Speaker 1 Sunday morning, a lot of people were angry on why as President Trump closed out the program has been in existence for a while us A I D that gives aid to a lot of people around the world. Yeah, it’s interesting and with us to explain things and to give his opinion is former governor of the state of

New York. We have George Patacky, governor of Patacky. You’ve been very familiar with the program. Can you give us an update on what you think is happening on this.

Speaker 2 Yeah, you know, John, I have to tell you. You know, I can understand people just who don’t understand stand what’s happening or what’s happened under Biden in Washington saying how could he do this, you know, eliminate us AID that’s been around for a while. But John, this is long overdue.

I’ve had some experience with USAID and it’s been awful. They are a bunch of cronies who have run it in a far left way, more interested in advancing a leftist global social agenda than helping American foreign policy or security needs. And the data that is being uncovered against the wishes of the USAID people who are trying to

hide everything is just horrible, and points out the desperate need to just completely dismantle it and start all.

Speaker 1 Over now to straighten things out for national audience. Is I think President Trump really wants to continue the program, but he wants to put people in there that he trusts to do the right thing for the people that we want to help.

Speaker 2 I think that’s exactly right, John. It’s not about eliminating USAID from helping people around the world. It’s about doing it in the right way and in America’s interests. What they were doing under Biden is criminal. You look at the social agenda things that they were doing, transgender advocacy in South Africa, political participation by LGBTQ plus people in Guatemala,

helping security for LGBT plus organism all over the world. They were spending billions of US taxpayer dollars not to help these countries really, or not to help certainly the United States interests, but to advance a far left social agenda.

These countries needed American help, but not the type of nonsense that was coming out of USAID. And by the way, John, when those the Department of Government Efficiency went in to look, they refused the access they needed time to try to cover up, scrub their websites and hide what they have been doing, because even they know what they were doing

was not right for America and not right for the world. And Trump is absolutely right, you have to clean house and start all over, and that’s exactly what he’s doing now.

Speaker 1 Governor, you have been to the Ukraine many times, trying to aid people and help them with generators and help them with food and everything. There was an accusation made last week by the current president Zareensky. Is it that he thinks it’s one hundred billion missing? Do you understand that and how it’s missing?

Speaker 2 Absolutely? You know, John, I’m glad you brought that up because I’ve been since the war the Ukraine six times, and our little organization has been there over twelve times. In fact, the people from the Pentaki Center there right now helping the people in Ukraine. And USAID had one hundred and fifty the billion dollars allocated for humanitarian aid

for Ukraine. We’ve been there all these times delivering humanitarian aid. We’ve seen virtually nothing from us AID. We tried to talk to them and say, look, we have an all volunteer organization. We’re on the ground in Ukraine. We can deliver things efficiently right away. They had no interest at all because they go through their cronies, their Washington partners

who they’ve given billions in grants to for years. Those Washington organizations have huge bureaucracies that spend the money on themselves, and then they put out requests for qualifications to other Washington organizations, and by the time the money gets to the Ukraine, very little is actually spent on things like heaters or generators. And this is exactly how USAID has operated.

It has been an awful organization. It has been a misused of fifty billion dollars a year plus one hundred and fifty billions, especially allocated for Ukraine. And it’s about time, it’s long overdue, to completely dismantle it and start all over.

Speaker 1 Again. We talked about President Trump, and you know, he’s been one smart guy in the last few weeks. And I believe part of the problem is that that President Trump doesn’t trust the people just doing the USAID and doesn’t trust what’s going on. And he insisted President Trump said last week he insisted that if Putin and the

Ukraine make peace, that he wants immediate wants immediate elections in the Ukraine. Do you see that?

Speaker 2 Absolutely? I think President Trump is right on that. First of all, this war has been a fantastrophe, and Biden’s leaders has been a does asked for Ukraine, dribbling out help and just having the war exteaded. Now virtually three years on, with massive losses to the human lives and in their over ten million people having to flee the country.

It’s been a disaster and a strong American leader could have solved this problem. And President Trump is that strong leader, So I think there’s a very reasonable chance he’ll be able to sit bluten and Zelenski down and say this has got to end. This is the only way that it can end. And by the way, once a peace

agreement is signed, then there should be new elections so that the people of Ukraine can determine their course once this war is over. I think Zelenski’s been a tremendous job in rallying the Ukrainian people in the cause of the freedom of their country. But there comes a point where you want to start all over again, and if

a peace treaty with Russia can be signed, their election in Ukraine would give them the chance to say, we know are at peace, let’s rebuild our country and let’s choose the leadership. But it may well be Zelenski again, but let’s choose the leadership to lead us during these times of peace.

Speaker 1 From some of my friends, I get reports that the person running against the Zelenski is being treated similar to what happened as in Trump versus the Democratic Party, and that they’re trying to tear him down before he has a chance to run. Have you heard any of that now?

Speaker 2 I haven’t heard that, actually, John. But you know, politics is politics, and it’s tough in the US, and I imagine during a time of war in a place like Ukraine it’s going to be difficult too. But I know, having been there so many times, you just see the spirit of the Ukrainian people and you know that they

want to be in a strong, independent, free country. And you know, the government may do something, the political leaders may do something, but ultimately I have confidence that the Ukrainian people will be given the opportunity to choose the leader that they believe is the right person once a peace agreement has been reached.

Speaker 1 Govern Up, Jackie, thank you for your update, and United States people are the most generous and most charitable people in the world, and I hope we put this in the right on the right driving course from the May the next couple of months.

Speaker 2 John, thank you very much, and you’re absolutely right. We are a very generous Mason and a great people, and to have something like USAID misusing hundreds of billions of dollars of that generous American aid is a disgrace and thank god President Trump is going to end it very quickly.

Speaker 1 Thank you so much for coming on this Sunday morning, and we’ll catch up again real soon and have a beautiful weekend.

Speaker 2 Thank you you too. Joh
