Bruce Blakeman Nassau County Executive; nominee for Governor
Why New York Needs New Leadership to Reverse Years of Decline
Transcript
Automated transcript · uncorrectedWell, Sunday morning with us. Today is Bruce Blakeman, the county executive of Nassau County, but running running for governor of the state in New York. And it’s only like ninety five more days in the election. And well, Bruce Blakeman, you got the safest county in America. Will you previously told me you want to have the safest state in America.
And there’s so many problems going on right now. There’s so many New Yorkers that are angry, so many people that are moving. You tell us how you feel.
Well, every part of the state I go to John, people are miserable with Kathy Hoko. We have the highest taxes in all of America. We just passed California as the most overtaxed date. Our electric bills are seventy percent higher than national average. People are choking on their electric bills.
And we have the most pro criminal governor in America. And she is the worst governor in America. Now she’s aligned herself with Zron Mandami, anti business, anti Semitic, anti Christian, anti American. This guy is a walking disaster. Now he’s imposed a tax on people who have second homes in New York City. They’re gonna sell their homes and they’re
gonna move, and they’re gonna have a second home someplace else. So what’s gonna happen. We’re gonna lose the tax revenue. We’re gonna lose jobs and business. Think about the guy who’s just trying to run a small business, and whether you’re a carpenter, a plumber, electrician, a waiter, a waitress, a bartender, a dog walker, you’re gonna lose business because
these rich people are gonna leave. Every other state wants rich people to move there. We’re taxing them so high that basically we’re saying get out. Now. They’ve outed all these people that own homes, said how much the value their homes are, completely listed their name publicly, creating an atmosphere where now these people are living in jeopardy of
some poop killing them. It’s just bizarre how unfriendly we are to everybody in this state. And that’s why, I mean, what.
People are angry about, and are we getting phone calls into the studio, is they’re angry about they have to prove their innocent and the rule of law in the United States of America that the whether it’s the iOS or the Finance Department. They have to prove you owe it.
The burden has always been on the government. Now they’re putting the burden on homeowners to prove that it’s their main residence, their permanent residence, and not a second home. So now all these people have to scramble. They gave them less than a month. They have to scramble. They have to hire a lawyer, they have to hire an accountant.
This is absolutely bizarre. It’s as if Kathy Hoak and Zorn Mondami were on a mission to destroy the economy in New York State and the City of New York.
Well, I mean there’s a lot of people that are angry. Congestion pricing is another item that people are angry. Uh, the the situation where it looks like it’s secondary that they want to keep safety going in the streets because of the fact that that in the last year or so, a lot of those people were taken off the criminals
were taken off the streets by the federal government through you know, Jake Clayton, the US Attorney at that time, and the FBI. And because once the once the Feds got you, you went away. Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars versus if a state DA got you, you most likely went home. At the end
of the.
It doesn’t matter what you do. In the state of New York, Kathy Hochel will give you a get out of jail card. And it’s made our communities much less safe. Now she doesn’t want us to work with ICE. I removed two thousand illegal migrants from my county who were charged with things like attempted rape, murder, burglary, robbery, gang activity,
drug dealing. We got them out of this county, We got them out of this region, we got them out of this state. Now where does she want me to put these two thousand people? What community should I put it back? Put them back into and destroy those communities and make it less safe. And the fact that the matter, John,
is you talked about congestion pricing. This is the ultimate tax on the middle class. You are paying attacks just for the privilege of driving on a public road that you already paid for. John, you got two minutes. Can I tell you a quick story about a young man I met?
Absolutely So.
I’m taking the train from the city back to Long Island, and people are coming up to me in the train and they’re congratulating me, and they’re saying they’re behind me. And this African American gentleman is sitting across the aisle from me, and he said to me, who are you?
And I said, I’m Bruce Blakeman. I’m running for governor. He goes, well, let me ask you one question. I said sure. He said, are you for congestion pricing or against it? I said I’m against it. I want to end it. And he said to me that I’m voting for you because I’ve got to get up an hour
earlier and take the train. I used to take my car into the city. Now I can’t afford to, so I have two jobs. I have to be at work at five o’clock in the morning. I used to leave my house at four am, Now I got to leave it at three am. I am so upset with Hochal
and Mandami you got my vote, and that’s the feeling out there. People have had enough. She has made us miserable. He has made us miserable, and we need to restore common send and we got to make people happy again.
We got to put New Yorkers first, not spend all our money on illegal migrants. That money should go for New Yorkers. It’s their money and they should tell their elected officials how they want it spent.
One hundred percent, one hundred percent right, Bruce Blakeman, keep fighting for all New Yorkers. And we love New York. You love New York. We all love New York. And we want New York to survive and do to and we want all our citizens to enjoy living in New York.
Helps on the way, John, go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com if you want to contribute to my campaign volunteer. We’d love to have you on this mission to save our state
