Speaker 1 What is today is Dick Morris and he has a show every Sunday from twelve noon to two o’clock. And he worked for President Clinton, worked for President Trump, and he’s got his ear close to the to the ground.

And Dick Morris, what’s going on in the race right now?

Speaker 2 Well, John, Ever since Bobby Kennedy entered the race and announced he was going to run as a Democrat for president, well as an independent, I mean he’s royaled the race and turned it upside down. And people have been wondering what his candidacy as an independent draw more votes away from Biden or more votes away from Trump. And now

the data is in and clearly he’s drawing more votes from Biden than he is from Trump. The most interesting poll was Economist. You go that in the two way Biden against Trump with nobody else running, Trump defeats Biden by two point seven. But with a five way race including Biden, Trump, Kennedy, Jill Stein the Green candidate, and

Cornell West the Black candidate, Trump’s league jumps out to seven points, so he benefits dramatically by Kennedy’s candidacy.

Speaker 1 Traditionally, Kennedy was a Democrat, so I would say that if the Democrats want an alternative candidate, you’ll they’ll vote Kennedy.

Speaker 2 That’s right, But a lot of Republicans, a lot of Democrats are saying, oh no, he’ll draw more votes from Trump than from Biden, and that now is just disproven by the data. There’s a similar poll by Rasmussen that shows Trump defeating Biden by six points in a two way race, but by more than ten points in a

five way race. So we can set to rest the big contention the Democrats have had, which is that the Kennedy candidacy helps them and ultimately hurts Trump. It doesn’t.

Speaker 1 It’s the opposite, understood, and I think you’re one hundred percent right on this one. Well, I mean the question is, in the last seven days or five days is Kennedy? Are the Democrats trying to make a deal with Kennedy?

Speaker 2 Well, yeah, but Kennedy is not going to make a deal with them. They dislike each other. The Democrats are trying to force Kennedy off the ballot, and Kennedy might well finish second in a couple of key states because he’s polling very well and nationally he’s at sixteen percent of the vote, and Biden’s just at thirty five, So

why see Kennedy give way. I don’t think he’s going to do that, and that’s just another of the Democratic phantom hopes. But we’ll talk about all this on my show Sunday between noon and two.

Speaker 1 Well, you’re on today. I’ll be listening to your show today at noontime, and I look forward to see what you’re gonna have to say about in detail what’s happening within presidential race between Trump, Kennedy, and Joe Biden. Thank you so much, Dick Morris.

Speaker 2 I’ll see you later today. Thank you, thank you,
