Speaker 1 With us today. He’s ambassad at John Bolten, and he’s a wealth of knowledge. He’s seen it at all. And let’s get a reading of where we are today and what’s going on in Israel and what’s going on in Ukraine.

Ambassador Bolton, give us a report. I mean, there’s so many things happening.

Speaker 2 Well, thanks John, glad to be with you. I think the focus the past couple of days on the war that Israel is fighting against the terrorists Tomas and backed by Iran, really has come to an amazing point from the US perspective, with President Biden threatening to cut off military assistance to Israel if it continued its effort to

destroy the Hamas terrorist group by going into the tunnels under Rafa. I mean, this is the kind of break between the US and Israel that just unprecedented to put this sort of pressure on an American ally like that in the middle of what they see as an existential thread.

You know. I think a lot of people think that Biden is just responding to pressure from the left wing of the Democratic Party, the concern that they would stay home in November. The Israeli government really hasn’t responded directly yet and so I’m sure there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, but I don’t think we’ve ever seen

anything like this for an American ally in wartime under pressure to basically say we’re going to cut them loose if they proceed with doing what they feel they need to do.

Speaker 1 Understood. I mean, it’s my concerned ambassador is annuity ambassador to the United Nations from the United States. How many countries out there trust us?

Speaker 2 Well, that’s an important point because the signal that this weakness by Biden sends to Moscow and to Beijing is a very bad one. I mean, if we won’t come to Israel’s support, what are we going to do with with a If Russia, China threatened countries along their borders that are not so close to the United States. I mean,

people have to wonder if we’re not going to follow through on our commitments to Israel, who will we follow through on? And so I think it’s it seems to me the only way to explain what Biden is doing is his own political weakness in the United States, the fear that a lot of people who voted for him

on the left wing of the Democratic Party in twenty twenty will stay home this November. That’s no way to run American national security policy. That’s for sure understood.

Speaker 1 The Red Sea and the Suez Canal, where the heck call we, I mean there’s nothing happening.

Speaker 2 Well, you know, I think what’s happening is that ships are still generally speaking afraid to try and transit the Red Sea. The Hoodies, the Iran Bach Rebel Force, and Yemen have basically closed traffic there. And while it hasn’t had I should ask you, it doesn’t seem to me.

It’s had a dramatic impact on oil prices as a choke point if the crisis in the Middle East grows that that’s going to be a big factor. In any event, it’s contributing to increased cost and troubles for Europe and all the rest of the world’s commerce that normally would have gone through the Suez Canal. It’s another case where

the administration has allowed Iran, through this terroriced proxy group, the Hooties, to have a major impact on the world economy and not to have done enough to prevent it from happening.

Speaker 1 Understood, And is there any reason whatsoever why the Commander in chief doesn’t send in the fors or the Navy to clean out those hoodies.

Speaker 2 Well, I think again, this is something that reflects his concern about November. None of us want to see higher oil prices, and he’s worried that if he really goes after the hoodies that that could irritate Iran. But you know, you can’t run American foreign policy worried about whether you’re going to be unkind to the Iatolas and Tehran. And

in fact, if you could reopen the Red Sea and the Suez Canal tot oil traffic, you’d get prices back down again. But it’s this constant fear of a wider war that somehow will affect Biden in November. I think he just wishes it would go away. But it’s not going to go away. The problem is still there. It’s

still causing difficulties. You’ve got Americans also at risk in Iraq and Syria where the where the Shia militia groups that are armed and trained and funded and equipped by Iran have begun attacking American and other positions. Again, You’ve got Hezbela in Lebanon, still rocketing northern Israel. So it’s not just it’s not just one problem in the Middle

East that the administration isn’t addressing. It’s the whole ring of fire strategy that Iran is pursuing against Israel, And what are we doing to Israel. We’re threatening to cut off weapons if they go after Hamas.

Speaker 1 It just doesn’t make any sense invested. I mean, Jimmy Carter was hoping the problem would go away when the Iranians took the American prisoners and didn’t go away til Ronto Reagan was elected exactly.

Speaker 2 And look, we’ve got the demonstrations on college campuses where the left wing has come out against Israel and its efforts to defend itself. It’s really incredible. I think it troubles people all around the country that the president’s are sort of presiding over this disorder.

Speaker 1 I agree, what else, So we got about a minute left? What else do you want to tell the American people?

Speaker 2 Well, you know, I think it’s still important to worry about Ukraine, even though Congress I give Speaker Mike Johnson a lot of credit for getting the aid package through. Hopefully it’ll have an impact on the battlefield, but the Ukrainian there’s still under pressure from the Russians. The Russians really, really want more of Ukraine than they’ve got. So while

we’re focused on the Middle East, understandably, let’s not forget about Ukraine and the burden it’s still facing from that Russian invasion.

Speaker 1 Understood, Ambassador John Bolton, Thank you for your input, thank you for caring about America and everything you’ve ever done for America and continue to do for America. And we’ll catch up with you again real soon.

Speaker 2 Thanks again, John, Take care,
