Speaker 1 Sunday morning, fourth of July weekend. Well, we’re worried about New York City. What is going to happen with us this morning? Is Fernando Montel. He is the spokesman for the United Bodegas of America. And. We are standing by the maybe go socialist in New York City. And you know, Fernando, you know what somebody said to me. The definition of a socialist is a

communist without a gun. Fernando, tell me where, where where do we stand in New York?

Speaker 2 Well, listen, New York City is a city of immigrants. It’s a city where immigrants have come to establish themselves, to create wealth for their families and to help their families back home. New York City is not a social city.

It’s a city that has bloomed because Asians, Indians, you name it, have come to this country to open up small businesses like bodega’s, like driving a cab. Driving a cab is really owning your own little business. And if you look at the amount of different nationalities that drive cabs in New York, it probably touches every part of

the world. Bodega owners are owned by hard working people that have come here to build their lives, build their businesses. So there’s no way that they would come to a city that’s socialists that’s going to prevent them from progressing.

They left, in many cases, socialist countries because they don’t work, because poverty has drained them, and they’ve come to New York to look for a better life. You know, New York has an amazing future. But right now there’s a movement that basically is dominating the airwaves, which is a socialist that’s running for mayor of the City of New York.

We have a great mayor in Eric Adams. I don’t understand why anyone’s excited about a socialist coming to New York and basically making all of us poor. Again, this is what socialism is. It’s let’s be poor.

Speaker 1 Isn’t ever what for Dell Castro did to Cuba? Isn’t that what Cuba Chavez did the Venezuela make.

Speaker 2 Never mind poor, listen, never mind them. They’re a disaster. New York City will never be what Cuba or Venezuela is. It’s just not going to happen. What the people of New York need to know and understand is how do we overcome this and not let it happen again. Of course, we need the president’s help, you know, we need the

President to basically, you know, tell Curtis leewa Hey drop out of the race, give the line to Eric Adams. We need for New Yorkers to realize that the lowest crime rates right now in New York City belongs to Eric Adams. Of course he has had his problems, but his problems were politically motivated. They weren’t motivated by corruption.

They were motivated by politics, and that’s terrible. John. We need to make sure that Eric wins. Andrew Cormo should not be on the ballot. He’s just dividing. He’s a divider, he’s a hater. He is someone that hates New York and loves himself. If these two people were to drop out, and Eric Adams had the support of every New Yorker,

there’s no way that we could lose, and we will. I’ll tell you, we won’t have a hard time if we don’t have these two changes happen almost immediately. So I would ask our president, which I respect and I can’t for, to basically come to New York support Eric Adams, ask Curtis to drop out offer him some kind of

position somewhere and let’s move forward together. Republicans must unite behind Eric. Moderate Democrats need to unite behind Eric conservative Democrats as well, and definitely independence. You know, we know that Cuoma will not beat Mandani. We know that he already destroyed him in the primaries. So why is this guy lingering in the elections? Why is why does he

want to be a spoiler for all New Yorkers? Guys, Let’s wake up. Let’s understand. You know, we have a good opportunity here to keep a guide that loves the Jews, loves Hispanics, loves black people, loves everybody in New York.

There’s no division here. Okay, that’s what we need in New York right now, John.

Speaker 1 Well, Fernando, I agree with you. You know I came from the same places you came from. I came from Harlem, you came from the Bronx. I mean, we love New York and we’re not gonna let you know. I believe in immigration, and we want immigrants that want to work seventy hours a week and pledge allegiance to the United

States of America, not people that hate America.

Speaker 2 John, I respect you so much. You have no idea, and I told you for many years you’re a mentor to us, the immigrants to get what you’ve gotten and come up from nothing as an example of what capitalism can be. Okay, but you endorsed Erek Adams, you support Eric Adams. You know what we should all focus on

what you’re doing to help this city grow and move forward. And I asked every brotherly Republican out there, because I am a Republican, to come out and vote for a winner. Don’t throw your vote away. You know we need your vote in order to win. If you vote for anyone other than Eric Adams, you are throwing your vote towards Zorah,

towards Mondonnie. That’s who you’re giving your vote to. So let’s consolidate our votes, give it to the person that we know has the best chance to defeat Mondonnie, and let’s move forward with Eric. That’s what this is about, you know. So please, if anyone cares out there, come out make sure that you vote for Eric so that

we do not lose this city to a socialist. That’s all I really have to say.

Speaker 1 I agree with one hundred percent. Thank you so much for coming on and happy ud July, work in July. God bless your wife. Thank you, blessed
