He’s chairman of the New Jersey Republican State Committee, And so many things are happening in New York, New Jersey, New York. The exodus is happening. Everybody’s moving on in New York, going to cities with more son, what’s going on in New Jersey, Bob.
Well, you know, John is sort of the same thing. You know, people are sick and tired of the high taxes, and I want to talk about the education and agenda that these progressive people are putting on our kids and our families just horrific. And what they’re doing to the environment is terrible. So moving to Florida and places like
that is such a smart thing for so many people to do. It’s so sad because we’ve got great states. For example, New York City has the second best hockey team in the region. New Jersey Devils are clearly the best team in the region. Just sorry, just kidding to the range of fans, but no, I mean it’s crazy
the way they’re driving people out of our states when these are great places. We don’t want to leave. We want to say here and fix it, and that’s what we’re committed to doing. No.
I agree. In New York City, New York State, four hundred and eighty four thousand people have left in the last twenty four months, and the average salary of those people that are left is one hundred and forty eight thousand dollars. Do you have any numbers for me from New Jersey?
Well, I don’t have the specific numbers, but we have lost so much income, work and net worth. The value what they lead and what they lead with is not just their income tax. They lead with the job creation.
They’re the ones that are the philanthropists that support our hospitals and the things that we need to keep the loweregments of socioeconomic elements really supported in addition to the government. It’s the consequences are so serious, and the politicians, the Democratic politicians, stick their head in the ground and say, oh, it’s not really happening. We’re replacing them. Yeah, we’re replacing
people with tens of millions of dollars of income with people who are making reasonable living but nowhere near the insane income tax and philanthropic or job creation. It’s really a sad set of circumstances. But hey, John, it’s even worse in New Jersey. We have a progressive administration here, the socialists that are under the thumb of the teachers’ union,
and they’re driving policies that are so bad in terms of sex education to our kids, the kids in the second grade, we’re not going to know whether they’re coming or going. And then when it comes to the environment, these so called progressives have sold their soul to foreign offshore win people and they’re foisting on us something that
is an environmental disaster when these things have to be recycled, and it’s going to raise the average utility bill for a lower middle income person by over one thousand dollars a year because this energy is so much more expensive than natural gas.
It is crazy, because that’s what started the whole thing. When President Trump his term was over and President Biden took over, he made sure that everybody knew that oil was the enemy of his administration, and the price of crudo went from fifty five dollars up to one hundred and twenty dollars, and that increased the price of gasoline,
that increased the price of food. So what happened the poor people in the middle class. They’re the ones that got hurt.
It’s crazy. And you know what is Republicans have to realize we have to have a plan. It’s not just good enough to say these guys thinking they’re doing a lousy job. They’re screwing up our economy, they’re embarrassing us internationally, they’re ruining the environment. We have to have a plan that says, yes, we care about the environment as much
as you do, but we have a plan that makes sense, one that is technologically and scientifically ready to be implemented. And until we have that transition time, we have to use the most environmentally sound fuel like natural gas. We have to modernize our technologies and it includes nuclear power of fusion, fission, all those things that could be part
of the inventory. And we have to transition over a relatively long period of time because the science and technology is not ready for it. But we can’t let people think that we’re against advancing the science and doing things more environmentally sound, but we’re doing it with common sense.
We’ve got to let people know we have a plan. It’s not just good enough to say no, and those guys are stupid. We have a better plan. We’ve got to tell people we actually have a plan for these things.
Well, are there any officers coming through this November in New Jersey?
Hey, John, This is a big year for us. The last year in twenty one, we had the entire Senate and Assembly up, which was a normal cycle of things, but the sense is wasn’t ready, so we used an old map. In twenty twenty three, every single all forty state Senate seats are ope up in all eighty Assembly seats,
so our entire legislature is up.
And what’s a stubboard? What’s the squabboard right now? Between common sense and non common sense?
Well, we’re about five short in the Senate and we got about eight short in the Assembly, so we have a chance to take the majority. It’s a fair map, unlike the jerrymandering where we had forty seven percent of the vote in the congressional electionally got twenty five percent of the seats. Here, Democrats and Republicans agreed on a
new map that was fair. So we really have a fair map now, and so we have a good shot. It’s going to be tough. You know, we’re underdogs a little bit here, but I’ll tell you it’s going to be a great battle in November for us to take back take back our state. Big statement here this year
in New Jersey.
And and in New York City, the entire city council is up fifty one seats. And I’ve said that to a few other people that to fifty one seats, and some of them want to defund the police. And I said to the mayor, I said, those particularly city council people that want to defund the police, why don’t you
withdraw the police or reduce the police in their city council district and let the people in that district know that, well, your city council person wants to reduce it.
Yeah, it’s so ridiculous when you think about what you want for your family is a safe place to live, the kids can go to school, that worried about being attacked, are confronted by people and stolen things stolen from it.
In New Jersey, we have incredible increasing carjackings, car thieves, cars being stolen, all kinds of things. The quality of life has been damaged because they don’t stand up for the values of protecting the people are honorable, good people, and they’re making victims. That are so many people and it’s screwing us all up, and we just got to
stand up and say, hey, City Council, New York, Assembly, and Senate New Jersey, it’s time for going back to American values and the common sense economic and environmental policies.
Understood. So there’s a So there’s a big election for Assembly and state Senate in New Jersey and the one a big one in New York for city council. Listen, all we can do is elect the people. Know you know, WABC is is very very big in New Jersey, very very big in New York. Whatever we can do. All
we want is common sense. We want people with common sense to get elected.
No, I appreciate you what you do, because part of the problem is the media narrative doesn’t want to hear the truth. They just want to help Democrats and it’s really sad. So we don’t have that many outlets. So that’s why we have to go to friends and relatives and family and everybody say listen, here’s the facts. Here’s
what they’re doing to democracy. Here’s what they’re doing to the environment. Here’s what you’re doing the economy. Here’s what they’re doing education. Let’s talk facts and common sense and voters share our values. They just don’t they don’t know what way of hearing it from us. So I appreciate what you and ABC do w ABC do to give
us a chance to get the message out.
Well, Bob, who you stay in touch with us, tell us and tell you the common sense. There’s got to be a few common sense democrats, can’t you can’t you tell them to stand up against the crazy ones.
Well, you know, we have had some good flips here, the whole city Council of East Hanover in Morris County, New Jersey switch from Democrat to Republican. We’ve had us in South Jersey a number of switches, and people aren’t going from Republican to Democrats. They’re going from Democrat to Republican.
And we’ve got to do a better job of letting know there’s a home for them. We will welcome them. We want you to first vote for us and register with us, and we will help support you. And we’re working hard. We finally started to reduce the deficit of registration differentials between Democrats Republicans, and we’re working hard to
get the message out and we’re gonna win in the end. But we want what happens sooner than later. We don’t want to take too long because the damage that democrats are doing is so significant.
Bob Hulean, chairman of the GOP in New Jersey. Let’s pray for New York. Let’s pray for New Jersey. Let’s pray for America. Let’s bring common sense back to our country and our cities and our states.
God bless it. Thanks John, Thank you,
