Speaker 1 Sunday Morning with us is former Congressman Peter King. And I hate to say former, but Congressman King. There’s so many things happening in the world Sunday Morning, where do we start with.

Speaker 2 John? I’d like to start with an issue which I really wish we didn’t have to bring up, but that’s the nine to eleven Healthcare program, which I was very involved in Congress and was bypodiused in Cala Maloney and Jerry Nalla worked with an omni veto Psella when he was in Congress, worked very hard on it and the

prison Trump signed the final bill in twenty nineteen, extending the program out to the end of this century. And it’s really needed because thousands and thousands of innocent people have come down at nine to eleven related illnesses, many of them first responders, cops and firefighters, construction workers, also some students who happened to be down there that day

in Stuyvesant High School. So this is a serious issue and the program works incredibly well. It’s never been any allegation of corruption or abuse or way. They have special doctors that are able to find these not these rare nine eleven illnesses, very open cancer, blood cancer disorders. They found them and they treat them. And but it’s again

essentially keep going. And now Elon Musk with does Or they were in there, they were cutting waste and appears as who’s done by access. They cut a good amount of the funding that’s necessary to get this program going. Now, Congress from Gabino and Congress from Milota Republicans are working very hard to get it restored, and Congress and garb

Reno is assured that it was going to be restored, but apparently it hasn’t been yet. And even like doctor Howard who’s head of the program, he was terminated. He supposed to be brought back, but officially it hasn’t happened yet.

And as a results of that, several people who have god for exams who need help are not getting it. So it’s really important that this be done. I don’t think anyone wants to see this done intentionally, but it’s a mistake that has to be corrected and time to be running out, and people who really need a side

from special Care.

Speaker 1 I agree with you. We promised those people and we’re obligated. And you were there when it was done and somehow. I don’t think President Trump knows about it. I think it was done. There’s no way that the president knows about it.

Speaker 2 In my opinion, I am absolutely positive that President Trump again, I was there when he signed the bill on the White House lawn which extended it to the end of this century. So he was definitely committed to it and meant a lot to him. He was also personally involved as far as providing aiden assistants to workers after nine

to eleven, he was a strong supporter of all types of aid and assistants going to the cops, to firefighters and construction workers. No, this is one of those bureaucratic messages that’s happened, and it’s got to be overcome.

Speaker 1 Peter King. Kongs from Peter King, write a note to him. We will find some way to get it to President Trump.

Speaker 2 Absolute, we will do. It’s great.

Speaker 1 And what else is bothering you as when you woke up at three o’clock in the morning couldn’t sleep, what it was bothering you?

Speaker 2 Well, I’ll tell you this wasn’t bothering me. This was making me feel good. Nansa County has once again been selected the safest county in the United States of America, and last week we had a series of ceremonies honoring the Nessa County Police Department on the one hundredth anniversary.

One was a wonderful Gallas ceremony which was there Police Commissioner pat Ryota County Executive Bruce Blakeman presided over that. They had former commissioners coming back even also top alumni of the Esop police including Keyshon and siloelver And got on to become NYPD commissioner. She was there and others.

And then there was a parade on Sunday to Wantaur which threw incredible crafts. Some people say over fifty thousand people were along one to our revenue for this parade. Commendous parade. They had I think almost a thousand motorcycles from police departments all over the country came here. It was went on that started I think at one two

o’clock in the afternoon. By the time the celebrations were over, there was giant block parties and everything else. It went on till almost midnight. And again it shows the appreciation that people of Edessa have the job the police department is doing and the best thing the cops have going for them is they do a great job. But they

know that the county Executive, Bruce Blakeman and the Police Commissioner Pat Ryder will be with them all the way. We’re standing with them and not gonna let their woke progressives undercut them. No one’s going to defund the cops in Nessra County. They’re going to stay strong. They’re going to stay on top of their game. And that’s why

it is right now the safest county in the world. Remember also, Nessa County is on the border of New York City, so we have to worry about the migrants coming in, we have to worry about cross over crime, and all of that has been kept under control. And again, once again the safest county in the entire United States

of America.

Speaker 1 Well that is a oh wow, uh, Peter King, thank you for coming on this Sunday morning. You wake up early, and you’re still waking up early, and we’ll catch up again on Monday. You’ll be in the studio.

Speaker 2 I will see you tomorrow night. I’ll be there. You got it. Go okay by not but
