And this week was the State of the Union. Well, janew Piro, did Judge tell us what did you think to the State of the Union.
Well, I think the State of the Union was an interesting end to an interesting week where you know, we had the Super Tuesday and then we had Super Thursday Night with the President. And I must tell you my whole career, John, I’ve been into politics. I love politics.
I love the State of the Union. And for me, the State of the Union has always been about my being proud of being an American. And ever since I was in college. I mean I would stand up and cheer, and it really didn’t matter, John, whether you were a Republican or a Democrat. It was about America and it
was about celebrating this great, this melting pot that we all you know, call home. But the State of the Union last Thursday night was a I saw an ang He was an amped up, angry man who wasn’t reporting on the state of our Union, but was instead so divisive and cantankerous and so ready to prove that he’s
going to run in the twenty twenty four election that it turned into what was supposed to be a proud moment for all Americans into a campaign battle speech. And I was really disturbed by it. John, You know, aside from all the partisan politics, that is the one speech where all Americans should be able to come together as
being part of the greatest nation on earth. But instead, you know, we had a president who started out with Ukraine instead of our border and went after his predecessor what it thirteen times and instead of standing up and sharing, I sat there stunned, and you know, if everything was so great in this country, you know, why was he
so angry? But the thing that got me really fired up was the fact that, you know, he was going to take care of everything that was happening to him, instead of recognizing that he actually is the one that is causing things to happen. Whether you know, he says, you know, I’m taking down the deficit that I inherited. No,
the truth is you had an inflation Reduction Act, and you put in all kinds of money into the economy that put us into debt you caused the problem. You continue to give gift card to illegals, and you know, now we want to talk about you know, we got to get more pell grants. What so you can then
forgive the college tuitioning program brands that you’ve been forgiving, but you’re not even forgiving them. You’re pushing them on to another part of society so that we get to pay for the student loan debts of other people. And you know, he talks about a two state solution. We had a two state solution and we had a ceasefire.
And that’s when Hamas started with you know, the October eleventh massacre massacre. And more than anything, John, the disturbing part of this is that now he wants to build something in Gaza that to me, it worries me more.
I have shades of Lebanon with the Marines instead of and I am Lebanese. I’m of one hundred percent decent.
Bet was the most beautiful city in the world, I understand, and now it almost doesn’t exist.
It almost doesn’t exist. I was there about eight years ago. It is a mess. It is destroyed as well as taken over. But you know, the whole idea of you know, maybe marines setting up a port in Gaza. What do you think is going to happen? Well, over one hundred troops in Syria and Iraka were attacked while you know,
our Secretary of Defense forgot to put in a you know, an outstick note, and the administration looked the other way. What do you think is going to happen there? When we send marines over there for this, you know, this port in in Gaza. I mean, it’s going to be a message shades of Lebanon. To satisfy the people in
dearborn Michigan. He says, we’re not putting boots on the ground, you know, let’s hope not. But you know, the man is no so in.
Your opinion, he is doing that just to just for the voters in Michigan.
That yeah, he’s appeasing the voters in dearborn Michigan. It’s as simple as that. And this two state solution we had it. He’s not coming up with anything, but he’s blaming everybody but himself. And now we’re going to put our troops in harm’s way yet again when they turn the other cheek. And then he refuses to close the border,
and and you know when when he put out ninety four executive orders and now he’s saying it’s Congress’s fault. You know, Congress has to act. No, you caused the problem. Congress didn’t cause this problem. And you know it was just it was just very disappointing.
And why what are you going to talk about at eleven o’clock during your regular show for a whole hour.
Well, we’re going to talk about the state of the Union because I think it sets the stage for the twenty twenty four election. He’s gout Hogan Gidley, who’s a deputy press secretary during the Trump years. And we got Joe Kancha, who is a brilliant political fatirist and someone that I’m a huge fan of. And we’re going to
talk about this, and we’re going to talk about the fact that you know, the president, you know, is great when he can read a script. You know, the left is all excited he made it through one hour, But the truth is whenever he went off script, even calling Lincoln Riley, Lincoln Riley mumbling his sentences if he’s not
on script. So it’s going to be a tough eight months going forward, but we’re ready for it.
John, I’ll be listening. I’ll be listening at eleven o’clock on WABC radio, dot com, uh and worldwide. You’re on worldwide in one hundred and seventy three countries and fifty states.
Thank you, Thanks for the plug, John, Thanks for having.
Me on seas. Bye bye
