Peter Navarro

Peter Navarro discusses his book “Why Fauci Must Rot in Prison,” arguing that Anthony Fauci’s funding of gain-of-function research led to the COVID-19 virus and that states can prosecute him. He recalls his January 2020 Situation Room argument with Fauci over the China travel ban. Navarro and John Catsimatidis also criticize the Federal Reserve for raising rates during an energy price shock.

Key takeaways

  • Navarro said Fauci’s gain-of-function funding “in all likelihood” led to the virus’s creation at the Wuhan lab.
  • He said about 15 million people died in the pandemic and, in his opinion, Fauci bears responsibility.
  • The book’s closing chapters argue states can prosecute Fauci without a federal pardon blocking them.
  • Navarro said the Fed should never raise rates into an energy price shock, citing Greenspan and Bernanke.

Speaker 1 Sunday morning. With us today is Peter Navarro, and he has a new book that’s very, very justified. Why Fauci must rot in prison. Well, Peter Navarro, how many people, in your opinion, see, by saying your opinion, you can’t be sued, uh, that died from COVID in the last five years that maybe Fauci knew more things about.

Speaker 2 John, it’s my opinion in the book, Why Fauci Must Rot in Prison, that he’s responsible for every death because he’s the fruit of the poisonous virus tree. In why Fauci must rot in prison, I show how Fauci’s Frankenstein vision of funding this thing called gain-of-function research in all likelihood led to the creation of the virus by the

Chinese communists at the Wuhan lab, including military personnel, who either let that thing leak accidentally or possibly even released it as an attack on the Trump administration. I show that in the book. Now, I have street cred on this, Johnny.

I don’t know if you remember, but I was on your show quite a bit during the pandemic. I was effectively conscripted. I went from being top trade advisor to the quartermaster of the whole pandemic. I was the guy who was getting you the masks, gloves, the Tyvek suits, the swabs and everything. I remember the police commissioner of

New York himself getting in touch with me at my office, the one I’m sitting in right now, asking me for the Tyvek suits for his officers because they were going in and recovering corpses died from the virus and they.

Speaker 3 Didn’t want to get infected.

Speaker 2 My point is that I fought Fauci throughout the administration on every single issue.

Speaker 3 I was right. He was wrong on the travel ban.

Speaker 2 I fought him on. That’s when I first met him. I fought him on mask lockdowns. I was saying early on in the lockdowns that that was going to cause more damage than lives it would save. And this whole universal vaccine force jab stuff, I fought him on that as well. So I’m the prosecutor in why Fauci must

rot in prison. You, the reader, are going to be the jury, and you get to render the verdict. And by the way, at the end of the book, I show... Johnny, how states around the country can prosecute this guy without worrying about a federal pardon and put him in jail?

Because the answer to your question is about 15 million people died from the pandemic, and the blood of every single one of those people, in my opinion, is on his hands.

Speaker 1 Well, you know, I feel the same way. I feel that my opinion... is that Fauci knew what the Chinese were up to. And the Chinese, if you remember correctly, because it’s five, six years ago already, that they stopped flights within China, but they kept flights going internationally.

Speaker 3 Exactly, exactly.

Speaker 1 I mean, that is horrible.

Speaker 2 There’s a great scene in Why Fauci Must Rot in Prison. The first time I meet Fauci, he has a diary, but I’ve got one too. And it’s a tale of two diaries. So I go into the Situation Room in January, January 28, 2020, dawn of the pandemic. President Trump has dispatched me to argue on behalf of the China travel ban.

And I get in that room and there’s this guy sitting across from me.

Speaker 3 I’d never met him before. I didn’t know he walked on water.

Speaker 2 And immediately, I get in an argument with him. And he’s saying travel bans don’t work. And I’m saying, what the hell are you talking about? It’s like we got 20,000 Chinese coming in every day on aircraft and get... And Wuhan...

is on fire, the crematoria, you get brown clouds coming up, people are dying. And Fauci, he’s like, no, travel bans don’t work. Well, I beat him on that one, okay? We got the travel ban. But at that point, I realized two things, John, how arrogant that SOB was and how stupid. And the diary that’s been released Bobby Kennedy

ran it down on a government server.

