Speaker 1 Sunday morning. With us. We have one of our top economists in the country, well works very close to me with Larry Kudler. We have Steven Moore and Steve The investors are a little bit confused whether to zig or whether to zag. When do you think that they’ll be in a better position to ascertain?

I mean, my personal feeling is if everything falls into place, I mean the market is at forty one thousand, now, give it takes a few oil prices are down to fifty six fifty seven, At what point I think the market next year or so to hit fifty thousand because I think if some of the things that want President

Trump wants to install are going to be winners.

Speaker 2 Well, John, I tend to agree with you on that. Now, there are a bunch of asterisks attached to that prediction. The major asterisk is, well, there’s two really that matter. The most. One is can Trump pull off these trade deals with our major trading partners Japan, India, Mexico, Canada, the Brits. If he can get those major countries to

agree to lower their terrorists and we can have a kind of detante on the tariff issue, that will unleash I think a fury of stock buying, not selling like we’ve seen them for the last couple of months, and so that, and you know, I don’t know where things stand.

I don’t think any of us do, but I do. You know, my sources over in the White House say they’re getting closer to deals, but you know, there’s a big deal. There’s a big difference between being close to the deal and having the deal in hand. So that’s number one. The second thing that has to happen and soon, John,

is they’ve got to pass that big, beautiful tax bill. I don’t know why it’s taken so long. It’s already been three months, over three months, and they still haven’t gotten this thing. You know, on Donald Trump’s signature. There’s some talk about getting done by Memorial Day. Some people say maybe fourth of July. Some say by the end

of the summer. You know, before the summer resource recess. It’s got to get done. It’s got to get done quickly. And once Trump signs that tax bill and he has some of these trade deals in hand, I’m with you.

I think we’re talking about a boom in the market. Let’s not forget John, that when Trump was president, in his first term, the Nasdaq was up over one hundred percent in four years, the Dow was up fifty five percent in four years, and the and the SMP was up sixty percent. So he has a history of being

very pro investor.

Speaker 1 I agree with you one hundred and ten percent. But right now I think the Republicans better get there the crap and right and see I don’t use the other full letter work. Better get their crap in order and get the tax bills done at least that I mean, and not argue amongst themselves.

Speaker 2 Well, the big deal over the last few weeks, I think we put out this fire was this idea of raising the tax rates on, you know, on quote the rich. Every time we’ve done that over the last one hundred years, as Larry Caudlow and Laffer explained, it’s backfired and the rich find ways around those higher tax rates, a lot

of people, economic activity moves out of the United States, and it’s a bad deal. And in fact that what happens is the economy craters every time every time we’ve raised tax rates. So the good news is it sounds like Trump has put out that fire and said we’re not raising tax rates on anybody. In this big, beautiful bill.

I anticipate that they’re going to get it done in the next eight weeks, and that is that is a little too slow for me, but at least it gets done by the summer. I don’t remember the first one.

Speaker 1 I mean, but I’m going to say to all of them, but today, you know we’re in mail ready. I mean, it’s unbelievable. What I’m going to say to all the leading politicians that I talked to on the radio, and is a lot of them, I’m going to say, they better get it done before Memorial Day.

Speaker 2 And that’s it. Yes, well, I’m with you. I mean, there’s no reason they can’t. I mean, all this all they’re basically doing is making the Trump tax cuts permanent. And that was an extremely successful bill. And by the way, sixty five percent of Americans are for that, John, so they got the public behind them. Trump has a mandate

from the voters to do it, get it done. So that’s a positive thing. Because everything else Trump is been doing on the economy’s fantastic. The deregulation, the doge finding all the waste in the government, the fact that he’s producing more energy than ever before, the fact that he is.

He is getting really tough on you know, the bout border and all. It’s completely secure now. Those are huge, huge listens to our economy.

Speaker 1 Absolutely, and I think if we can, if we can get the tax bill done, which I mean, it’s not a tax decrease, we’re just going along with the same tax bill that we had since what is it twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 There’s a couple of add ons, John. There will be the no tax on tips, which is something Trump you know, the American public really was strongly in favorable. I’d like to see him bring that corporate rate back down to fifteen percent on things made in America. That would be So there’ll be a few add ons, but mostly it’s

just making sure that we don’t have a huge tax increase on January first, because I want to remind your listeners, if this doesn’t get done, then we’re facing one of the biggest tax increases in American history. That’s going to kill the economy. And I guarantee you if they don’t get this done, John, you can kiss a Republican Congress

goodbye in the midterms.

Speaker 1 I agree with you one hundred and ten percent, and I think this is between even the FED Chairman is against us because he hates Trump. Between the Democrats that hate Trump with a passion and the Fed Chairman, what they’re trying to do is delay, delay, delay, and bring it into twenty twenty six. Have a recession because if

we don’t get these things done, the possibility of ression. Recession exists.

Speaker 2 It does, and I think you’re right. I think a lot of them are rooting against the American economy, which I think is very unpatriotic because most of their voters in their districts or their states, almost all of them got a tax cuts, so why would they vote against that.

Speaker 1 I agree, Steve Moore, thank you. Let’s pray for America, let’s work hard for America, and let’s catch up again real.
