of the current county executive return with it. But Edward Mayne has made it absolutely clear that he is committed to not making Subject County a sanctuary talty.

Speaker 1 Well, I guys to say it louder so people can hear it, you know, Well.

Speaker 2 I guess he felt John if he was on w ABC. That’s his yet, but I agree, yes, to make it more more definitely makes it clear to everyone, because yeah, Eric Adams and you know you and I have been friendly with him and I wish him well in certain respects, but on this one of he is entirely wrong. He

was wrong to be inviting everyone into New York, going to the portotality bus argle, giving them cell phones, giving them gifts, putting them up in hotels the four star hotels is staying in and now he’s trying to foist them on other counties around the state. So he’s wrong on this. And Governor Honko has been really too quiet

for too long. But the ultimate responsibility is Joe Biden, who basically has created an open border policy.

Speaker 1 So after a Labor Day, we’re going to find out what the heck is going on, what’s going to happen to all these kids, these migrant kids that have not been checked for health going into our schools.

Speaker 2 John, I saw that happened back in twenty fourteen, twenty fifteen, when we had undocumented unaccompanied minors coming across the board at kids twelve, thirteen, fourteen years old, and then they were signed to schools in places like Central ISoP in Brentwood, which had a Central American community. And I showed her the Digito schools you had kids coming in. They were

overwhelming the schools You had maybe a thirteen year old kid where they first the secondary education and that speak the language at all. You didn’t know anything about their family history, didn’t know anything about the psychological history or medical background. And it created was a real burden on the school districts, which have a tough time anyway. So

again it was a lose lose composition. And I think, you know it’see even more of that when kids start coming into public schools in New York City. And I know it’s just James the Attorney General. She said, the schools have no right to keep these kids out. But where are they going to get the money for this?

Where are they going to get the teachers?

Speaker 1 I love his James, but I think I loved his James, but I think she’s wrong in this one. I mean, we don’t want to keep them out. At least they should get a health chat.

Speaker 2 No. Absolutely, listen, I’m sorry. I have to feel for these kids. I mean it’s terribly coming up here under these conditions. Anyway, then they’ve been put into a school where they’re almost definitely going to be behind in the school work. They’re not going to speak the language. Some of these schools will have to get translated with the kids.

And again, they do psychological histories, they can have medical histories, they can have issues in their family. None of these things are known. And to have that voist on you know local schools is it’s going to be a financial burden, the psychological burden, it’s going to improve the education of the other kids. And it’s again something that you know,

people say it’s well intentioned. Well, you know, those intentions can cause very bad results.

Speaker 1 Well, long to spen King, thank you very much, and God bless you have a great labor day weekend and you know, back to work next week and let’s hope, uh the world is better.

Speaker 2 John. Your problem is you’re always working, so take away to day off. You’re always working. Thank you