Speaker 3 Rand Paul released it. I read every word.

Speaker 2 And what Fauci, what’s so interesting, Johnny, and I do this in the book, Why Fauci Must Rot in Prison, what Fauci’s saying often in his diary is at odds with his public behavior. I mean, he knew damn well that the vaccine might pose risks.

Speaker 3 To women in the first trimester of their pregnancy. Did he tell them?

Speaker 2 No, he told them, take the jab, it won’t hurt you. I mean, there’s so many criminal acts he was involved in in this book. And, of course, the cover-up, like January, the pandemic, he convened like a dozen of the best scientists in the world. And 10 out of 12 of them say that thing came from the lab, the Wuhan lab.

Speaker 3 In his diary, he writes that down. And then over.

Speaker 2 The ensuing weeks, he engineers a cover-up where he recruits some of those same scientists, Johnny, who he gives grants to, by the way, to say just the opposite in a prestigious magazine. And then he gets up on the stage at the White House and holds that paper up in his hand and says, And then he himself had prompted

the paper.

Speaker 1 In other words, I just want to say it again because I want people to acknowledge it. All our possible millions of listeners that he gave these scientists grants that gave them the, I guess, the pat on the back publicly because they got paid for it.

Speaker 2 The guys that wrote that, it was called the Proximal Origin Paper. They had said earlier that this thing came from the lab. The signature is man-made, right? Full stop, right? But this paper pops up in this very prestigious journal.

And at the same time, this other guy, Peter Danzig, of this thing called the EcoHealth Alliance, signs a letter with some other scientists. It goes in The Lancet, another prestigious journal. It says these things from nature. And it was Dancik who got money from Fauci and gave it to the Chinese to do this Frankenstein research. And let

me explain once more why he’s Dr. Frankenstein. Fauci is Frankenstein. He has this idea, Johnny, that if you grab a harmless bat virus, one that can’t jump to humans and kill you, and you use gain-of-function research to give it the added function of being able to jump to humans and kill you.

Speaker 3 Why would he do that? Well, he thought, well, if we do that.

Speaker 2 Then we can begin to develop better vaccines in case that actually happens in reality. I mean, you can’t make that up. And of course, what he didn’t take into account is that this thing might leak or be released by the military people inside the Wuhan lab making bioweapons. See, people either forget or never knew that that Wuhan lab

was a dual-use lab, Johnny. It was civilian research with the infamous bat lady, but they had a whole wing of that lab. And they still do, doing bioweapons. I mean, Johnny, this man who has bobbleheads in the ego, you know, it’s like, The ego of this guy is unbelievable. One of his diary entries, Johnny, starts off with how many

people have died so far. And then invariably the next thing is going to be something about what Hollywood star called a kiss his butt or what award he won. And do you know how much money he made from prizes, Johnny?

He had his staff at his agency... filing for prize money to applaud his behavior. It was like the egomaniac, money-grubbing murderer, in my opinion. Why Fauci must rot in prison. It’s in Amazon. By the way, this week I was honored that Epoch Times had a full front-page article spread in the opinion section on this. I’m just hoping folks

will buy this because here’s the theory, Johnny. If everybody in America buys and reads this book and understands Fauci, they will press their attorneys general in their states to prosecute this guy. And I show how to do that in the last couple of chapters of the book. Florida is already moving. Kansas, Missouri, there’s states that have real grievances.

It’d be nice if New York.

Speaker 3 Did it, but it won’t.

Speaker 2 But all those people who died in the nursing homes, there’s ways to go after Fauci there. But why Fauci must rot in prison?

Speaker 1 That, I will definitely read it. Is it available in audio, too?

Speaker 3 Not yet. It will be.

Speaker 2 Amazon now, in print, Kindle, come October 23rd.

Speaker 3 We’re going to have the audio out, and I’ll.

Speaker 2 Be sure and let you know. I’m an audio guy myself. I mostly listen.

