It’s a special day. Angelo Vivilo, tell us how you feel about it, and how will your members and will your the Italian people feel about it?
Well, John, since the call that you, since text you sent me giving me the information about what the President has done, I’ve been celebrating every day. I mean, it’s incredible that he is going nationally to support Columbus Day and statues. We’re not going to have this nonsense of tearing down the statues and disrespecting the holiday. And I
can’t thank you enough for volunteering to because I said, how can I thank you? You said, write a letter. I wrote a letter. You said you would get it to My hopes someday he does receive it, just to show our appreciation. The Italian American community is totally indebted to him for doing this. Is major, major, major, major, But
you know what, John, if I can make one more comment and not only helps the Tan Americans, it helps all ethnicities because he’s supporting individuals, ethnicity for what they believe in. And so I’m really grateful, and I thank you John for getting me the opportunity perhaps to have him realize the the gratitude that we have.
I’m glad President Trump has done that for the Italian people and preserving Columbus Day, preserving all the Columbus statues, and I hope he does that for all people, because America stands behind his history, and whether you’re Italian, or whether you’re you’re Spanish, or whether you’re you’re Greek or whatever, America protects all people. And I’m glad he started doing
it by the executive order on Columbus Dad.
Uh. Absolutely everything you said, John, It’s so true. And you know why I am so so elated and so grateful. It’s because no one’s ever done this before. You know, no presidents had the courage to step up and say what’s right is right, and he he has. And you know, as I said, when you sent me that notice about
what he the proclamation, I’ve been celebrating every day since and all of my friends I’ve gotten calls from. I can’t tell you how many people in the Tannery community thanking me, thanking you because I always mentioned that you were the person who’s helped me do this.
Angela Vivilo, President of the Clumbus Heritage Foundation, thank you for everything you do for all people, and we’ll touch up with you again real soon.
Okay, thank you so much. John Gobblish, thank you,
