Automated transcript · uncorrectedWith us today is Senator Tom Cotton from the great state of Arkansas. And so many things are happening in our country. I really don’t know where to start anymore. Well, Senator, thank you for coming on again. And where would you like to start in this big mess?
Well, John, we all saw the President State of the Union the other night, and it was barely recognizable to the country I see around me here in Arkansas and all across the country, because Joe Biden is trying to gloss over all of his failures for making American families spend more and everything from food to gas to rent
and mortgage payments, the fact that he totally totally opened their border in the first week of his presidency and invited ten million illegal migrants in their country, or that he’s turned America into a laughing stock around the world.
If you are to listen to what Joe Biden said State and you would think that that one everything is just peachy caine in America, and two, to the extend it not. It’s all the Republicans’ fault. The American people know different, though, and that’s why Joe Biden has record of disapproval numbers and on the path to losing maybe
in a landslide to Donald Trump later this year.
I really really couldn’t believe some of his proposals. I mean, it’s just mind boggling. What do you think he’s gonna do with Iran? I mean, uh, it’s just uh, you know, we talked about it, about the possibility that Iran. Uh, we gave him enough money, We gave him enough oil money to be able to buy an atomic bomb or
nuclear bomb, forget about making it. They can buy it.
Yeah. Well, unfortunately, I think he’s gonna do very litt without a run, because that’s all he’s done in the day he took office, except to appease Iran and coddle them, encourage and embolden the kind of attack you saw in Israel on October seventh, for the tax we’ve seen on our troops in Syria and Iraq r on one sixth
of all international shipping in the Red Sea by a bunch of outlaw rebels supported by Iran in Yemen. Frankly, if you were to look what Joe Biden’s Iran policy was in October six and compared to today, you wouldn’t even see a change. Joe Biden continues to give Irn billions of dollars of sanctions, continues to look the other
way when they violate sanctions on oil shipments. All this does is supercharge are on support for terrorism throughout the Middle East and put at risk American lives and our friends across the region.
Well, the big, even the bigger problem now is what’s going on in the Red Sea with the hoodies who I ran as funding. I mean, they sunk that British vote and now a couple of days ago they shot a few of the seamen and another one to me, it’s costing. The price of oil cannot go down unless
there’s peace in the Red Sea, and the price of food can’t go down if there is in peace. Don’t they realize it?
Well, the rest is critical to America’s economy. Almost one six of all global maritime traffic ghosts there. You’re going to see higher prices for food stuffs and for oil eventually if we allow others to continue. The right kind of solution is what Ronald Reagan did when Iran tried to shut down shipping through the Persian Gulf at nineteen
eighty eight, he sank half of their navy and iron got the picture and stopped that right away. Unfortunately, President Biden doesn’t want to do that. He’s got this continued fear of escalation, as he puts it, and all that does is encourage our enemies to escalate a givest us and put us at greater risk.
And that gives us a big problem. I’ve been talking to food distributors. The price of containerships has increased tremendously, double or triple sometimes so that the price of oil go up, it makes the price of food go up.
And the truth is, I don’t know what the Power is going to do with interest rate.
Yeah, I think that’s right, John. Even if it’s not stuff going through the Red Sea. Let’s say it’s trade that we have with Europe or Latin America or Asia. The global price of shipping containers and insurance and similar things is going to go up, which means prices are going to go up again for Americans. And that also
means that it’s going to force the Fed to probably keep interest rates higher for longer, making Americans pay more for things like their mortgage or for car loans or what have you.
So does that mean that Biden’s big plan for November. Bringing down the price of oil, bringing down the price of food, bringing down interest rates. It’s working against them right now.
It is like so many as is so often case, Joe Biden, his policies are working at cross purposes with each other, and they’re both wrong. So you have Joe Biden’s desire to bring down prices from the inflation he caused by spending troicion dollars we don’t have yet. His weakness around the world is creating bottlenecks that are going
to drive up crisis.
Understood, uh, Senator? What else is on your mind? Sunday morning? The American people are sitting around the coffee table having a cup of coffee. What’s going to make a difference to them in November.
One thing that we haven’t touched on any great depth yet, John’s you just can’t discuss enough is the crisis at our border. You may be pretty far away from the Mexican border. We’re a little bit closer in Arkansas, but we’re not on the border. But when you have ten million million on migrants crossing to our country under Joe Biden,
every state is a border state, Every city is a border city. And you see the consequences there in New York City with thousands of migrants being bussed in, and the strain that it puts on housing and healthcare and public services like education. All this would stop if Joe Biden would just reverses disastrous policy to the border. But
because his party is so ideologically invested in open borders, I don’t expect him to change, even though it’s become the number one issue for most Americans when you ask them what concerns the most, and they should be concerned about it.
In addition, things got worse last week, Senator. Then there were some revelations that President Biden was arranged. They were there floads worth of migrants coming in to one hundred different airports, and they estimate three hundred and thirty thousand migrants came in through aviation through airports. And I understand there was a website that you could apply for asylum
and they fly you in. What’s that all about?
Flying like that’s all around the country because and not even telling the states and local jurisdictions. They’re doing so because they don’t want the bad images of thousands of migrants waiting at our border. Again, it’s not designed to stop the flow of immigration. It’s designed to accelerate the flow and make it more efficient and less unseemly. That’s
where Joe Biden’s priorities are.
Agreed. Agreed so migration, price of food, the price of oil, our education system is in the crappa. I don’t know what else to say. I mean, what else should I say?
You should say that we need to make sure that we all get out to vote in November and elect not just Donald Trump to the White House, but elect a Republican Senate and a Republican House. And all your listeners up in a brighter metro area in New York City have a chance to do that as well. In fact,
the difference between a Republican House and Democratic House may come from your Republican congressman and congressman from New York.
Well sell it to Tom Cotton. Thank you for working so hard for America and whatever we can do to help, please let us know. And w ABC is out there trying to get the message out that America must survive, but the Americans survive. We’ve got to make sure we make the right decisions in November. Thank you.
