Automated transcript · uncorrectedSunday morning. I’m here with Dick Morris. What the heck is going on in the White House? What’s going on with What’s going on with Musk? What’s going on with Trump? Well, Dick Morris, you have your ears to the ground. You know things that nobody else knows. Tell give us a hit.
What do you think is going on? Good?
Well, the fight between Elon Musk and Donald Trump is quite real. It’s based on a class of egos and uh Trump and the fact that Trump eliminated the subsidies of the electric vehicles, which is the Tesla brand, and Tesla’s dependent on it. So it’s kind of a slap that Musk and mustaliates by attacking the BBB, the Trump
cat cut build. But it’s a side show. It’s got very little to do with what’s important. The keith is the passage of the BBB, the Big Beautiful Bills Trump calls it, which says all of his tax cuts and all of the spending programs, And that’s the key thing.
It’s passed the House and by one vote, and it’s pending in the Senate. But it should pass more easily because the Congressional Budget Office has announced that it has found that Trump tariffs are going to generate two zero point eight trillion dollars in revenue over the next ten years.
And that’s money that they could they could not count on previously in the budget calculations. Normally that would have come from tax money.
So where did Dick marsh Where does that money go into the equation when you’re figuring out a should be less deficit instead of more.
Deficits correct correct, much much less, and that’s why the bill should pass easily instead of like a fourth trillion dollars add into deficit, which is what they’ve originally said. Now it’s about one trillion, And really isn’t that because the economy will grow and the Congressional Buzzer Office always understates the growth. So the issues surrounding the BDB are
more apparent than real. Most likely it will be negotiated fairly easily with that extra money. And what’s going on now is just a little bit show. So reluctant senators can show they confituents that they were reluctant, but they went along and the Trump drove a hard bargain. But I believe that the announcement last week of this money
from tariffs effectively ends the chense that the BDD will be defeated. And I think that that’s crucial because if it’s passed and the tax does to take effect immediately, that were probably sure that we win the election of twenty six and keep control of Congress. So it’s very important.
And I think Trump has succeeded in replacing tax revenues and borrowing with trapped with tarraffs, and that’s a totally new source of revenue. The United States usually gets only about eighty billion a year from tariffs, and this is much more than that.
And Trump is working for the union people, He’s working for the for the working people, and bringing back industry back to America instead of sending it away.
Yeah, you have to see this as three parts. Originally Trump wanted to impose tariffs so that he could make American exports competitive in other countries try open their markets. Then he said I want I’ll do that, But then I also want to force these companies to move. They’re manufacturing to the US, so we’re not just buying their product,
they’re making their products here in the US, employing American workers. And he succeeded brilliantly with that, there’s over eight trillion of foreign investments if he’s attracted. And then he added a third purpose. He said, apart from all of this, I also want revenue because when I collect the TERRFF, the government collects the error. So I want to sell
steel to the US, and I have to pay a tariff of one hundred millions that goes directly to the US government. And he said, I want to use that money to cut taxes on working Americans. And that’s just what he’s doing. So it’s really to reflected its fries, open foreign markets, it eliminates the when to tax cut
and benefits to the American worker in all those ways.
What you’re on at twelve noon on WABC worldwide one hundred and seventy three countries, fifty states on Sunday. So what are you going to be talking about today on Sunday?

It’s a big beautiful bill, what’s going on with carraffs, what’s going on with the fight between Musk and Trump? And what the and what the orpimative effect will be and I think I’ll be
able to answer all those questions.
