Speaker 1 Well, Sunday morning, another catsmeatitis, another success. My cousin Anthula catsmeatides. But her names were to Kay. My names were to see why. It was on a different line on the Loos Island between our grandfathers. And she took a tragedy in life. She lost a brother and during nine to eleven and then another brother and her dad. And she

worked hard. She became an actress. She became an actress, a writer, a producer, a voiceover artist. And last week she got the Gabi Awards and there was this and it was a very very special event where twenty Greek women women only got to Gabya woods Well, Antullah, congratulations.

I wish your father was here to see you succeed. Tell us all about it.

Speaker 2 Thank you so much, John, I really appreciate it. I appreciate the time. I love your show. Your audience members are incredible. I know you have a great following, so I really am honored.

Speaker 1 To be speaking with you today.

Speaker 2 I was a goddess. Actually the theme of the night on Saturday night was Goddesses in our midst and I was recognized by an organization called the Greek America Foundation, and that is an organization that was founded by a gentleman named Gregory Pappus, and his goal was to perpetuate all things Greek and to preserve our heritage, which John,

you do so well in every facet of your life. And it was truly an honor to share the stage with some absolutely incredible women. I am very proud to have been a part of it. People can visit Greek America Foundation dot org for more information. And as far as I’m concerned, you know, I was honored because of

all the things you said, right, I turned tragedy into triumphs. I’ve done so many things for Greek American community, and you’ve done this as well. You’ve helped you parade, you.

Speaker 1 Worked with Robert de Niro, you worked with Michelle Pfeiffer, you worked with Jane Fonda, with Rosa Burne, Jane Cemour. I mean you you worked with a lot of famous people. And I see you on television all the time. And was it Law and Order?

Speaker 2 Yes, Law and Order SVU. Absolutely, that is a godsend. And recently I was on you haven’t seen the show yet, but it’s called Severance. It’s on Apple TV, and it’s really wonderful when people call me out of the blue light?

Did I just see you? On TV?

Speaker 2 On the show Separence, which was directed by Ben Stiller. So I’ve had the honor of working with Ben Stiller as well, and some really leading names in the industry. And you know, John, I started acting late in life.

I you know, was a account executive and in an advertising firm, and then I went on to get my master’s degree and I taught high school right and then as the tragedies began to build up, I ended up working for Governor Pataki, and you know that, well, my favorite governor in the world.

Speaker 1 I was. It was one great governor for twelve years.

Speaker 2 He really was, He really really was, and just a wonderful human being. So on the onset of September eleventh, unfortunately I did lose my brother, John Katsimatidis, and I was appointed to work on the Lower Manhattan development of the entire sixteen acre site. And then I was appointed to the board of directors of the National September eleventh

Memorial and Museum. And I’m really really proud of the you know memorial and the this.

Speaker 1 Is this is the twenty fifth year this year.

Speaker 2 Specially celebrating the twenty fourth year. So twenty twenty six is the twenty fifth anniversary, and we’re already I’m glad you bring that up, because we’re already beginning our you know, kind of campaign to you know, not only commemorate, but also to educate because I’m sure you know this, but there are I think there’s some kind of a stat

where there are more people alive today that we’re not alive on September eleventh, and so our mission is really to educate younger people and you know, so that nine to eleven doesn’t repeat itself, and so that people are aware of what happened on that faithful day. And so I’m really proud to be a part of that. I’m

also proud to be on the parish council the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox National Shrine, which you have contributed in so many ways to help build this beautiful Greek Orthodox Church, which I have to say, John, it is you walk on any Sunday and there are people of all different races and ethnicities and sizes and shapes. It is just

an incredible installation in the downtown fabric of Manhattan. And I invite everybody to come to Saint Nicholas on any given Sunday and say hi from there. So my commitment to you know, community that really came through my healing process is something that has has really, you know, made me the person that I am today.

Speaker 1 Well, Sola Katsmatitis, congratulations and thank you.

Speaker 2 So much, and thank you so much.

Speaker 1 And by the way, I’m I’m now a member of Saga for two and my movie is coming out in December twenty fifth, twenty five.

Speaker 2 Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to find out all about that.

Speaker 1 It’s a it’s a very famous actor, Timothy Charlemagne, is it.

Speaker 2 Of course, yes, Timothy’s a star.

Speaker 1 Well, oh my.

Speaker 2 Goodness, we have to talk about that. I just did a short film with his sister actually, which is funny. But I just want to leave you with this. I’m going to come back on your show because I’m working with an award winning director currently on a autobiographical solo theater performance that will hopefully be performed in honor of

my brothers for the twenty fifth anniversary of nine to eleven in September twenty twenty six. So more on that to come. People can visit my website and Thulla dot com for more information.

Speaker 1 You are family and you’re always welcome. Thank you so.

Speaker 2 Much, thank you, I love you, John. Bye bye everyone,
