Automated transcript · uncorrectedWhat is today is Congresswoman Beth Van Dine and deep in the heart of Texas, so many things are happening in Texas, So many things are happening in our country. Well, congress women, tell us what is your passion? I mean, you guys, are Texas is defending their borders and there’s so many things going on.
You tell us, oh, noah, no, you just watched the videos that came out yesterday about our state being innovated. You know, you’ve got people who are coming into this country to do us harm. You know, we’ve got over three hundred people who’ve come in already that have been identifying the terrorists watch list. Those are the ones that
we’ve caught. We have no idea how many have come in that we haven’t caught. We’ve seen thousands and thousands of pounds of that coming in over our borders, and you’ve seen over one hundred and ten thousand Americans who’ve been killed as a result of it. You know, you’ve got a governor and Governor Abbott who is declaring this
an invasion because that’s exactly what it is. We have seen unprecedented numbers coming in of our border and instead of the federal government working with the state to citizens. It’s suing them, it’s forcing them to take down their walls that are working. It is absolutely amazing to me that the Bido administration is now throwing its hands up
and saying, we have, you know, a crisis at the border, when you have had Republicans since day one when this administration came in, telling them that this is going to happen. If you take away the policies that were working in sitsies that remain in Mexico policy, if you add things like catch and release, which they’ve done, you are going
to see unprecedented numbers of people coming in our border. And that’s exactly what you’ve seen. And only because his polling numbers are tanking as a result, and the rest of the country is seeing the results of this. Only now are they willing to admit it’s a problem. But instead of working with the State of Texas and other
states around the country, they’re feeling this burden. They’re suing them and they’re fighting them.
Now have you noticed ever since there’s Supreme Court voted, don’t the appeals voted? Uh? Wait the heck? Are you right now? You? Or are you? Are you still defending the borders, or or you’re up in.
Their well that the Supreme Court voted that they’re going to allow the appeals court, the Appellate Court uh to figure this out, and they are now having on they are now having their case. So right now Texas is up in the air. You know, they are told by the course that they cannot actually protect their citizens. And
this is you know, if you look at this from a constitutional perspective, it is the federal government’s job to protect its citizens, it absolutely is. But when it fails to do that. So under Article four, Section for the Constitutions is in the United States should guarantee every state in this union or republican form of government, and shall
protect each of them against invasion. However, when the federal government fails to do that, the states actually do have a right to be able to protect themselves under Article one, Section ten that grants state’s sovereign power to repel an invasion and defend its citizens from overwhelming and imminent danger.
So I think once this goes through the courts, they will, But the fact is, look what’s happening today, how much harm, how many more women are going to be raped, how many more children are going to be sex trafficked in how many more innocent people like Lincoln Riley are going to be murdered as a result of the federal government
not only in action, but I say actions that have caused this crisis.
The other day, a couple hundred, one hundred at least attack the border and just when storming through, and another reporter has said to me that, well, what happens if there’s five.
Hundred, Well, what you’re saying was was their bipartisan plan to come out of the Senate, which has actually never got enough votes to get out of the Senate, wanted to allow over five thousand people a day on average in a week, up to eighty five hundred in a single day to come in, and they wanted to codify that. So, yeah,
you’re saying five hundred, but we’re not even seeing numbers like five hundred, which is what we saw in the Trump administration. We’re seeing more like five to ten thousand people coming in a day. So there’s no way that this cannot be seen as an invasion. When you’ve had over eleven million people in our country illegally that we
know of in the last three and a half years, and you’ve got other states, not just Texas now, but she’ve got you know, lake In Riley’s dad who is now encouraging the State of Georgia to claim an innovasion as well, because that’s what they’re seeing in the streets, that’s what they’re seeing happening in their cities, in their communities,
and it’s a tragedy that could have absolutely been avoided. And you know, we’ve got an opportunity now, you know, we’re going to be having a vote later this morning in Congress to look at the funding of some of these agencies that are not doing their job. We’ve got an opportunity right now to fight that. I plant on
voting it down because I don’t see enough resources and policy changes going into the agency. On Homeland Security specifically, we had Mark Morgan and Tom Holman who came up to the Hill earlier this week and we’re talking about the invasion that they’re seeing. They’re talking about their experience under the Trump administration and the policies that they had
in place that worked. But more specifically, Mark Morgan made a great quote. He said, you know, it’s not the resources, it’s not the additional money, it’s not the additional officers that they need at the border, the policy change that’s allowing them through that. He said, there is a flood going on into our country. We don’t need more buckets.
We need to stop the flow. And they have an opportunity to end the catcher Lace program, which they’re not. They have an opportunity to stop asilum seekers at the border, have them stay in the first safe country they get to while their process is newho goes through why their application goes through the process, But they’re not doing that. Instead,
they’re sending them on planes. They’re sending out the buses who are sitting near you.
That that is mind boggling that they’re sending them on airplanes because you can’t control your borders. If they control the FAA and allow them to come in and.
Land the rights that we don’t have as citizens, they are basically growing to illegals. And then it gets even worse. So you see what’s going on in New York and other places around the country with his squatters, where if you’ve got a home and you’re not in, you know, somebody can prove that they have just broken into your house,
trespased in your house for thirty days. They now have more rights than the owner. And you’re seeing, you know, these illegals who are now going online and advertising this. But that’s that is the next plan of attack. So not only not protecting property rights, you know, but we’re not We’re not protecting lines. And that’s the chaos that
you’re seeing unto the border under this this Biden administration. And you know, we’ve gotten to November that we’re going to be suffering from it. The state greates that it’s tous is fighting it in the corps. I don’t know how long it’s going to take for that, you know, to make the machinations to get a court ruling that
the state can actually defend itself. But citizens are up in arms and for good reason.
Well, congress Woman, thank you so much for giving us an update of what’s going on in the borders in Texas, and I hope we can catch up again real soon.
Sounds great. Thank you very much for shedding the light on this, and you have a great weekend. Thank you.
