Speaker 1 Sunday morning, Independence Weekend. Well with us today? Is a Canadian. He’s Premier Douglas Fort of Ontario, and he’s also the Chairman of the Provinces, which is a chairman of the board of the rest of the Provinces. Well, doug Ford, it’s American United States Independence Day? How does Canada feel about that? How does Canada look upon that?

Speaker 2 We love the Americans. I love the American people. I spent many, many years, twenty years celebrating the fourth down there. I want to wish everyone happy forth. And you’re absolute champions. I appreciate our friendship, our relationship, and John, I appreciate you because you’re a champion. You know, here there’s a socialist going to be possibly elected in New York. That

would be the biggest mistake for not only New York, but New York State and the entire entire country. So let’s make sure we don’t met that socialist in there, that’s for sure.

Speaker 1 Well, we’ve been working very hard in New York to make sure we have common sense. I see, I don’t care regardless of a Democrat or Republican in New York, but I care about having common sense and not going the socialist way. I’ve said to people that Castro, this gentleman, wants to become the Castro of New York. And you

know what Castro did to Cuba, and you know what happened in Venezuela with Hugo Chavez.

Speaker 2 Yeah, I don’t even know if the guys held the job. Man, it’s unbelievable.

Speaker 1 Well, he’s never had He had a job as an assemblyman with five people in his office. And the fact is that he wants to be chairman of General Motives. I mean because New York City has one hundred billion dollar budget, So what experiences he have to do that?

Speaker 2 No, he doesn’t, he doesn’t. All the people have to get out and vote and hopefully they’ll vote for someone.

Speaker 1 Now, Doug a Premier Ford. We know that Canada is dealing with the United States on trade agreements, and I just want to know your feeling and how things are going. Well.

Speaker 2 I spoke to the ambassador this morning. The US ambassador a great guy, and July to twenty first is the day we’re supposed to be striking a deal. But you never know. But in the best interest of both countries and what’s going on around the world, we need to stick together, and we’re so much stronger when we stick together.

I called the amcan Fortress American Canadian fortress. You put a ring around that protect ourselves against the people that don’t like us and people that want to take advantage of us economically. And that’s China, China, and then we have all the other, all the other nonsense going on over in Iran. It’s terrible, you know. But the President,

I’ll tell you one thing. The President made the right decision to hit Iran because if not, they’d be having a nuclear weapon very very soon. So I support him in that.

Speaker 1 Yes, he is doing the right thing. I think he’s doing a good job keeping the free world free, and that’s right. And he has said to me that he that he wants to combine with Canada on energy, because between Canada and the United States, I think we’re unbeatable as far as energy.

Speaker 2 With energy, we’re leading the world nuclear energy in the G seven. We have something called small modular reactors. We’re shipping energy down. We want to ship more energy down. I’ve had governors up to our nuclear facilities and we’re just expanding the nuclear facility. The other area that’s very critical that China has cornered the market is the rare

earth minerals or critical minerals, whatever you want to call them. We have more rare earth minerals and critical minerals than anyone in the world. I’ve put a law in that we cannot sell anything to China, and there’s only one one country I want to give them to send them to is that’s the United States. And I love the US,

I love the people, but we got to strike a deal. Because I’ll be very upfront with you, the Canadians are getting frustrated right now. They just want President Trump to strike a deal. Let’s put this behind us, Let’s have certainty, and let’s grow. We’re unstoppable when we’re together, we all agree.

Speaker 1 Tell us about electric vehicles, how are they going on in Canada, because it’s a little bit of a stalemate in the United States, and what’s happening with them in Canada.

Speaker 2 Well, you know, on the electric vehicles, the previous federal government, Prime Minister Trudeau. I didn’t see how to eye with him, but he put a mandate in two thousand and thirty five. That’s not realistic. Let the market dictate, don’t let the government dictate. The market should dictate, and hopefully our new Prime minister, with a little bit of nudging on my

behalf and some others, he’ll get rid of that mandate and then the market will dictate on if people want a regular gas run vehicle or maybe some people want the electric God bless them, but let the people decide, not government.

Speaker 1 I agree one and ten percent. What are the categories can we talk about on a Sunday.

Speaker 2 Morney, Well, we can talk and we talked about the energy, which is important. We’ve talked about the minerals, which is important, but our security as well. You know, with NATO we’re increasing the funding. I also believe in the Golden doll per se they’re asking sixty one billion. I’m a strong believer in that because anyone who says no, you wait

a few years down the road, there’ll be China that will have the dome and we won’t. So we have to start building security and protecting both countries, and we needed to do it as quickly as possible because we see what happens over in Iran when they start shooting missiles and we got to shoot them down. I don’t

trust them whatsoever, by the way, so we got to get They need a regime change there. That’s what I believe in simple because ninety percent of the Iranian people, they’re good people. They don’t want the dictator there. They want a change, and the change has to come within within.

Speaker 1 I guess, whether it’s China, whether it’s Iran, it’s the dictators that are that are in charge. They’re in nair cohorts versus ninety percent of the Chinese people and of the Iranian people.

Speaker 2 That’s right, No, they have the Iranians. I have a young population. I know a lot of Persians. I like being called Persians here in Canada. They want to change there. They’re in desperate. The problem is John the dictator has all the weapons. You know, ten percent of their population have the weapons. The ninety percent don’t have the weapons.

And if you protest, the university kids go out there and protest, they all get killed. That’s the problem we’re facing. So maybe Israel do everyone a favor?

Speaker 1 Understood? Anything else you want to tell you American people on Fourth of July weekend.

Speaker 2 Well, God bless America. I love each and every one of you. And like I said, I celebrated the fourth for twenty years down there with my kids mostly in Chicago, and just we have the greatest two countries in the world.

We need to stick together. We need to get this deal done, and no one will be able to stop us, no one.

Speaker 1 I agree. I agree, Premier Doug Fort of carry Out. Thank you so much. And God bless you. God bless America. When I say God bless America, well I believe United States and Canada are part of North America and we’re all in it, in the same boat together. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 Yeah, thank you, John. We just celebrated Canada Day yesterday, so July one, July fourth, we’re in a big celebration here. So anyways, my friend, you take care. Make sure you don’t elect the Socialists in New York. Itud be a disaster and I can’t wait to pay you a visit look forward. Thank you, Take care, take care,
