Automated transcript · uncorrectedSunday morning, three days of the election with us today is Congressman Mike Golola, and he’s the Congressman Hudson Valley area and well Congressman three days Togo. What do you see the biggest problems that the American people are worried about and your district is worried.
About consistently, John, It has been the economy. People are being crushed by the cost of groceries, energy utilities, rent their mortgage bills. This has been the biggest issue that we have heard from constituents about throughout the course of my time in Congress and throughout the campaign. And obviously the migrant crisis is another major concern for folks, as
well as public safety and the international crises that we’re dealing with, and in particular obviously the threats against Israel. So this has been a major focus for me throughout this campaign, and you know, with just a few days to go here, I feel like we’re in a very strong position to close out and get a big win
on Tuesday night.
I know I have a house up in your area, and my biggest concern is I’m afraid that Kamala Harris is going to keep letting migrants come in. And I don’t mind migrants. I like immigration, but they’re letting in thirteen thousand murderers, and they’re letting in other people that have let out of Venezuela and jails.
Well, we just had a situation not too far from your home up in Westchester County where an illegal immigrant you know, tried to kill his girlfriend, killed one of her sons and wounded one of her other sons. And you know there he was previously arrested, and you know the as a detainer order. But this is the problem
with the policies that have been enacted here in New York and on a national level by the Harris Biden administration. That’s what that’s no question. And New York with its sanctuary city policies, its refusal to cooperate with ICE. When you have murderers, rapists being allowed into the country and local officials prohibiting law enforcement from cooperating with immigration and
customs officials, it’s absolutely outrageous. It needs to stop. We have laws. Yes, we have a broken immigration system that needs to be fixed. We are a nation of immigrants. You know that better than anyone. My wife is an immigrant as well, and we want to have a legal immigration system that works, that addresses our economic needs as
a country. But to allow this un tered, you know, illegal immigration, to continue to allow human trafficking, drug trafficking, gang activity, fetanyl pouring into our country, killing seventy thousand Americans a year, It’s outrageous and and unfortunate. Kamala Harris won’t do it.
I agree with you. I don’t think she will do it, and she’s said that she won’t do it, that she wants more immigrants. I believe in immigration, but don’t let in the murderers in the and the people let out of other countries jails to come here. I mean, you know, I’m going to live in your district someday and I
would vote for you today if I was there.
I appreciate it, John, I appreciate it. We got a few days left, and we’re going to keep working hard all the way through.
Keep working hard, keep your your your district safe, and I’ll be there soon.
Thanks, John, appreciate it.