Speaker 1 Well, I have a problem. I stopped flying my jets because I have a problem with my left eye, so it’s more difficult to read. So I’m an audio guy, too. But Peter Navarro, I think people should hear you. And when you plan to be in New York, we want to give you a New York book party because your

voice has to get out because this is horrible. Now, before we call all the things off on a Sunday morning, I got one more question for you. The additional question is that we both agree on what happened with the Fed chair, this week. And the fact is that this is war on Washington. It’s war on President Trump, my opinion.

War on President Trump because the people that has to pay to make things equal with the United States on trade, that equal trade for everybody want a weaker president. What say you?

Speaker 2 Johnny, you did a beautiful job yesterday explaining why Kevin Warsh raising rates was a really bad decision.

Speaker 3 You did it in lay terms.

Speaker 2 Let me do it as a PhD economist. Here’s the principle. It’s a principle of Alan Greenspan and Ben Bernanke. Never, ever raise interest rates into the teeth of an energy price shock. And the reason why you don’t do that is that an energy price shock does the work of a Fed rate hike without the hike, because it takes

money out of your pocket when you buy gasoline and diesel and things like that, and it acts as a tax. So an energy price shock is a tax on the American people that will slow down the economy, which is the same thing the Fed’s trying to achieve when it raises interest rates. You don’t do that. Now, Bernanke and

Greenspan each had the opportunity. In 1990, Greenspan faced hot war in the Middle East and doubling of oil prices. They were about $ 100 a barrel in today’s terms, interestingly enough. Greenspan not only did not raise interest rates, he held them and then lowered them.

Speaker 3 Why? He said.

Speaker 2 to Congress, you don’t raise interest rates in the teeth of an energy price shock because price shocks diminish purchasing power. So we don’t need to do that. Bernanke faced the same thing. Johnny, the Bernanke situation is almost identical to what we’re facing today. We had Iran back in 06, 07, threatening to destroy and wipe Israel off the face of

the earth, number one. We had that. absolutely promising it was going to develop nuclear weapons and refusing to stand down on that. And number three, we had Iran grabbing ships in the Strait of Hormuz and holding a British crew hostage, right?

Speaker 3 Oil prices, again, doubled.

Speaker 2 And Bernanke said, no rate hike here. That’s the wrong thing to do. And his policy was successful. So my challenge, Johnnie, And I think it’s going to be yours, too. It’s to Kevin Warsh, the chair of the Fed and the Fed itself. Tell us, Kevin Warsh, what’s different from today, from what Bernanke and Greenspan faced back in 1990 and 2007?

And if it’s not different, why the heck did you do just the opposite they did? Because their policies were successful. Yours is doomed to failure.

Speaker 1 And everybody knows that the evil empire, what we used to call it in James Bond days, the, well, what was it? In James Bond days, you know, Russia, Iran, North Korea.

Speaker 3 Axis of evil.

Speaker 1 Axis of evil. And that’s a good name, too, that they are committed to raise interest rates to make the president look bad and raise oil prices. And Walsh was taken in by them because this rise in oil prices is only temporarily. And, you know, the day after the election, President Trump said jokingly, but it’s true, the day after

the election, oil prices are going to go down. And so it’s a temporary inflation, not long-term inflation.

Speaker 2 Johnny, again, you’re absolutely right here. And therein lies the rub. And, you know, here’s what’s even worse. They’re threatening to raise them again in October. So, I mean, between now and then, I want Warsh. I want to hear Warsh explain why he’s raising interest rates into the teeth of an energy price shock. What is different about today from what Greenspan

had to deal with in 1990 and cut rates, and what Bernanke had to deal with in 2007, 2008, and cut rates didn’t raise. And I’m just, I’m deeply concerned that Warsh, it’s a gap in his training, because he should understand this. He’s supposed to be a smart guy.

He shows, he presents as a smart guy. But I’ll be honest with you. When I listened to him yesterday and then when I listened to him last month and then when I compared what he said and how it was different, there’s contradictions in those two sets of remarks that really can’t be justified. So there’s that. So let’s

stay tuned. Let’s talk more about this, Johnny.

Speaker 1 Let’s talk more about it. And thank you for getting the truth out to the American people. That’s our mission. Our mission at WABC, my personal mission is get the truth out, and I believe that’s your personal mission too.

Speaker 2 Amen, Johnny.
