Making the tax cuts permanent.
Transcript
Automated transcript · uncorrectedSunday morning with us from the great state of Alabama. We have Tommy Tuberville, better known as Coach Well Sunday morning before we go to church. What do you have in mind?
Tommy Well has been a senator up here in the swamp. John. We’re working on President Trump’s agenda. Last week we put in a long week on the Big Beautiful Bill. The main thing about that bill is making the tax cuts permanent.
And if we don’t do that and get this done in a short period of time, the American taxpayers will pay twenty two percent more in taxes and that doesn’t need to happen. So President Trump’s got us, got us running, and it’s fun to watch this thing come into place.
But there’s a lot of moving parts, John, and we’ve got to get this done soon. But it is gonna be a great thing for the American people.
There’s too many people with too many opinions, and President Trump has to bring it all together because it’s better getting it done sooner than later.
Well, he’s the head coach, He’s the guy that’s got to pull everybody together. He’s putting this plan together. Of course, he’s done a great job the first five months and stopping immigration and trying to end all these wars, getting inflation under control, getting manufacturer moving back tariffs in place.
But this is very, very important for the growth of our country, This tax, tax cutting jobs bill that he implemented in twenty seventeen, that we need to make it permanent for the taxpayers. But we need to put more money back to the taxpayer’s pocket, John, where they can spend it and our economy will grow.
Now, the Coach, there’s been so many arguments between the Senate and in the Congress and the representatives. Are we getting it together? What do you see?
Well, they passed it. Now, I’ll send it over to us here in the Senate. We’ll make some changes. We made some last week. We’ve got another couple of weeks that we will try to do what’s best for the American people. After that, we’ll send it back to the House.
They’ll have to pass it again, and then if they do that, then it’ll go to the president desk. But again, there’s a lot of moving parts. There’s a lot of things that I don’t like in the Bild. But you can’t please everybody. Everybody’s got to understand that the number one thing is the tax cuts, and then everything else
has got to be worked out, you know, through government. And again, this is not the only reconciliation bill we’re going to do in the next two years. We have two more we can go after. So let’s just get this done. Get it done for the American people, help President Trump get this economy going again.
Everybody, coach, everybody agrees on that. When win that game and now, and we will win other games in the future.
Exactly, exactly. It’s just take it one at a time. And again, President Trump is one of those guys that he’s he’s got that plan and we got to help him with it. Sometimes the plan is like in football.
Sometimes you got to run the ball, sometimes you got to throw it. He’s got the plan, along with Scott Bessett and Howard Luddenick and Kevin Bessett. There’s a lot of good people behind this. So let’s stay with them, work hard on it, and get it done for the American people.
Understood. Tell us what else is bothering you on a Sunday morning.
This Ukraine Russia War. I mean, we’re on the verge of this thing breaking out and involving the American military. We did not need that to happen. Poodin and the Lensky need to come together and work out a got a peace plan for this. Joe Biden had no desire to do that. He’s got us in trouble. President Trumps
working hard to get it done. There’s thousands of people a day that are dying in this world work, and it’s like, you know, your European countries need to come together. We all need to pull together to get this thing over with because if we don’t, we continue to have this back and forth of bombing each other’s cities, then
it’s going to escalate out outside their borders into everybody else’s and it’ll be a disaster like it was in World War Two.
A coach, you know, it seems that that attack he made on Putin Zolensky last week, I think Putin is very very much annoyed. Uh was that necessary?
It would be too John, you would be too now that’s you know, Zolensky just called his hand. That was supposed to have been a peace day where they all came together.
And is Zelenski trying to lure NATO into this situation?
One percent? There ain’t no doubt because he can’t win this war on his own. He knows he’s losing. And what better way to escalate this is to make your own attack into Russia. What they did is they drove trucks two thousand miles into Russia. They had drones that were covered up in the back of these trucks. They
got close to the target, opened up these trucks, drones flew out and destroyed somewhere around forty major airplanes that that work on the that Russia uses to in their nuclear arsenals. So it was devastating. But again, both sides or fault. Let’s get this thing over with, and President Trump’s the one that can get it done.
I agree one hundred percent. And when I spoke to President Trump a few weeks ago, and I said to him that the one mistake we made is when one of a sudden we told them, we told Zelenski that when we have peace with Putin, that he wants an election.
Zelenski doesn’t want an election. He’s not gonna let an election happen. He’s not gonna had a chance on getting off the payroll.
Yeah, if he knew if he had an election, he’d get voted out and that’s what one thing I got against what’s going on. You know, background World War two, we had elections, and you can’t stop your your your constitution just because there’s war going on. I think that’s when you really need to look into your constitution. And
Leelanski is a dictator and he’s created all problems. We’ve got a lot of money that’s been missing that no telling where it’s gone. But the end of the day, there’s so many people getting killed and maimed in this in these attacks. John It’s just it’s way out of control.
But the by administration allowed it to happen. It really it really escalated the last couple of years. And my God said, you know, it’d be devastating, it would be like our Vietnam War. But it’s it’s probably three or four times worse than the Vietnam War. We only lost fifty thousand. I think both of these these groups have
a lot close to five, six, seven hundred thousand people and it’s just it’s devastating to the to the world.
Horrible, horrible, and it would have never happened if Biden didn’t give away Afghanistan. And potent is scratching his head and say well, if China’s getting Afghanistan, why am I getting not getting anything? And go after the Ukraine. That’s bottom line.
How it happened exactly. There’s want to be leaders, uh you know, try to get their people involved in something, try to help their economy. But I’ll tell you what it is, ransacked Ukraine and and even Russia. There’s a lot of a lot of It’s gonna be a lot of bad blood for a long time. But the one
guy that I feel strongly about to get this thing done is is Donald J. Trump. You know, he’s a negotiator in peace.
He is one tough guy, and I don’t think we have anybody tougher to to, you know, with the situation we have right now of the world. Uh, well, Sunday morning, anything else before we go off the church and light a candle?
No, well, that’s the only thing we got going on now is this big, beautiful bill that we’ll start back tomorrow on Monday, and as you know, we’ll continue meetings, we’ll try to do the best we can for the American people. But something has to be done again. As I said, you know, we’ve got to get these tax
cuts put permanent and get President Trump to where you can get this economy going again. And you know I said we’re gonna get it done. It’s just it’s like pulling teeth right now. It’s very, very hard.
Senator Tommy Tubevel, I understand somewhere in the future we might be calling you Governor Tubevel. You know we are one hundred percent for you. God bless you, and God bless America.
Thank John, God bless you.
