Automated transcript · uncorrectedWell, let’s go to Texas. What the heck is going on? With us today is Congresswoman Beth Van Dyne. And, well, Congresswoman, you know, we’re down to a few days. Where the heck are we?
Well, look, I mean, you have seen a ton of Democrats, you know, very, very super excited to support their radical socialist ticket this year. And they’ve come out.
You know, they’ve come out in early voting.
The last couple of days of our election, of our early voting is going to be a gut check. And I think Republican voters have started pushing, you know, we’re pushing the gas pedal down since Monday. Democrats are gassing out.
They front-loaded the turnout. But many of our most reliable and our conservative voters are just now showing up to the polls. But honestly, all the candidates, including me, we’re melting phone lines. We are knocking on doors. We’re sending out emails. We’re emailing folks and just, you know, saying, look, you know, thanks to... President Trump and the Republicans in Congress,
we’ve got the most secure border in history. We’ve deported millions of criminal aliens. Our Made in America tax cuts have brought back manufacturing jobs from overseas. And this is huge for our working families. It’s huge for our skilled trades.
We’ve delivered on tax cuts for working families that literally have put thousands of dollars back in the hands of American families instead of being spent by Washington bureaucrats. This is a message that we need to continue to get out.
And every single Republican who cares about the future of our country, who cares about the future of their kids, has got to help us get that message out.
I agree. But Texas was such a red state. Give us your gut feeling. What the heck is it? that they’re upset about Senator Corrin, and they’re upset about Attorney General Paxton. What is going on?
There’s all those things, but I will tell you, everybody assumes and takes for granted at times that Texas is a red state. This is something every two years we have to fight. Back in 2020... When I was first running for Congress, a lot of people don’t remember this, but I was expected to lose every single political, especially
in D.C., political handicapper. So whether or not it was Cook or Sabato, they all said that I was toast. They all said that I was going to lose. And on election day, we actually won. But we had to wait almost two weeks for them to call the election.
So two things on that. One, don’t ever just take for granted that your state or that your district is red. You have to get out. You’ve got to meet with your constituents. You’ve got to make sure that they understand why it’s so important that they vote for you. But two, just because the polls tell you it’s going to go
one way, If you work it, we can always come back and we can win. And that is the message. I don’t want any Republican out there to lose heart. If we get our message out, if you work hard, you will win. We’ve got the numbers. We’ve got the numbers in Texas. We’ve just got to get them to
the polls.
Understood. Well, Congresswoman, I mean, tell us how you feel about the overall country. I mean, I’ve been preaching that I want, whether you’re a Democrat, whether you’re an independent, whether you’re a Republican that is upset with President Trump, regardless of all that, what’s more important is we keep the free world free and we stop the borders. We’re
going to make America drug-free again. And we’re doing almost everything right. Why would anybody vote for the other side?
I always think because we are, you know, running against Santa Claus. When you’ve got people who said, you don’t have to work, we’re going to pay for everything. We’re going to use free health care, free Social Security, free housing, free schools. Everything is free. And this is what they’re teaching our kids, that they are to hate our country,
to hate capitalism, and that you will get everything free. This is not working. It’s not sustainable. And they mean one country where that has ever worked. What we need to remember is the damage that Democrats will do if they gain power again, because look at what they did when they were in power a few years ago. We
had the highest, most painful inflation that I’ve ever endured in my lifetime. We’re still trying to shake that off. We saw Democrats that flooded our country with literally tens of millions of illegal immigrants that caused massive cost increases, especially in housing.
The Dallas Fed and then also the San Francisco Fed just came out with a paper that shows that because as a direct result of the Biden’s mass illegal immigration, that 30 percent, we saw housing costs that went up 30 percent and we saw apartment costs that.
Went up 20 percent. And by the way, if you keep in mind, the Democrat.
Solution to this is always, always to enact brutally high new taxes on the most productive Americans. We’re talking like small business folks, entrepreneurs, and the people who are actually investing in the growth of the private sector. Just last year, every single Democrat.
Voted for a $ 4 trillion tax increase. That would have hit, by the way, not the billionaires in our country, but 90% of American people. This is what we’re fighting against. This is what we’re fighting for. And we just have to remind people, look, you see the division. You see some of the nastiness in our country. This is how
you have to fight, though. You’ve got to get to the polls, and you’ve got to support the people who are supporting you. You’ve got to support the people that are fighting to get taxes out of the government and put dollars in your pockets. If you’ve worked for it, you should be able to keep it. If you’re willing
to work hard, you should be able to be successful. And this is not about, okay, we’re going to give you everything free. It has never happened in any long-term society. It is not sustainable. And I do not want to put that debt around the necks of my kids or anybody else’s.
Well, Congressman Beth Van Dyne, we pray, you know, we pray in church because we want common sense for America. And thank you so much for coming on. And we’ll catch up again real soon.
Thank you. And again, get the message out. Republicans vote, Republicans win. This is absolutely attainable. It needs to happen.
And God love you, John, for getting that message out and for all you do every day.
Really appreciate you having me on.
Thank you so much.
