Speaker 1 Sunday morning. Well, with us this morning is Congressman Andy Biggs, and he could be the next governor of Arizona. He was endorsed by President Donald J. Trump, and that puts him ahead of the curve, I would say, personally. And, well, Congressman Biggs, what the heck is going on in Arizona?

Have they found any more bodies lately?

Speaker 2 No, uh, no, they haven’t found any, any bodies. They, and they, they never found the Mrs. Guthrie and, and, uh, they’re looking, uh, they think they might’ve found a body, but we don’t know who it is yet. And then, you know, John, uh, what’s going on here out here is just, uh, We got some rain yesterday, they tell me,

and up in the mountains. That’s really critical for us. But Arizona has a governor that’s kind of taken us in the wrong direction, and people, I think, are fed up with it. So that’s what’s going on.

Speaker 1 So is Arizona, the people who live in Arizona, there’s two important things, that you cut out the voter fraud issue Do you believe that most of the voter fraud has been cut out?

Speaker 2 There’s been a significant dent in it in various counties. So the biggest county is Maricopa County, five and a half million people in it. That’s the one that has always been a big problem. The new elections officer came in and basically cleaned up the voter rolls. And when he cleaned up the voter rolls, he took hundreds of

thousands of You know, illegal dead people, you know, whose names shouldn’t be on there, which helps our primary election. John, you’re not going to believe it. We actually knew a primary evening the results of the primary election. I mean, that’s just like the first time that I can remember in a long time that it hasn’t taken two or

three weeks. And then so they’ve done a pretty good job there. We have some counties that still are not so hot, still not so hot.

Speaker 1 Is anybody doing anything about it?

Speaker 2 The state is, but we’re kind of stuck. You’ve got a Democrat secretary of state, so he runs the elections. You’ve got a Democrat attorney general who’s supposed to enforce the law. And you’ve got a Democrat governor who’s vetoed more than 70 election integrity bills, John, more than 70 election integrity bills. And so it’s an uphill battle, but

Don’t forget, Trump won here big. All the Republicans, except for one statewide last time, we had a really good election last time for Republicans, and that’s because Republicans turned out to vote. If we turn out to vote, we’re going to win. We will win.

Speaker 1 Now, I understand elections are mostly for states to regulate. Do you have a strong U.S. attorney in Arizona that is overseeing it, maybe, or at least overseeing it?

Speaker 2 Well, the Department of Justice, they sent monitors out here for the primary court. election, and they’re sending more monitors out for the general election. So DOJ is involved, and the U.S. Attorney for Arizona is involved. And they were looking over it. And then you have, we’ve got a bunch of watchdog groups locally and nationally that are here with,

that’ll be there watching with attorneys, et cetera, to make sure things go smoother and cleaner than they did four years ago.

Speaker 1 Tell us one more thing. The people that were voting Democratic, what is their big beef with the Republicans?

Speaker 2 So what their issue is, so if you’re left wing right now and you’re Democrat, you’re you think the state’s going in the right direction. And so you’ve got a lot of environmentalists, for instance. So we have a governor who’s basically shut down a building of homes in a lot of places. She’s attacked our water supply. And so

they wanted, what they would like to do is they’d like to shrink Arizona a little bit. So that’s what they’re trying to do. And so they’re content with that. And then we’ve got a lot of wealthy people that are here and they’re doing all right.

Speaker 1 So They live with that.

Speaker 2 The other thing is a lot of complaints, they think that Trump is too, you know, gregarious or, it’s probably not the word they would use, but they think he’s tough. The Democrats here like the Democrats everywhere else. I mean, and then there’s a level of corruption in the Democrats.

I mean, our governor is still under criminal investigation. The Democrat attorney general said, oh, she did some things wrong and bad, but we’re not going to prosecute, that type of thing. And so you’ve got this kind of culture in some pockets of corruption here in Arizona. And the Democrats are okay with that, I guess.

Speaker 1 That is hard to believe. Yeah. Anything else you want to tell the American people this Sunday morning?

Speaker 2 Yeah, well, I’ll tell you that as we come closer to this election, I’m going to win this election. And, John, we’re going to turn this around very quickly. We’ve got a great Attorney General candidate, a great Secretary of State candidate.

And the Republicans are working hard. And it blows them this. If we get our turnout, we win. And when we win, it’s a short time, John, before we turn it around. And I’m talking from January when we get sworn in, about six to eight weeks. And you’ll see a whole new Arizona, a freer Arizona. uh, you know, more economically, uh,

prosperous Arizona. And, uh, you’ll have people like me as governor actually going and making sure that we have the water we’re supposed to be getting that, uh, is being withheld from us. So, so there’s a lot, a lot of, I’m really optimistic. That’s the bottom line. I’m really optimistic where Arizona is going.

Speaker 1 Well, uh, representative Biggs, thank you for calling in today. And, uh, We pray for common sense in our country and pray for common sense in the great state of Arizona. And we’ll catch up with you again real soon.

Speaker 2 John, thanks so much. I appreciate you talking to me.

Speaker 1 Thank you. Take care.
