Speaker 1 Sunday morning with us is Senator Marshall Blackburn from the great State of Tennessee, and we’re going to get an update on what’s going on in our country. Santa Blackburn, It’s Sunday morning. People are sitting around having their coffee.

What what are we going to update them with?

Speaker 2 Yes? And you know what I want them to know is we were so pleased to get number nineteen of the President’s confirmations done this week. That was getting cash Patel across the finish line and getting him sworn in so that he is now our nation’s director of the FBI.

He is going to do an outstanding job. This next week, I hope that we’re able to finish Linda McMahon’s confirmation and get her in place at the Department of Education. In addition to that, we’re continuing to work through dose.

And you know what, John, I’ve got to tell you, the American people are so into this. Everywhere I go in Tennessee, people are saying, look at this, look at that, Look here for a savings. They’re calling our office, they’re sending us emails, and they’re very excited about the potential of DOZE.

Speaker 1 Well, tell people what those sensible because not everybody knows.

Speaker 2 You know, it’s the Department of Government Efficiency and DOGE are the it’s the acronym, so we call it doze, and I’m turning doge into a verb. We are dozing departments, We have dozed certain areas, We’re continuing to dooze areas.

So I think that’s the best way for us to look at it.

Speaker 1 And when I said to Rita the other day on my five o’clock show, I said, every state, shaid, do that state by state by state and clean out some of the waste that is them.

Speaker 2 Well, you’re exactly right about that. Because with President Trump’s term as president, the first two years are going to focus on getting things straight in DC and sending power, authority and money back to the states. The second two years of his administration will focus on what the states do with that power and authority for healthcare, education, benefits, regulation,

and we want them to be successful because that is how we’re going to cement President Trump’s the legacy and the legacy of the pardon me, of the conservative movement.

Speaker 1 And when I said to President Trump, and I was with him last week Marrogo last Saturday night, I said, to him, the number one thing that we have to do the first two years before the next election is to make sure one American, one vote and to be able to stop or any American people need confidence that

their vote is going to count.

Speaker 2 Yes, indeed, now I think I got a lot of that confidence this election when they saw President Trump win both the electoral College and the popular vote.

Speaker 1 That was excellent, except we lost California by three million votes. But Governor Newsom has told everybody, make sure you don’t ask if their citizens or not, just vote.

Speaker 2 And what we want to do is put an end to that. It’s not fair for the citizens of this country to know that their vote is being diminished by someone that is illegally in the country and is casting a vote.

Speaker 1 One hundred percent sure, Sunday morning, we got a couple of minutes left. What else? Who want to tell you American people?

Speaker 2 We have passed our budget in the Senate. This will put money into the border wall, into energy, into the military, and provide the basis for our first reconciliation bill. We’re looking forward to getting that finished, getting it through the House into the President’s desk.

Speaker 1 Now, if you see Elon Musk wants to give a dividend to the people of the task pays in the United States based on recovering money on those we’re recovering money that’s been wasted and give back twenty percent as a dividend. Well, can you tell them to give it back as a tip instead of a dividend. That way

it’s tax free.

Speaker 2 I think that’s pardon me, that’s a great idea.

Speaker 1 Yeah, a tip for the American people.

Speaker 2 I love it.

Speaker 1 Well, we loved you. Marshall Blackbourne, the US Senator from the great state of Tennessee. Thank you so much for coming on on Sunday morning, and let’s tach up again real soon.

Speaker 2 You got it. Take care, bye bye, take care.
