Automated transcript · uncorrectedWith us this morning, Sunday morning, Marsia, Senator Marsha Blackburn through the great state of Tennessee. And so many things have happened in the last few days, and we don’t know where the heck we are. Senator Middle America, Tennessee. What are you feeling Sunday morning about what happened?
You know?
People saw President Trump have one of the all time greatest debate performances ever. He was focused, he could lay out a review in a recap of what he did as president, what life was like under him as president.
And then they saw a very weak, disoriented Joe Biden. He could not defend his record because he has a failed presidency. They saw him be dishonest about his answers, whether it was on the economy or the border, or Iran or Ukraine. That dishonesty came true. And this was on debate rules that they had agreed to. They set
the rules, and Trump said, sure, we just need to get him on the debate stage. And they saw that he was not capable of meeting the demands of a ninety minute debate. So, John, how is he capable of meeting the demands of a rigorous schedule of making policy decisions for the people of this country, for this country
on the global stage, for our military. So I think that there are many many people who were independents and Democrats who watched that last night and said, for the good of the country, I’m voting for Donald Trump.
I agree with you.
I think that President Biden, I guess it was obvious that he’s not capable of serving another four years. And I don’t think anybody wants to end up with Kamala Harris as president.
No one wants to have Kamala Harris as president. And I think it was so interesting that they did send her out there to try to do damage control last night. I thought that was a very interesting position for them to take. And what we’ve gotten to realize is that the American people are quite concerned not only for the
next few years, but the next few months. And Donald Trump is going to win this election. He is going to be the forty seventh president of the United States. I was just so pleased and really proud that he is our nominee and that he was able to articulate his message so clearly last night.
I agree with you. The other problem that now exists that he president Biden is still president for six more months or seven more months, and is he capable of running me of the world, because the president of the United States runs the world for the next six and a half months.
And we have got to be certain that we are focused. You know, when you talk about the nation’s impact on the world, John, we have the House, the Senate, and the White House that we’re looking at in this election cycle.
So indeed, it is going to be important that we keep our focus on that and that we do our best to turn out this vote and make certain that people get to the polls and vote.
I agree with you, and.
Well, we pray for America, Senator, And what are the biggest issues that you are seeing for the next six months. The border’s issue is very important that he doesn’t start a war in the Middle East that well puts everybody in trouble.
And as I’m out and about around Tennessee, John, people are talking about the border because every town’s the border town. Now, when you look at the drugs, when you look at crime that has escalated because of those that are illegally coming in the country, when you look at families that are losing loved ones, to fentanyl. When you look at
the human trafficking and sex trafficking that is taking place, all of this plays into the concerns of the American people. And when you pay attention to what they are saying and really listening, people are saying, Look, we don’t want the government to be weaponized against people. We don’t want to tears of justice, We don’t want this high inflation.
We can’t afford to live because of the price of gas except fifty four percent, heating and cooling, forty one percent, rent, thirty three percent, food twenty five percent. The overall inflation rate is twenty percent over the last three years. And as much as Joe Biden wants to say he and here’s a bad inflation rate, he can’t say that inflation
was one point four percent when he took office. He could have done nothing and been in better shape than what he is right now.
We all agree, Senator Blackburn.
We pray for America, and like I said, the biggest danger is in the next six months we start more in the Middle East or somewhere, and that will put us in.
Bigger danger well, and we’re going to be doing our part and making certain that we do our part to keep this country safe and secure. I think the American people are ready to show up to vote for Donald Trump.
They’re going to help us keep the Senate. I’m on the ballot for re election this year. Your listeners can keep up with me at Marsha Blackburn dot com. We have to make certain that we keep our that we take the Senate, and that we keep the House, and we put Donald Trump in the White House. So we
