Speaker 1 Sunday morning with us today is send it to Alfonse to motto. And he has his own opinions about things, and you know he’s a friend forever and Santa Alphonse to motto, what do you have in mind this Sunday morning while we’re drinking our coffee.

Speaker 2 Well, we shouldn’t just be marching to the drum. I’ve been a lifelong Republican. I support Trump, I think. I think by the way, he’s been doing a spectacular job in his first ten days in office. Absolutely, I’ve never seen right way.

Speaker 1 I haven’t seen anybody working so hard and accomplishing so much in seven days.

Speaker 2 Yeah, and he’s not afraid to change. If he sees the things people say, well, you know, there’s certain things in this he says, all right, let’s hold up. You know. He doesn’t say no, we got it. He puts it out there. If there are people who bring up objections, to say, okay, let’s study it or hold it up.

And he’s done that in one or two instances. And he has worked his tail law. I have to say, President Trump, you’re doing at carific God. And by the way, one of his appointments I think is fabulous. He’s someone.

All right, if you’re a New Yorker, you’ve heard of him because he ran for governor. He with the congressman in Long Island, and that’s a former congressman, Lee zeld It. And he has designated him and he has been approved.

And by the way, he’s got more votes from the Democrats. Three senators. Democratic senators actually voted for him. So they for us party lines at party lines, and supportedly to be the head of the EPA, the Environmental Protection Agency.

And let me tell you, that’s an important agency because if they over regularly, they can really hurt the country. And if they don’t do enough, okay, you hurt the country. And Lee is the kind of person who’s going to look into that place and that they have I think about twelve thousand people. They’ve got a budget of eleven

billion dollars. I want to tell you he’ll make savings. I venture he’ll save this nation just out of that one budget a billion dollars. He’ll make them more efficient. We’ll have an environmental protection agency that doesn’t try to run every aspect of our life, but will give us a good, would sound protection. And so I applaud the

president for that.

Speaker 1 I know Leezeldon for a long time, and he’s an honest guy, and he’s a straight arrow, and he’s he’d be qualified to do almost anything. And I think it’s a good job for him and to do the right thing by the American people.

Speaker 2 Yep, you know what, John, you hit the nail right on the head. And we agreed. And we didn’t talk about this before. It’s not that we plea preplanned what we’re going to say.

Speaker 1 Now. I’ll tell you somebody from your hometown there in Nashaw, Suffolk County, Cash Patel, who’s up for FBI director. Have you ever met him?

Speaker 2 Yep, I’ve never met him. I really can’t give you an honest opinion based on fact. I’ve heard some things I don’t like. I hear a lot of things. They say he’s a good sound person. I’m just not in a position to make the judgment.

Speaker 1 President Trump. Look, the FBI was one of premier radforcement agencies in the world, and it seems like in the last seven to ten years somebody had politicized it in Washington, UH where politicals but political types of people are giving orders to FBI agents. So I think I think Trump Trump wants to put him there to straighten things out.

Speaker 2 Well, I give I give Trump the benefit of the doubt, and if that’s what he’s done in that case, I’m hoping that he’s made a good pick. Well, I really, one.

Speaker 1 Thing we know about President Trump, he knows how to say you’re fired.

Speaker 2 Yep. Well, I got to tell you one guy who I think you is going to wind up firing if he gets through, and I hope he doesn’t, and that’s Kennedy, the head the Department of Health and Human Services. He was involved in more businesses. Some of them are shady or certainly they don’t don’t look good, they’re nonsense. He

should be required to divest everything everything, And I hope he does not get appointed. This is a ridiculous thing. You want to give him something political, don’t put him in charge of something that is so important, health and Human Services. He was always a canniver. You look at his business, look at his operations. What he’s done. This

is a disgrace. Now you’ll owe him because he helped you politically. He was a Democrat, he dropped out he was running president. He endorsed you. Fine, but you don’t make him the head of that agency. He has nothing to back that up. It is a disgrace and I have to tell you, if he gets in, the President

will regret it and probably wind up firing him. Bad decision.

Speaker 1 Time will tell you know, I know Bobby Kennedy has a lot of good a lot of good points too. And let’s see what happens.

Speaker 2 Uh, Let’s let’s see, and let’s hope, let’s hope for the best.

Speaker 1 Senator. Thank you for your time on Sunday morning, and thank you for your opinions, and we love you, and we’ll catch.

Speaker 2 Up again real soon, great man, much of John. Take care now take ca
