Automated transcript · uncorrectedWith us today is Gregory Rothman. He’s the new GOP chairman in Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania is an important state in many many respects. Oh well, mister chairman, what the heck is going on in Pennsylvania? Can you give us an update?
Well, thanks for having me. Look, we came off in November twenty twenty four. Pennsylvania was the Keystone state. We not only helped re elect Donald Trump for his second term to be the forty seventh president with sending our electoral votes to him, but we won four other statewide elected offices. We re elected our treasurer state se Garrity,
re elected our aunitor general, re elected a Republican Attorney General, Dave Sunday, and in an incredible feat, we beat the Casey dynasty and elected Dave McCormick our new United States Senator. So we had a really good election cycle. We actually picked up two US House seats too, to help make speakers Johnson the speaker. And what we want to do
now is to continue this momentum and turn Pennsylvania from a purple state into a solidly read, reliable state, kind of like Ohio and Florida.
Are well, you know, Ohio and Florida are very purple and hopefully we win them off. Now you have any key races this November.
Absolutely, So we have two things going on. We have our county wide offices district attorneys, and we have judicial races. We have a Superior Court kay the Republican parties endorsed Anne Marie Wheatley or we Craft I’m sorry, out of Chester County and Matt Wolford out of Erie County for the Commonwealth Court. But we also have something really exciting,
an opportunity for us. We have three Democratic Supreme Court justices that have to be voted to retain. It’s a retention vote. They get a ten year extension on their term as Supreme Court justices. And these are Supreme Court justices that are activists, very liberal. They threw the Green Party candidate off the ballot in twenty twenty and allowed
all kinds of Shenanigans to take place in the twenty twenty elections, which did not help President Trump one bit. And they’ve also done things like found that Voter I D in Pennsylvania law we passed was unconstitutional, and they jerrymandered the House of Representatives where the Democrats were able to win back the control of the House of Representatives
the first time in twenty years. So we’re telling Republicans and independents and common sense Democrats to vote no, no, no on the three Supreme Court justices in November.
Well, it seems like you’re the best Jupea chairman we’ve had in a while since what was our friend Garaty.
Well, Stacey Gary is our treasurer. She was the number one vote getter in the history of Pennsylvania. But I’m sure you remember Chairman Gleason and Table.
Jason I’m talking about too. Yes, he was a terrific chairman for like ten eleven years.
Yeah, we’ve had we’ve had a pretty great history of our Republican Party in Pennsylvania. But we are in a rebuilding area. Er. We want to come off of this great election in twenty twenty four. But you know, we’ve got a very liberal governor who’s one of the great politicians, and Josh Shapiro, who, Josh Shapiro would take credit for the sun coming up.
I mean, that’s that’s the type of politicians.
But I understand the Democratic Party doesn’t like Jewish candidates.
Well, look, he was on the you know, contention for vice president. We don’t know why, but certainly why he wasn’t chosen, but certainly their position on Gaza and the hostages in Israel and supporting our great ally and friend Israel is not going to help him. But that’s we have an opportunity to beat him in twenty twenty six.
So we expect this momentum to keep going through the twenty twenty five elections into twenty twenty six, and then we want to elect a Republican president in twenty twenty eight. So JD. Vance Vice President. Vance will do well in Pennsylvania since he’s from Ohio and we share so much in common, including a border with Ohio.
Well, Gregory Ruthban, chairman of the GOP Party in Pennsylvania, which is a swing state, and we’ve got to swing into the right way for common sense. Thank you for coming on this Sunday morning, and let’s catch up again real soon.
Thank you, John, thanks for having me. Keep up the good work that you’re doing for our country.
God bless you, God bless America. Thank you, thank you,
