We rolled out two weeks ago a brand new coalition Democrats for Cruise, and we’re seeing across the state of Texas Democrats coming together sheriffs, former mayors, elected officials, former appointees in the Obama administration who are frankly fed up with the direction of Washington Democrats over
the last few years, and who are tired of seeing Democrats with open borders undermining law enforcement. There are a lot of Texans, a lot of Texas Democrats that want to keep Texas Texas. They want to keep an environment where jobs are plentiful, where taxes are low. They want lawn forcement to actually protect their families, and and they
want the border secured. And Senators, hey, I’m proud to see such a diverse coalition coming behind our campaign.
I agree with you, Senator because I’m sure that the common sense Democrats that want to see a safe Texas, they want to make sure the constituents are safe and Governor Abbott has been doing a great job. And all the migrants now most of the migrants are going to California versus Texas. Has the federal government taken any action
to fight the Texas.
Well, they have. You saw Joe Biden respond with really petulance when Texas was fighting to secure our border and getting having real success. Biden responded by announcing that he was canceling all new permits to export liquid natural gas.
And it was I think an act of revenge and spite because he was mad at Texas for fighting to secure the border. And it ends up hurting America. It hurts Texas, it hurts jobs, it hurts consumers by driving up energy costs. And the irony is it helps our enemies, It helps Russia and Iran and Venezuela. It hurts our allies,
and at the same time it makes the environment worse. And yet Joe Biden, we have seen, is so has gone so extreme that he’s willing to hurt America and help our enemies just in order to try to strike back at Texas.
I understood, Seli, Joe, what else keeps you up at night? Of what’s going on in Washington, what’s going on in our borders, et cetera. What keeps you up at night?
Well, I’ll tell you that there’s no crisis greater than what’s happening at our southern border. It is a full on invasion. We have seen ten point four million illegal immigrants come into this country under Joe Biden. And that is deliberate. He wants to outcome. You know, last week we had the State of the Union, and and and
every Senator gets to invite one guest to come to the State of the Union. My guest was Sheriff Danny Dominguez. Sheriff Dominguez is a Democrat. He’s an elected Democrat. He is the sheriff for Presidio County, which is down along the southern border. His county has one hundred and eight miles of border along the Rio Grande River. And Sheriff
de Bengaz has been an elected Democrat for twenty eight years. And yet Sheriff de Venguez is supporting me. He’s supporting my reelection and and and and he’s standing with me. And I’m standing with him because Sheriff Demngez wants to protect the Texans in his county. He wants to stand up and secure the border, and and and and it
was astonishing at the State of the Union to see Biden give but was an angry, bitter, extreme partisan speed each Most notably, throughout the speech, I think everyone was waiting to see if he would say Lake and Riley’s name, and he did not have in a speech any reference to her name. Finally, in response to heckling from the crowd,
he tried to say her name. He actually calls her Lincoln Riley instead of Lake and Riley. Lincoln Riley of course as a football coach in southern California. But what he said about her was so dismissive, he admitted in passing he said, well, she was killed by an illegal, and then he says, how many other people have been
killed by legals? And I got to say, John Rita. That was infuriating. As y’all know, Lake and Riley was a twenty two year old nursing student in Georgia, a beautiful young woman. Her murder was utterly preventable, and she died because of Joe Biden’s open border policies. Her murderer came illegally from Venezuela. He was apprehendied it in al Passo. Now,
had Joe Biden followed the law, had put the murderer on a plane and flown him back to Venezuela, lacoln Riley would still be alive. But because Joe Biden wants an open border, he let him go. And the murderer then went to where you are, to New York City, and sadly, because New York City is a sanctuary city,
he was arrested again, this time for endangerment of a child. But New York City let him go. Had New York City locked him up and kept him in jail, Lake and Riley would still be alive. And yet Joe Biden takes zero responsibility. Even worse, you know what he did.
Right to the next day, Joe Biden went on TV and apologized to the murderer, not to Lake and Riley’s family. To the murderer, he said, I shouldn’t have called him an illegal. I should have said he was undocumented murderer.
It is. And I thought it was so disgusting too that he actually, like you said, he seemed to have more anger towards the phrasing and more sympathy in a way for the migrant who killed. He seemed to be more conscious of just the verbie edge, how to call me I legal or undocumented, than the crime itself. What
does that say to you about the President Ted Cruz.
Well, unfortunately Joe Biden and the elected Democrats in Congress put the priority. They prioritize illegal immigrants. They prioritize criminals over Americans. That look, y’all are saying in New York, where where school kids are being pushed out of their schools and the schools are being filled with illegal immigrants, we’re seeing that at airport JFK Airport they’re housing illegal immigrants.
Well, the other thing, Senator, is just yesterday, you know, I was, I almost went to West Point, and I could not believe that they’re dropping the motto duty on a country. Who would issue that order?
Fortunately a president who no longer wants our military defending duty, honor and country. This is not your grandfather’s Democrat Party. Today’s Democrat Party is unrecognizable. And the problem, and we’ve talked about this before, is it has been taken over by the radical left. It has been taken over by the cultural Marxist As you know, my most recent book
is called Unwoke, How to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America, and it explained how we’re not seeing. Look. John F. Kennedy was a proud Democrat. John F. Kennedy would not be welcome into a book party because duty, honor country are no longer concepts that that today’s Democrat Party is willing to defend.
Listen, just today, I don’t think Bill Clinton would be welcome to this in this Democratic Party either.
He would not he would be thrown out, and he would be called a right wing or publican. Today. Yeah, look, just today, Chuck Schumer on the Senate floor, seech attacking Israel, attacking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah, Who am demanding that Benjamin Netanyah, who stepped down from leadership of Israel. He’s the elected Prime Minister of Israel. But today’s Democrat Party is so
anti Israel, They’re so anti Semitic that Chuck Schumer stood on the Senate floor in the middle of a war while Israel is fighting to defend itself from Hamas. Schumer is not standing against some ass He’s not standing against the terrorists. He’s saying, I demand the elected Prime Minister of Israel must be fired. That is outrageous and sadly
it is a symptom of today’s radicalized Democrat Party.
And does that mean we’re trying to change governments in Israel? I mean is that the duty of the United States of America might God.
And of course not, but that’s the arrogance of today’s left. And by the way, that would be wrong for any leader to do it. You remember, and listen, that’s been the arrogance of the left for a while. You remember when Obama was president and the United Kingdom was voting on Brexit, whether the pull out of the EU, and
Obama went to England and lectured the Brits that vote to stay, don’t vote for Brexit. And it backfired, obviously, because the Brits were like, who the hell is this guy to tell us who to vote for. Well, in this case, the arrogance of Schumer to say, look, I don’t presume to tell the people of Israel who they
should vote for. I am good friends with Prime Minister Netanyah, who I think he does a fantastic job. But I also think it’s up to the people of Israel to make the decision whom to elect, and America will work with whoever they’re elected leader is. But their elected leader is Benjamin nettan Yahoo. And Chuck Schumer doesn’t give a
damn because today’s Democrat party. He is driven by the squad. It is driven, I’m sorry to say, by Layton anti Semitism. We see in university campuses and we see in the halls of Congress. I elected Democrats.
