Speaker 1 What is today is Attorney General Patrick Morrissey of West Virginia, and he has done a terrific judge job. He’s been elected since twenty twelve, and he’s made a decision he wants to run for governor, and well, Patrick Morrissey, tell us what the heck is going on in West Virginia.

Speaker 2 Hey, John, it’s great to be back on the show with you.

Speaker 3 I love coming on because I love talking to folks all across the country about everything happening. West Virginia is really at the center of a lot of the national political activity.

Speaker 2 Were out in front fighting the Biden administration, winning.

Speaker 3 A lot of huge cases to stop all the federal overreach. We’ve got a huge US Senate race, and part of the reason I’m here today, John, is to tell you I’m running for governor the great state of West Virginia.

Speaker 2 We have a chance to really.

Speaker 3 Soar as a state and show people that we can fight the federal government win, we can fight all the crazy leftists in And I’m glad to be here because this in New York. It’s ground zero of all the crazy things that are happening and what we’re doing out of West Virginia. Is going to help New York and

California and West Virginia and every state in the nation.

Speaker 1 What have you been your main problems in West Virginia. You’ve been a trained general for a while now, what is she the major problems?

Speaker 3 Well, there are two things right now that I’ve been focusing on. One, I’m trying to always protect my job based. So our state relies very heavily on their energy resources, and the Biden administration has been just going after our energy resources.

Speaker 2 So I fought and as.

Speaker 3 You know, we’ve led the way, leading that famous West Virginia vp A case. I fought the EPA for nine years and we won. That provided a lot of protection for some of our coal jobs, our oil and our gas jobs. The other really big issue has been the drug crisis in West Virginia. West Virginia is a border

state because we see the effects of undocumented aliens through the massive quantities of fentanyl that washing into our state. West Virgina is the highest drug overdose death rate from fentanyl in the nation, and that’s what we spend hours and hours every day working on. And as governor, I’m going to be in a position to do even more

about that. And exceptionally loud voice to finally list fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction because it’s slaughtering our citizens.

Speaker 1 Now, if you get elected governor next November, Yeah, what are your visions for West Virginia.

Speaker 3 Yeah, So, Number one, I want to make sure we’re putting as many people to work as possible. West Virginia is the lowest workforce participation rate in the nation. That’s got to change, and we have plans to be able to attack that and take some of the sixty five thousand open jobs and fill them. So anyone listening, don’t

try to bring the crazy ieology to West Virginia. But we have a lot of good jobs available in West Virginia.

Speaker 2 We need to fill them. That’s number one.

Speaker 3 Number two, we have to tremendously increase our educational attainment. We have a broad school choice law and good charter schools laws. When I’m governor, it’s going to be the broadest in the country. We’re going to give every kid an opportunity have the best possible education. So West Virginia is going to be out in front in terms of

the regulatory reform, broad tax reform, and then school choice that’s unmatched across the country.

Speaker 1 That’s so important, and we’re being attacked. Our country is being attacked from so many directions, and Patrick, they’re trying to change our way of life, and a lot of Americans like their way of life, the way.

Speaker 2 We grew up.

Speaker 3 You know, they are John And in fact, first, the size of our government, the federal leviathon continues to grow at.

Speaker 2 A crazy rate.

Speaker 3 And these guys have gotten into the school, you know, the far left, and they’re trying to change the hearts and minds of our kids and produce a lot of people like socialism, like totalitarianism. But when we grew up, we cared about freedom, we cared about the constitution, we cared about taking.

Speaker 2 Care of our families.

Speaker 3 And you don’t see that same dynamic with these idea logs on the other side.

Speaker 2 So I am standing up.

Speaker 3 When West Virginia gets to fire back and win and we punch a lot higher than our weight class, it makes a difference for the country. And as ag I get to leave my office for against the crazy ideas of the far left, but as governor will bring to bear twenty five different state agencies and all of the

Red States stepping up and fighting back and that’s why we’re getting so much support not only in West Virginia but nationally for our campaign. Now.

Speaker 1 The other day last week I spoke to the Attorney General of Missouri and he was very excited because he won a very big case in his vocabulary. He one that change people can’t change kids under the age of eighteen on his transgender thing. And I think some of those mom or dads or people are trying to change

kids that are five, six, seven, eight years old the transgender When these kids don’t know any better, I think they should go to sjail.

Speaker 3 I couldn’t agree more John. This is child abuse in the worst possible form. And in West Virginia, we don’t want people who are three or four or five years of age to have their sex change.

Speaker 2 That’s utterly ridiculous.

Speaker 3 I mean, look, once people get to eighteen or nineteen, but when they want to do what they’re going to do, the reality is we have to protect our kids. And you see that these radicals on the other side, they want to have gender surgery changes. They want to make sure that the locker rooms are filled with biological in

the women’s locker room, they want to allow you to self identify to go into the bathroom, you know, at a moment’s notice. And then, of course there’s the other issue which I’m fighting and leading on nationally, which is a lot of people in biological males to play women’s sports.

West Virginia’s been out in front of posing that because we think it’s absurd, it’s unfair. Everyone knows the differences between men and women, and as governor, I’m not going to ask anyone what those differences are. This is a threat to our country and we have to stop this complete and utter nonsense.

Speaker 1 I agree on Attorney General Patrick Morrissey, Thank you so much for stopping by.

Speaker 2 Thank you for.

Speaker 1 Telling the people of what you want to do. You did a great job as Attorney General, and I look forward to, you know, suppointing you in running for governor of the state of West Virginia.

Speaker 3 John, thanks so much for having me on. I love coming on your show. You’re getting a lot of important information out in New York and across the country, and if people want to learn more about me, they can go to Patrickmorrissey dot com two RS one as go in and learn more about how little Old West Virginia

is stirring the shake that’s going to help change America.

Speaker 1 Well, God bless you, God bless America. And let’s let’s keep America.

Speaker 2 The way we me. And you grew up and thank you so much. Thanks John. Great to be with you.
