Speaker 1 Sunday morning with us as Mario Economo basically a European based friend and our correspondent. He’s a former banker. He worked in New York, London and Zurich, a large money cent to banks, and he was born on the other side.

Where were you born, Mario.

Speaker 2 So, I was born in the Middle East and I was raised there, and I spent time in Europe going to high school, and then I came to the United States of America to go to university, worked and then worked my way back to Europe and kept working there.

Speaker 1 So give us your posts. What the heck is going on in Europe. There’s so many problems all over the place, and I understand a president Trump, President elect Trump is headed for France. Give us your reading.

Speaker 2 Yeah, So, as everybody has seen the news, the government in France essentially has collapsed. President Macroan now is in the process of putting together a new government. The situation there is not good. The Euro itself, the currency is going to come under a lot of pressure. I said several weeks ago that I expected the Euro to have

ten more years and the European Union maybe fifteen if it was lucky. But depending on what developments are in France and what happens with respect to the government there. The reality is the euro is on very shaky ground.

There are a lot of reasons for this. We’re not going to get into them this morning. What’s interesting is the collapse in France comes even though France itself has not been affected by the energy crisis as much as the rest of the European Union has. The idea and the reason being that France is very heavily invested in

nuclear energy, which it produces itself, so therefore energy is not the underlying factor. The underlying factor continues to be the discontent people have, not only in France but across Europe with respect to what the people in Brussels, where the European Union headquarters are the policies that they’re taking, the people across the board in Europe are against them.

If we look at what happened in Romania in the first round of the presidential elections there there was a gentleman by the name of Giorgescu who actually won. He was only polling in the polls at five percent, and then he actually came in second and with a huge difference between what the polls were saying, and what he

actually saw on election day. They tried to challenge this. They tried, they being the different parties in Romania, saying that there was election interference, but the Romanian con Constitutional Court actually upheld and validated the first round result. So he’s now in the second round, which is actually going to be today on Sunday, and we’ll see how it go.

But his views with respect to what he’d like to see happening in Romania is Romania first. He’s actually wants to have a peace with Russia. He actually wants to work with Russia. He actually believes in Christianity and the fact that Christianity should be an underlying theme in the country of Romania. So whereas everybody in the polls was

saying this guy didn’t stand the hope, any hope, or any chance of winning, he actually pulled an incredible win by coming in second and being now in the second round of the election in Romania. But once again we see there the people are saying the same thing. They don’t want to go to war with Russia. They don’t

want to fight to save quote unquote save the Ukraine. People are interested in their own lives and everybody wants to start seeing the politicians in their country putting their own countries’ interests first before they start putting things like the European Union’s interests in the United States United States’ interests first.

Speaker 1 And Zarinsky in Ukrainian is trying to befriend all of a sudden, he’s trying to befriend Trump. Where’s he up to?

Speaker 2 Yeah, so I wish mister Zelenski lock he’s actually polling. I suspect he’s even polling below what the last polls on President Biden in the United States were. Nobody wants him in the Ukraine. People are tired of the war.

They all want a settlement with Russia. What’s going to happen now? My understanding is mister Blincoln in the US has asked mister Zelenski to actually lower the age at which young men can be drafted to go to the army.

It’s been up until now it’s been twenty five or older, and mister Blincoln would like to see him lower that age. The reason the Ukrainians don’t want to lower the age is because once they do that and they start drafting eighteen year olds, they’re going to essentially lose a whole generation of people, because most of these kids, because they

are kids, are going to die on the front and mister Zelenski knows that. So it’s kind of bizarre that the United States, under the current administration, which only has another maybe month and a half, if even that, wants this war to continue and wants to see more people die in the Ukraine.

Speaker 1 I really don’t want keep the wars going because it doesn’t help anybody. The Russian people are dying, the Ukrainian people are dying, and well, I guess we can wait and see what happens when President Trump lands in France later on today. I guess.

Speaker 2 Yes, he’s there for the opening of the church, the Notre Dame church that caught fire caught fire, and he’s actually been invited. It’s a very difficult time for mister mccron. Of course, he has to entertain the President elect, and he has to keep a bold face. But the reality is France is not in a good place, and as

a result, given what’s going on in Germany as well, Europe generally speaking, is not in a good place. I’d like to switch to Syria if we may. There’s been a lot of talk in the news about what’s going on there and who’s supporting whom and what the different sides are. I think it’s important to point out that

there were two events that happened that week when the Jihades actually started attacking in Aleppo. Two events happened that week. There was the Israeli ceasefire with Hibola, and there was also a visit by mister Rute to Turkier that’s Turkey for you folks in America. He visited with Turkey. We know that they discussed all sorts of things NATO. But

it’s interesting that right after his visit and after the Israeli in his bull of ceasefire, these jihadists in northern Syria started coming across and engaging in what are horrifying acts once again, rape, torture, beheadings, and they’re actually killing a lot of Christians. There are roughly one million Greek Christian Greek Orthodox Christians in Syria and a lot of

them are literally fearing for their lives. But what is happening and why is this happening? There are rumors, they have not been confirmed, that the Turkish intelligence services and the Israeli intelligence services, even though Turkey and Israel no longer recognize each other as countries actually spoke to each other, and Turkey essentially got Israel’s blessing. Now, this has not

been confirmed by any side, but a lot of people are reporting on this and saying it has happened. And the idea is that Turkey is interested in making sure that it carves out the north of Syria for itself in a world where we’re starting to see borders shifting. Uh.

The Turks have said and believe that northern Syria and specifically Aleppo have historically been Turkish, and therefore we’ve seen a lot of these rebels, these jihadists, who by the way, are actually what used to be Al Qaeda in Syria putting up Turkish flags in Aleppo. They’ve caught many of these jihadis who’ve been killed with Turkish money in their pockets,

and they’ve intercepted communications between them wherein they’re actually speaking Turkish. So it’s very interesting that that these things are happening.

Speaker 1 We have one big f and mess.

Speaker 2 It’s a mess. It’s going to be very interesting to see how President elect Trump is going to handle this. I think by the time he becomes president, and given the this did catch the Russians by supprise eyes that caught the Iranians by surprise. There’s a lot of talk that President Urgon, who was actually speaking to Iran and

to Russia, has essentially backstabbed both of them, and both of them won’t forgiven for this. And we’ve seen that, for example, the shia I based militias in Iraq have actually sent soldiers. The Kurds have sent roughly one hundred and thirty thousand soldiers to fight against these ario.

Speaker 1 Thank you. We’re at a time, but would you keep keeping us informed and just text us when you know something is going on.

Speaker 2 Okay, thank you, enjoy your day. Thank you.
