Automated transcript · uncorrectedWhat is today? Senator Ron Johnson from the great state of Wisconsin, and he’s on the Homeland Security Committee, He’s on a Governmental Fizz Committee, He’s on the Budget Committee, Fire Relations Committee. He’s a person that knows what the heck is going on. Senator Johnson, what keeps you up this week?
The Biden administration, radical leftists destroying this country. I think what kind of what went on last week is we just saw how incredibly opaque and not transparent the Biden administration is that they really won’t tell Congress, okay, exactly what weapons are you withholding from Israel. They certainly aren’t going to release the audio tape of President Biden’s deposition
with the Special counselor her where you know, the results of that interview was that he thought he couldn’t prosecute President Biden for for far great you know, for true violations of UH, you know, the Federal Records Act, holding in uh top secret information when he shouldn’t have had it in his possession. But the reason he’s not going
to prosecute President Biden is because he’s just too senile and he’d be too sympathetic to it to a jury. So again, We’re just seeing what the radical left is doing in this country and and how the biding mistration, even though they pretty well promised they’d be incredibly transparent, they’re probably about as lawless and opaque administration as we’ve
ever had in US history.
And uh uh well, I mean, do you have the convention this year in uh uh in Milwaukee? Uh, how is that going to affect it?
Well, I’m a little concerned. I appreciate Leader McConnell’s concerns. Uh, the r n C is concerned that the security plan that those i’d believe developed and if not by the secret purpose, has a glaring problem. And that’s a park a block away from the convention site. The original entrance instances would be on this coming in on the street,
both north and south of that park, for where the protesters could gather. Uh. You know, there’s no constraints, there’s no fence around those those protesters. So it’s just a obvious concern. And I met with the Director’s Secret Service the last week and it was frustrating. You know, she used criteria they’ve been using to approve this plan, so
she had the authority to approve the plan or not create the plan, But now she says she doesn’t have the authority to change it, which is absurd to me. She’s, you know, afraid of being due by the a c l U who apparently wanted to set up a protest flight in the convention so their voices could be heard.
But again, we need to understand that society has changed. There’s too much of a danger for peace for protests to turn into riots. We saw that during the summer of twenty twenty, when you know the thousands of peace wear protests, over five hundred turned into riots, with two thousand law enforcement officers, a couple of billion injured, a
couple of billion dollars with property damage, a couple dozen people murdered killed by those peaceful DLM and ANTIFA protesters slash rioters.
It seems like law and order is important onlyed to whether you’re a Republican or whether you’re a Democrat. I mean, it seems like there’s no law and order punishment for people for the Black Lives Matter movement or anything like that.
Well, again, this is really pushed by people like George Soros, who spent a lot of money to legalize marijuana, spent a lot of money getting these district attorneys elected to just refuse to prosecute crimes unless it’s Donald Trump. And then we see the travesty that’s occurring with the DA Braggs and Letitia James there in New York. I mean,
what I mean is this is to be a joke if it weren’t so incredibly serious. What the Democrats? What President Biden? He sent his number three man’s just department down to New York to prosecute this case. Don’t don’t tell me that Biden isn’t behind this election interference, this travesty of justice against their president Trump.
Do you think, and we talked about it a couple of days ago, do you think that number three man that used to be a member of the Democratic National Committee had undue influence in the Justice Department? In running the Justice Department?
Well, again, that’s what’s amazing to me, is somebody to give up that’s a very high level job justice to go to a even New York, it’s a local jurisdiction, to become you know, go into the DA’s office, become a prosecutor in a city. I mean, in normal times, I’d be considered a real demotion. The only reason he
did it is he had to be sent there by probably Joe Biden Merrick Garland and say, no, you make sure that President Trump, who’s going to be my opponent in the presidential race of twenty twenty four, is held up from campaigning for weeks at a time. And boy, if we’re really lucked out, maybe we can put the
guy in jail, they asked. So they directed the number three person at the Justice Department to go spearhead that prosecution. I mean, I mean that alone is corrupt.
Understood. What else Sunday morning, what else would you like to talk about?
Well, I’m still highly concerned about what’s happened in Ukraine. Remember Schumer came out of the White House meeting and said that this is simple. They get sixty billion dollars, they win. They don’t get it, they lose. The minute they got the sixty one billion dollars of the White House saying well, we don’t think that’s going to be enough.
And that’s the fact of the matter. Is what has happened now is is this war, which was entirely justified initially when Vladimir Putin the war criminal invaded Ukraine. Ukrainians responded, we had to help. But what has happened now over two years has devolved into a proxy war between the West and Russia. And the warrings now are just completely
screwed up, and we’re now feeling a bloody scalemate with no end in sight. Because the only way this is in this negotiated settlement. Vladimir Putin will not lose this. And so I’m very concerned that our policy makers, President Biden, people that actually voted for the funding just aren’t facing that awful reality and acting accordingly. I mean, you’ve got
to do something to bring Vladimir Putin in the go gating table and end this buddy stalemate. This is not gonna work out well.
Any and it’s not a lot of people are dying, and it’s not you know, remember what President Eisenhower said, you know, beware of the military industrial complex. And there are some people that just want to sell arms, Senator and and uh, but I think we’ve got to settle this one way or another. And we just I understand
that we’re fighting Russia and we’re using the Ukrainians to do it, but somewhere along the line, there’s got to be some peace.
Well, John, I would ask you listeners, just go back in time to glassnowse pair of stryker Gorbachev cooperating with the James Baker. We weren’t going to move NATO, you know, one inch to the east, and we we’ve moved it hundreds of miles. You know, why didn’t peace break out?
You know?
Why? Why are we back in cold war? In a hot war with Russia? Possibly possibly the contrigger like a nuclear conflagration? What what happened? Who blew that piece? Uh? Those people aren’t being held accountable. But you mentioned the military industrial complex. We did not heed Eisenhower’s warning the way we should have.
I agree with you. Any progress on Israel.
Uh, that’s just sad. The fact that then the President United States, would you know early on stay he’s going to completely support Israel and almost immediately started undermining their efforts, their legitimate efforts. They’re they’re absolutely necessary efforts to defend themselves by destroying Hamas is just outrageous. But unfortunately he’s he’s pattering to his base. He wants to win Michigan
and so he’s pandering to the the pro Hamas element of his party. And you know, we’re tragically seeing all these protests on college campuses, a few by decades of of the radical left indoctrination on our college campuses. That’s that’s a long term problem that’s going to take some time to solve, but we need to recognize what’s happening
there as well.
Understood. Uh well, Senator Johnson, your Middle America. Uh you know you. You worry about our country, you worry about the world. And I want to thank you again for coming on this Sunday morning.
I wish you could be more uplifting, but God bless you, John, take care of bless
