Speaker 2 Council Sunday Morning. Well with us today on Fourth of July weekend is Steve Moore. Steve, there’s so many things happening. Happy fourth of July. I hope you’re spending time with your family. But all the things that are happening. President Trump last week said that Canada, Canada, he’s going to suspend some of those treaties. And I want to reaction

from you and how that’s going to affect.

Speaker 3 Well, first of all, that I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend, this two hundred and fiftieth anniversary the greatest country on Earth, and I really do believe as you do, that God smiles on this country.

That as Reagan said, that it is a divine providence that America foot was put here as a speacon of freedom for the rest of the world. And that’s what I celebrated this weekend. So you asked me about the situation this staff between Canada and the United States, and Trump has announced he’s going to I don’t know the

exact language they use. I think he’s temporarily suspending the US Canada Mexico trade agreement. He’s angry at Canada because Canada has not been playing by the rules. But I do I’ve always believed John that US, Canada and Mexico should be a free trade zone, so that the North American continent when it comes to technology, when it comes

to manufacturing, when it comes to energy, and aready you know so much about we want to be the number one producer in the world. But Canada has been misbehaving and Trump, I think Trump is is getting very tough with Canada because they have not been cooperating. They’re not playing by the rules.

Speaker 2 Knowing Trump the way I know, I mean, if they all sit down at the same table, I think they’ll make a good deal for both countries.

Speaker 3 Well, great, he’s a deal maker, isn’t He’s the best deal maker I’ve ever seen in my life. And I hope that’s that’s the case, because I don’t want USMCA to go away. I want, you know, I want to make sure that Canada has a partner with iller stations.

And by the way, one of the most important things for our countries going forward is that in terms of our foreign policies, make sure that Mexico does not go, you know, to the looney left like New York City seems to be with all these socialists over there. So we want to make sure that Mexico is stable and

that we don’t have you know, millions of Mexicans coming over the border. So I would like to see trade between our three nations.

Speaker 2 So who wants to make an interesting the way I ready his thoughts that he wants to make two different trade deals, one from Mexico and one Canada. Is that the way you reade?

Speaker 3 I believe. So, I mean, you never know what Trump, but I think he he wants to make sure that you know, Canada. You know, Canada, we has a big trade surplus with the United States, and Canada’s economy is not doing well. Did you know that, John, They’re not doing well. We’re doing much better than they are because

they screwed up, you know, their trade relationship with with Trump Canada. Trump is not popular with in Canada. He should be because he’s shown the way about how you create prosperity with respect to Mexico. Look, I think we need to retain a friendly relationship without country because they are on our southern border. They are our biggest foreign

policy concern in the world.

Speaker 2 Understood well, anything else you want to tell you American people on the is ly weekend, Good.

Speaker 3 Times are ahead. We got I do believe the fact probably more likely to be cutting interest rates than raising race. I believe that the effects of the big beautiful taxi, which we just celebrated the one year around anniversary of continues to kick in and provide a real stimulus to the economy. And John, you’re the expert on this. But

I think gas prices are going to continue to fall.

Speaker 2 Oh, I agree with you. Gas prices will continue to fall. Let’s but let’s see what happens and have a great Fourth of July weekend and let’s catch up again real soon.

Speaker 3 God, bless America.
