Speaker 1 Sunday morning. What is the Sunday morning is the speaker of the hust of Representatives? We have what is speak of Mike Johnson, And so many things are happening the Speaker that I don’t know where to begin. But the last few days have been quite interesting. We’re dead debate on Thursday night. Where do you think the Democratic Party is?

Where do you think the country is?

Speaker 2 That’s a great question. Great to talk with you, John It’s good to be with you on the weekend. It has been an historic week for sure. And where are the Democrats. Well, they’re in full fledged panic mode, as you know. But the interesting thing is, and what we’ve been saying all the last few days is yeah, the

Democrats are in panic today, but the American people have been in panic throughout the Biden administration and their policies have gotten us into the mess that we’re in. And everybody knows that, and it was highlighted on that stage Thursday night. The reason the Democrats for panicking right now is because their charade is over. They can’t gloss over

this anymore. Everyone can see that the current commander in chief is clearly not up to the job. It’s a very dangerous situation for us on the international on the world stage. But in the meantime, in terms of the politics, they don’t know what to do. I mean, everyone saw an objective truth. President Trump is the only man on

that stage who is capable of being president in twenty twenty five, and they have no backup plan.

Speaker 1 Well, what I tell all my friends and what I tell people that I even tell my Democratic friends that that President Trump is the only one that has the courage. Well, and I do say it has the testicos to do something about the world and put his foot down. And there’s nobody else likes him right now, and the rest

of our choices. Court made some interesting observations and decisions the last few days too. I mean, this is mind bottling. January sixth. Everything that the Democrats have told us about January sixth doesn’t seem to be all true. Do you think the American people will ever find out the truth of what happened? And there’s so many people still in

jail for January sixth that don’t deserve to be in jail.

Speaker 2 That’s clear. And the Supreme Court did make a landmark opinion this week. I mentioned it was a historic week for lots of reasons, but that’s one of them. Because the court, now the highest court in the land, has finally acknowledged that so many of these defendants were overcharged, meaning that the Department of Justice and all of its

various divisions truly was weaponized against these people. They clear really wanted to make a political point. They tried to make January sixth more than it was by charging these people with these long litany of crimes that clearly was not appropriate. And so it does a reset for not only the narrative about January six but the true revelation

of the facts there. And we’ve been doing our own work in the House. Meanwhile, that’s your Article three branch, the judicial branch. Well, we’ve been doing it under the Article one branch in the legislative branch. And we have had a committee of our own now under the House Republican majority investigating the January sixth Selects committee that Pelosi

and the Democrats put together. It was a total charage, John, We all know that intuitively, and now the evidence is being uncovered, it has shown that that committee not only did roughshod work it wasn’t appropriate under House rules, but they also hid evidence, and by some of the things that have been uncovered and may even have destroyed a

lot of evidence. So there’s a report that’ll be coming out here soon that details all of that, and I think it will be shocking to a lot of the American people. But we’ve been saying this for a long long time. That was a political charade to go after Donald Trump and his supporters, and I think the evidence

is going to show it clearly.

Speaker 1 Mister speaker. The other thing that we’re finding out that the Department of Justice is being undoably influenced by political appointees that have been running the FBI Washington office like their own hit squad. I hate to say it like that, but you know, the FBI ninety nine point nine percent of them, ninety nine point ninety nine percent of them

are on is pod, working people that love America. How do we fix the problem in Washington where political appointees running a run doing situations like that.

Speaker 2 That’s a great question. I mean, we have had such great concern about this weaponization of all the federal agencies, the regulatory agencies, of course, and by the way, John, before you forget, there was another landmark Supreme Court opinion late this week as well, and that was late last week, and that was the Chevron doctrine was overturned, meaning that

the agencies no longer have defference with regard to their own rulemaking. They’ve effectively become like little legislatures and they’re imposing this labyrinth of regulations upon all these industries and regulating them out of existence. And the Supreme Court says, you don’t have the constitutional authority of that to do that.

That belongs to the legislative branch. So that will have lots of ramifications too. But look among the agencies that have been weaponized, among the ones that give us the most concern is the Department of Justice itself, because there is you know, we’re coming up this week on the July fourth, our two hundred and forty eighth birthday as

the nation. When the founders put this grand experiment in self governance together, one of the presuppositions to Keith the Republic was that people would know that we have a fair system of justice, that we have equal justice under law, which is chiseled into the marble above the front doors of the Supreme Court. The people had to know that

there’s not two tiers of justice, one for the wealthy and powerful and well connected, and one for everyone else. But that’s exactly what they’ve seen to your point. You know, the field agents of the FBI are patriotic, self sacrificing Americans who are doing great work, almost every single one of them. But the few leaders at the top can

a couple bad apples can ruin the reputation of an agency that’s so critical for us. We’ve got to do real reform. We have big plans to do that when we take over the majority in the Senate, we grow the majority in the House, that we get the White House back, and I think it’ll be a top priority

for us.

Speaker 1 A snore item, but I know it’s close to my hut and close to many people’s hut. AM Radio. I heard there’s bipartisan legislation that’s going through to save AM radio. Uh and uh, what do you what’s what’s your understanding on it?

Speaker 2 Well, listen, I’m dialed in on that. Pardon the pund because that’s a very very important piece of Americana. It’s also important to states. I mean, AM radio just very practical implication of losing this you might not have proper communication during emergencies like you know, weather emergencies and the rest and national emergencies. AM radio is critical to who

we are. But I’ll tell you what. It’s being targeted by the left. They want to regulate it out of existence. They want to take it out of new you know, new electric vehicles that are being produced in the rest.

Why John, Because well, the vast majority of the voices on AM radio lean to the right, and that’s a threat to the to the radical work, progressive agenda. So they say, you know, not the free market, free marketplace of ideas, not the fair exchange of ideas. They want to censor in silence their opponents that, you know, the

people that have different viewpoints. It’s un American. Getting rid of AM radio is un American, and we’re fighting it. There’s some good legislation. Thankfully, it is bipartisan. There are some Democrats who understand this as well, that they it should be free and fair and open, the free exchange of ideas. And so I think ultimately that legislation is

going to prevail. I hope that we can do it before the end of this Congress ends in December, but if not, I suspect it will be taken up quickly in the new Congress in January. And as I again, as they say, I’m absolutely convinced. I’m increasingly confident, John, we are going to have the White House, the Senate,

and the House for the Republican Party. And so we’re going to restore sanity and that’ll be.

Speaker 1 A piece of the agenda. Anything else, you Well, we want to tell the American people this Sunday morning.

Speaker 2 Well, listen, I think there’s a lot of good feeling about where we are in terms of our chances in the Republican Party. The polling has really been remarkable. I mean, after that debate, of the polling is affirming what we all kind of know intuitively. I have one in front of me, the New Ledger National Call pre debate. They

had Biden forty three forty one over Trump. Post debate, Trump is now fifty forty two. Everyone who saw that or heard of it, or saw of that debate knows that Joe Biden cannot serve another term as president. And we just need to pray that we can get survived now between now and the election day. It can’t get

here soon enough. But we don’t take anything for granted. We run like we’re ten points behind, and I think for that reason, the House majority will be grown. That’s what I’m working on. And I want to tell everybody in New York thank you so much, because you’ve sent some extraordinary legislators, Republican members of the House, and we

need every single one of them back so they can help us fix this country. And we’re ready to go.

Speaker 1 Mister Speaker, God bless you, God bless us America, and let’s pray for the success of America. We work hard enough to make sure America gets to the three hundredth year of twenty seventy six. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 A man, thank you. My friend talked to you later.
