Massive volcano off the coast of Oregon.
Transcript
Automated transcript · uncorrectedSunday morning, the first Sunday of the new year. With us today is doctor Sky, my friend Steve Kates, and well, Steve, it’s the new year. What great things you have in store for us today?
Well, John, of course, good Happy New Year to each and every one of you out there listening to the Cats Roundtable. But John, last month we spoke about a rather serious volcanic eruption off the coast of California on the Richter scale, about a seven point whatever, and there were many theories. One was that that wasn’t a signature
of a normal type of you know, earthquake, but that it had the signature look alike of that of a nuclear explosion. No confirming information on that. But here’s something even more interesting as we move into twenty twenty five.
There are things in the ocean geologically called under sea volcanoes, and there’s one literally that’s been somewhat active off the coast of Oregon called the Axial Seamount, about three hundred miles off the coast of Oregon. Now, geologists are concerned, John, because it’s been showing some seismic and some you know magma output, meaning the stuff that’s too hot that you
don’t want to touch like you see in those Hawaiian volcanoes. Well, it’s reminiscent John Off. Something that happened a couple of years ago. Many people may have not known this. There was something called the Hunger Tonga under sea volcano which erupted back on January fifteenth of twenty twenty two in the South Pacific. Why is that important because it sent
john two point four cubic miles of rock into the atmosphere thirty six miles into space and today is still the largest atmospheric explosion in modern times. And not to alarm people, but the similar type of situation is literally brewing off the coast there of Oregon. No date of course when that could happen, and certainly we hope it
doesn’t happen in well many lifetimes. But isn’t that fascinating? Obviously Mother Nature is never still, and the changes on Earth are constant.
And changes on Earth are constant in heaps good going on for a billion years, a four billion years, and in our lifetime it’s in irrelevant. Is that a good way? Well?
I think it is, though, not to put our lives down, but let’s say this, like former President Jimmy Carter lived to a one hundred years. We marked that as a great look for anyone. But in the cosmic sense, John, you know, the universe they say, and even still this may not be accurate was formed thirteen point seven billion
years ago to our lifespans. That’s why obviously they wish it hopefully learn how to all get along, right it. That’s this minuscule in the cosmic sense.
What’s going on in the rest of the universe.
Well, John, we have a mystery of the week and it relates back to what we talked about. More geologically. You know, there’s theoretically and this geologists say that there’s a new ocean actually forming. It’ll be the sixth Ocean.
But this may take millions of years. But what’s important about this, it’s actually forming in Africa. There’s a thirty five mile wide crack in Ethiopium, and there’s three of these tectonic plates. This is what makes the Earth, you know, a living being, if you want to call it. The obvious difference between Earth and other planets. The Earth has
tectonic plates moving constantly, causing earthquakes and volcanoes. So what’s going to happen is the plates are opening up at the Red Sea. So in the future the Red Sea will become a much bigger sea, and there’ll be in the area in northern Africa, which may, of course, as we’re talking about, open up the possibility of a large
ocean up in the northern portions of Africa. Again, the Earth is constantly on the move, just something that we let people know about because these are what mysteries that we don’t understand, but we keep our minds open and we expand them. At least I know we do here by discussing that. So there’s many, many great things happening
here on the Earth and.
Sky, you know, Steve in the New Year on a Sunday morning, we just do a little bit of thinking. Is the planet Earth is a living It’s a living entity and keeps making changes. And it’s still very hard to visualize how it keeps making changes and it’s self sustaining.
In other words, if an adjustment is needed, the planet Earth does it. And it’s just mind boggling. I mean, you know, the real mind boggling is when every drop of water that we had a billion years ago or one hundred million years ago still exists. It just recycles itself.
It just recycles itself. It’s not you know, it just goes up into the air and it’s cleansed and it comes down as fresh water.
You’re right, John, And if you accumulated all the fresh water on the Earth, some say that the whole thing, if you could put it together in a big ball, would be a volume of less than eight hundred miles.
So it’s precious. But like you and I always talk about, is they’re a doctor in the house. The Earth obviously doesn’t have to have one, whatever plan or medical plan the Earth has. Being not foolish, we obviously have a replenishing Earth and that’s a blessing, a big blessing compared to other planets, John, like Mars, and just to jump
real quickly.
And I don’t want to be like the Europeans in fourteen hundred that believe the planet Earth was flat, so that people, you know what I say, some of these environmentalists that don’t know what they’re talking about. You know, we all want to be as good as possible. But the environmentalists that don’t know what they’re talking about is
like the people in fourteen hundred with that told Columbus he’s going to fall off the flat Earth.
Absolutely terrible, verifiable facts. John, And just a closing comment. We always give the listener to something to look forward to, and we’re talking about now the Earth and it’s geology and replenishment. But the month of January is the month of Mars. Want if you look in the northeast sky just around ten o’clock, that big, bright, orange red ball
is the planet Mars. The next per exploration as many say, like Elon Musk, but John, the difference in the whole chemistry and geology of the two planets is amazing and an amazing skyview, which we’ll talk about in detail. Next week.
Is the full moon of the thirteenth of January. For all viewers across the nation or wherever the Cats round table is now heard everywhere, we’ll be able to see the moon, a full wolf moon, John, covering up and eclipsing the planet Mars. Isn’t that amazing? Mars will be at its closest point to us at that point in time.
Quite amazing, Doctor sky Steve. Anything new with the Chinese, I mean it looks like those drones could be Chinese. That’s what some of our government people are telling us, are they that far advanced in us on those drones?
Well, John always truth in reporting here on your show, in any other place were talking about that does talk about this, But from my perspective, they are really more sophisticated in this technology. Now, many people may take, you know, take a little bit of revulsion to that and say, no, no, no, we have better technology. But John, if you look at it,
if you look at the commercial market of drones, if you’ve then to go out to an electronics store, majority of those drones are made in China. That’s a very low end but still reliable, you know, iteration of technology.
So yes, you’re right. I think they’re way more advanced than us in this point in time. And let’s help that with our great scientists and people of course that have the know of technology that we learn to move forward.
But the biggest area that China is working on, not just to go away from drones, is they have a very sophisticated hypersonic aircraft and rocket program, and many allege, I’m not saying I can confirm this, many allege that they simply copy our designs. But espionage is probably a big factor in how some of that technology was gone.
Not to say that they don’t have smart people, but the reality is we need to step it up up and at least show the same effort towards the development of these great technologies. And John, Yes, it’s a great thing.
Is looking forward of course to being with you and part of this great radio team and being your correspondent on these events in the heavens. And we tell people that always go to the Doctor Sky Experience at WABC radio dot com the more detailed information on many of the subjects we talk about. So happy New Year to you,
your family, the listeners, and of course let’s pray for peace and happiness in this world in twenty twenty five.
